Speedy deletion nomination of User:ZealousBlaze/sandbox

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on User:ZealousBlaze/sandbox, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. July 2021

edit

Hello ZealousBlaze. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:ZealousBlaze. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=ZealousBlaze|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. David Gerard (talk) 07:20, 22 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hi. I am not getting any compensation out of this. I decided to create the article since it is the first company still in startup status to have partnered with Google, which I think is a big deal. If you want to delete it, go ahead. In the end, you would just be preventing people from getting to know more about venture capital. I'm not here for money or recognition, I'm here because I believe in free knowledge. For me, the way this company has grown is something to look up to. And for your information, I work at a music database company, which has nothing to do with this. Have a great weekend :) ZealousBlaze (talk) 05:47, 24 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

Oh and one more thing. I used Square and Clover's articles as a way to outline my artice, since they are all pos sistems. Maybe you should delete them too. Also, I used several AI writting assistants for it to not sound biased in any way, since it's not, so maybe a couple examples of sentences in which I sound like I'm promoting something, I'd love to read them. And just to be clear, facts and promotion are two different things, right? Like, not because I'm not trashing something means I'm promoting it, right? ZealousBlaze (talk) 05:52, 24 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

Please do not remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your removal of this template does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Thank you. David Gerard (talk) 11:53, 24 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

The other message says I can remove the template to stop the deletion. This honestly just makes me not want to contribute to any Wikimedia project anymore. I know it might not look as important to you, but I have dedicated time and effort to many projects, but why would I when one person's criteria is all it takes? I am not getting paid or are affiliated to this company, and it's rude to just answer what you want instead of the questions I asked. Don't I deserve an explanation? This type of actions are what is making people lose interest in volunteering. Just delete the article, and my account if you can. ZealousBlaze (talk) 13:54, 24 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of SpotOn Transact

edit

The article SpotOn Transact has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Promotional page created by SPA. No evidence of notability; all apparent RS references are funding rounds, which are not usable for notability under WP:CORPDEPTH. A WP:BEFORE shows no evidence of coverage passing WP:CORP, WP:GNG or any other notability guideline; it's all press releases and a bit of churnalism in advertorial outlets. Needs three RSes with actual independent coverage to survive.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. David Gerard (talk) 07:24, 22 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

I am not affiliated or getting paid for this article in any way. I just discovered what unicorn companies were a couple of months ago and found it interesting. It's very discouraging that writing about cold, hard facts could be considered as promotional. I wonder how many articles get rejected this way... Makes me think maybe you guys get paid to delete articles. ZealousBlaze (talk) 05:57, 24 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
