Fiesta Online edit

The speedy deletion of this page is contested. The person placing this notice intends to dispute the speedy deletion of this article on its talk page, and requests that this page not be deleted in the meantime.

Note that this request is not binding, and the page may still be deleted if the page unquestionably meets the speedy deletion criteria, or if the promised explanation is not provided very soon. This template should not be removed from a page still marked with a speedy deletion template.

A tag has been placed on Fiesta Online, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. --Finngall talk 00:50, 3 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages, such as Fiesta Online, to Wikipedia. Doing so is not in accordance with our policies. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. —C.Fred (talk) 02:09, 3 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Just because it's neither dangerous nor blasphemous doesn't make it appropriate for Wikipedia. Before you get too far into the article, why don't you give me the links to your independent sources so I can go ahead and prescreen them? Without sources, the article will be deleted. —C.Fred (talk) 02:19, 3 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
The article has no content. You can always remake the article when you come back with something substantial that is referenced. --Tdmg 20:04, 3 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. An article you recently created, Fiesta Online, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for new articles, so it will shortly be removed (if it hasn't been already). Please use the sandbox for any tests you may want to do and please read our introduction page to learn more about contributing. Thank you. Xiaphias 06:53, 3 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

The page, as it stands, is not an article -- it's a collection of broken 'speedy deletion' tags. Feel free to recreate the article, but don't submit it until you've actually written the article (i.e., don't create the page first and then write the article). If you have any questions, just ask me. --Xiaphias 07:15, 3 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
It looks like the game is a valid MMOG, so it shouldn't be a problem if you want to create an article about it. I'm not sure why it was deleted before.--Xiaphias 07:24, 3 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles that you have created yourself, as you did with Fiesta Online. If you do not believe the article should be deleted, then please place {{hangon}} on the page (please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag) and make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. ~ Wikihermit 07:23, 3 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Not a problem. An admin will come by at some point and delete the page. If you want to test, you can do so in your own user space. You can test your edits here if you'd like, and you won't have to worry about vandalism. ~ Wikihermit 07:29, 3 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
You're page can't stay, because it doesn't qualify as encyclopedic. See WP:NOT, which has a list of rules of what can NOT be in wikipedia. We can't use wikipedia to provide information to gamers about a game. ~ Wikihermit 07:35, 3 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
  • No; I meant that the article contains no statement that would have established notability of the website; see WP:WEB for our notability guidelines for web content. (I have also linked the relevant speedy deletion criterion.) - Mike Rosoft 20:33, 3 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Please stop recreating this article. edit

Fiesta Online still fails the notability standards edit

I took at the links you mentioned on my talk page, and here's what I found:

  • outspark.com is the Fiesta Online registration site, so it's not independent. Actually, this site more damning than helpful, because of the words "closed public beta" prominently displayed. As a general rule, games in beta—and especially closed beta—fall well-short of notability.
  • Bright Kingdom online is in Japanese, so there's no way to verify what the content is. It looks like more of a games directory than review site, so I'm not sure it would count as a valid secondary source anyway.
  • gtgame.com.cn is in Chinese, so again, it's hard to verify, but it looks like a game registration splash page.
  • fiestaonline.co.kr looks like the game's Korean site, so again, not independent.
  • The outspark.com forum fails doubly: not only is it not independent, but it's a forum.

I did a Google search, and the most promising thing I found was onrpg.com; however, it looks like it's user-added reviews, and there aren't any currently posted for the game anyway.

Net result, I'm not seeing anything to establish Fiesta Online as notable, so it's premature to go creating an article for it. —C.Fred (talk) 22:26, 3 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

There are press releases on many gaming sites such as MMORPG.com and Massively.com that discuss Fiesta Online. Saying that Fiesta Online is not notable is absurd. Bring the article back up, please. Windrider07 (talk) 18:11, 20 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for File:Caesary-Logo.png edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Caesary-Logo.png. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. fetch·comms 19:03, 12 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image File:Caesary-Logo.png edit

Thanks for uploading File:Caesary-Logo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

PLEASE NOTE:

  • I am a bot, and will therefore not be able to answer your questions.
  • I will remove the request for deletion if the file is used in an article once again.
  • If you receive this notice after the image is deleted, and you want to restore the image, click here to file an un-delete request.

Repost of Caesary edit

A tag has been placed on Caesary requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia, because it appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion process. If you can indicate how it is different from the previously posted material, place the template {{hang on}} underneath the other template on the article and put a note on the page's discussion page saying why this article should stay. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. If you believe the original discussion was unjustified, please contact the administrator who deleted the page or use deletion review instead of continuing to recreate the page. Thank you.   Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used as a platform for advertising or promotion, and doing so is contrary to the goals of this project. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. Speedy deletion nomination of LeKool edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on LeKool, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Gavin.perch (talk) 11:37, 13 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hello. Concerning your contribution, Crystal Saga, please note that Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text or images obtained from other web sites or printed material, without the permission of the author(s). This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://cs.r2games.com/game/origins. As a copyright violation, Crystal Saga appears to qualify for deletion under the speedy deletion criteria. Crystal Saga has been tagged for deletion, and may have been deleted by the time you see this message.

If you believe that the article or image is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the Creative Commons Attribution/Share-Alike License (CC-BY-SA) then you should do one of the following:

  • If you have permission from the author, leave a message explaining the details at Talk:Crystal Saga and send an email with the message to permissions-en wikimedia.org. See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
  • If a note on the original website states that it is licensed under the CC-BY-SA license, leave a note at Talk:Crystal Saga with a link to where we can find that note.
  • If you hold the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en wikimedia.org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the CC-BY-SA and GFDL, and note that you have done so on Talk:Crystal Saga.

However, for textual content, you may simply consider rewriting the content in your own words. While contributions are appreciated, Wikipedia must require all contributors to understand and comply with its copyright policy. File permission problem with File:Soltiaire * Gameplay Image.png edit

Thanks for uploading File:Soltiaire * Gameplay Image.png. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. (ESkog)(Talk) 05:14, 30 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

For the images on the Solitaire * wiki, all images I uploaded were originally created by the company I work for and have been published and can be viewed at piplay.com so I'm not really sure what license to use. They are copyrighted but the images can be used for promotional purposes and for referencing and informational purposes. Windrider07 (talk) 05:22, 30 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Non-free rationale for File:Soltiaire * Gameplay Image.png edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Soltiaire * Gameplay Image.png. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Proposed deletion of Solitaire * edit

The article Solitaire * has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No real assertion of notability. Only sources are unedited press releases.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
