Proposed deletion of The Motherland (Peru)

edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article The Motherland (Peru), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Fair use images in templates

edit

Per WP:NFCC #9 policy, we are not permitted to use fair use images on templates. You've been adding a number of coats of arms to various templates. Many of these coats of arms are marked as non-free images used under terms of fair use on Wikipedia. Please stop adding such images. Thank you, --Hammersoft (talk) 21:32, 19 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

  • This edit of yours added File:Coat of arms of marshall islands.png to Template:Politics of the Marshall Islands. If you look at the coat of arms description page, you will see under summary that it says "Non-free media". Further down under licensing, there is a box noting that this image is copyrighted, and used under terms of fair use on Wikipedia. This is not a free image. I hope I've made that clear. Now, as to the policy, WP:NFCC #9 specifically restricts the location of use of copyrighted material to actual articles. Quoting the policy, "Non-free content is allowed only in articles". Templates are not articles. Non-free media can not be used on templates. Period. I've reverted your addition of this media to that template. Please stop adding copyrighted material to templates. Thank you, --Hammersoft (talk) 21:59, 19 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
HS, as the image was created in 1912 (see image page), it is not eligible for copyright in the US. As such I've reverted your changes.
Wikiperuvian, I strongly advise that you review these images and make sure they are properly labeled. I've fixed information on the coat of arms from Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and I think it is likely that all of these images meet the same criteria. If they meet the criteria as public domain images, please use the appropriate templates to indicate this. If you need help, please contact me on my user page and I'll see what I can do to assist. — BQZip01 — talk 04:22, 20 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Nomination for deletion of Template:Peru sidebar

edit

Template:Peru sidebar has been nominated for deletion. You are invited to comment on the discussion at the template's entry on the Templates for discussion page. Thank you. Victor12 (talk) 15:19, 24 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Peruvian National Seal

edit

Please stop putting the national seal of Peru in the Peru article infobox. The Peruvian constitution only mentions three national symbols, there's no point in adding more to an already large infobox. Greetings, --Victor12 (talk) 15:25, 30 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing →   Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! Moxy (talk) 03:57, 9 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

List of countries and dependencies by population

edit

Some weeks ago, you changed the population for Peru in the List of countries and dependencies by population from 2017 Census numbers to an 2018 estimate, sourced from the publication Perú: Estimaciones y Proyecciones de Población Total, por Años Calendario y Edades Simples. When I challenged your edit, you might have followed the procedure described in WP:BRD, starting a talk page discussion. Instead, you reverted me, so I started the discussion, while pinging you to participate, but there has been no response. Now I ask you please to go to Talk:List of countries and dependencies by population#Peru and give your comment to my posting there. Thank you! --T*U (talk) 15:56, 19 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Colombia, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Palace of Justice (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Coat of arms of France

edit

Hello, I noticed that you uploaded File:COAT_FR.svg and have replaced some instances of the file File:Arms of the French Republic.svg with your version. Is there a reason for this?

There is no need to match the colour of the flag as there is no specified shade of blue for the coat of arms (it's unofficial). Even if you want this colour, I suggest you clean up the file as currently its details are very messy; you can even see gaps in between the shading shapes.

I will be re-replacing the old files mainly because of the quality, but feel free to discuss and revert them back if I have misunderstood. Alisperic (talk) 12:23, 19 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
