I am nominating this for featured list because after cleaning up the tables and rewriting the lead, I believe it meets all featured list criteria. See also the current 400 metres candidate. Editør (talk) 22:26, 3 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
- Note that at the top of the FLC page it says
Nominators should not add a second featured list nomination until the first has gained substantial support and reviewers' concerns have been substantially addressed.
Your other nom has one support but I'm not sure that really counts as "substantial support"....... -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 07:25, 4 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]- I thought nominating them alongside each other would make the process simpler. — Editør (talk) 07:58, 4 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
- Editør, wouldn't that make the process harder? 48JCL 20:09, 4 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
- @48JCL, if you think so, you could maybe comment on the 400 metres candidate first? And keep this one on hold as it were. – Editør (talk) 20:59, 4 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
- @Editør, placed my comments. 48JCL 21:56, 4 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

As I commented on the 400 hurdles progression discussion, there is a timeliness factor to consider. Currently, there has been no development on the subject of this article for two years. We can anticipate it will be relevant when this race is run in the Olympics in a few weeks. The semi-final is August 9, the final on August 10. Any number of athletes have the potential to improve upon the record then, or come close. I will note, the most recent improvement happened in a semi-final. Simply that this high level of competition will happen on those dates would make this an appropriate list to feature at that time. Trackinfo (talk) 08:34, 5 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
- Thank you for your comment that appears to be about featuring this list on Wikipedia's main page. Just like with your comment on the 400 metres candidate, you seem to be thinking ahead, because before this can happen, the article first needs to pass this featured list nomination to reach the featured list class. – Editør (talk) 10:54, 5 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
- Tables need row scopes on the "primary" column for each row, which in combination with column scopes lets screen reader software accurately determine and read out the headers for each cell of a data table. Row scopes can be added by adding
!scope=row
to each primary cell, e.g.|{{flagathlete|[[Karin Balzer]]|GDR}}
becomes!scope=row |{{flagathlete|[[Karin Balzer]]|GDR}}
. If the cell spans multiple rows with a rowspan, then use!scope=rowgroup
instead. - Please see MOS:DTAB for example table code if this isn't clear. I don't return to these reviews until the nomination is ready to close, so ping me if you have any questions. This is not a full review, and does not result in a support vote. --PresN 19:01, 11 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

edit- Oppose as a clear violation of the stated rule of not having two nominations active unless the first nomination has garnered significant support. It is clear the first nomination has not garnered significant support, the nominator has noted their understanding of this rule and clarified their disregard for it (
I thought nominating them alongside each other would make the process simpler
). @FLC director and delegates: it is unfair to the process and other editors who follow this rule to the t to keep this open. « Gonzo fan2007 (talk) @ 17:16, 18 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]- Copy of my statement at Wikipedia:Featured list candidates/Women's 400 metres hurdles world record progression/archive1 @User:Gonzo fan2007: I'm not sure what you are trying to achieve, I don't find your comments constructive, and therefore I no longer see the point of continuing to discuss matters with you. – Editør (talk) 18:00, 18 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Closing this nomination- it was premature, but also per the closure of the 400m list, there does not seem to be a path forward for these lists to reach a consensus to promote. --PresN 12:14, 19 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
