Request reason:

Yes, I see, new book = evil. References = evil. Probably academic publications are generally evil. Even the additions to the YMCA page on Asia = evil. Okay, that said, which sounds a bit dramatic, we can maybe have a normal conversation? Ask yourself: do you want to go to all wikipedia pages and delete references and literature? Even things that were added years ago? No, you won't, but it wouldn't be different, because all these other people are allso allegedly "promoting" their books. Or, more realistically, they added references and further information - what the purpose of wikipedia is - to provide RELIABLE information. Please ask yourself what you do here by suppressing new research and deleting reference material. Quite a lot of pages had no referenes at all and you're doing your best to keep it so. Certainly not the job of an "editor". Moreover, I doubt that you know anything about the book, the articles, the content you deleted, or the topics you you deal with. That's okay, but seriously ask yourself if that doesn't mean that your behavior isn't arbitrary.

Decline reason:

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.
