Giles O'Grady edit

Hey, thanks for your efforts in editing Wikipedia. We always like to see new blood around! I just wanted to give you a heads up that I have reverted your speedy delete tag on Giles O'Grady. Although G3 is a valid criteria for articles with barely any content, a quick check in the history shows that the article has existed since 2009, and that someone has been gutting the article on and off since November. In that case it would be better to revert the damage rather than applying a speedy deletion tag. No big deal, just a heads up for future deletion tagging. Happy holidays :) ♠PMC(talk) 14:22, 25 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

Rollback edit

Hi, I just wanted to drop a note explaining a bit more why I declined your rollback request. While you meet the edit count requirement and are certainly enthusiastic for reverting vandalism, you have only really been active here a week, and I think that people need time in addition to edits to learn our policies and guidelines, especially when the main reason for seeking the tool is access to Huggle, which is a very powerful tool that can be easy to make mistakes with (I won't use it because I'm too afraid I'll mess it up). While you're probably smarter than me and can figure things out better, I think it would be best to wait a few weeks before applying for rollback. If you keep editing and doing well, you should be a great candidate around the end of January. All the best, TonyBallioni (talk) 21:49, 30 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hi, thanks for the additional explanation, and i can totally understand your reservations to give someone with as little experience as i have, who started being an active user this monday, access to such powerful tools as Huggle. And its not like using Twinkle is so inefficient to use that it becomes a chore. The main reason i want to use, or at least try Huggle is the queue of recent edits is easier to use than the recent changes page. So again thank you and i guess see you at the end of January or sooner should our paths cross beforehand. Zocke1r (talk) 22:39, 30 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

Protection policy edit

Hi Zocke1r. I noticed your edit changing an "or" to an "and", but in my view "or" is correct there. An editor who has crossed one of the thresholds but not the other is still not extended-confirmed: Noyster (talk), 17:33, 5 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

@Noyster: Yes, I'm sorry. It appears as I misunderstood the section, for whatever reason I thought it was stating who was allowed to edit, not who was not allowed to edit. But thank you for correction the error. Zocke1r (talk) 19:26, 5 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

January 2018 edit

Hello, I'm CAPTAIN RAJU. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions —the one you made with this edit to JellyRoll— because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Dispute resolution -- Charles Dutoit edit

Hi. re: Charles Dutoit. I have just posted a request for dispute resolution at the Wikipedia:Dispute resolution noticeboard. Here's the link -- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Dispute_resolution_noticeboard#Talk:Charles_Dutoit I ask all interested editors to take a moment and present their side of the story on the noticeboard. Thanks for your willingness to discuss.--Jburlinson (talk) 00:46, 28 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

  • Sorry, but the request for dispute resolution has been closed for the following reason: "Closed as not meeting the prerequisites of this noticeboard. The filing editor states accurately that User:Petrov2017 is not engaging in discussion on the article talk page. However, discussion on the article talk page is a prerequisite to discussion here. Participation here is voluntary, for editors who have tried to discuss and have not agreed; editors who do not discuss cannot be dragged here. See the essay on failure to discuss, and the edit-warring policy. Options for the filing party (and other editors who agree with them) include filing a report at the edit-warring noticeboard after providing a warning." After sharing this with Petrov2017, I intend to warn him that my next step is to file a report at the edit-warring noticeboard. Sorry for taking up space on your talk page.--Jburlinson (talk) 02:14, 28 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

Rollback granted edit

Hi Zocke1r. After reviewing your request for "rollbacker", I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war.
  • If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
  • Use common sense.

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! Widr (talk) 20:20, 29 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

Thank you and keep up the good work! West.andrew.g (talk) 06:00, 30 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

My edits edit

Hello, I changed Monica Rambeau because it was a spelling error. the2m is a valid change. Please do not revert this change. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.197.249.118 (talk) 18:49, 2 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

@64.197.249.118: Sorry, it appears that i mistook your change for the one adding the 2 not removing it. I have removed the warning from your Talk page.

Rollback in San Soo (Gerald Okamura) edit

Hi,

I can't imagine that adding a notable public person (Hollywood actor and stuntman, not to mention weapons-maker) as a "Notable practitioner" under a martial art could possibly be not be deemed "constructive". Please advise or include the note as-submitted.

Juc3rd (talk) 23:30, 9 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

@Juc3rd: Hi, i agree there is no reason to remove the entry, I have undone my removal and removed the warning from the talk page as well. Thanks for notifying me of that mistake. Zocke1r (talk) 08:16, 10 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
