Request reason:

Well, then CheckUser me. Please - checkuser me. I am not, nor have I ever been involved in any sort of SockPuppetry. I have no history of abuse. What are we talking about, communism? It's not hard to understand. I don't know about the other users implicated, but I didn't know Stephen Somerville was such a taboo topic. I just picked the first article on tvwiki that wasn't on Wikipedia, and added it. Ignoble, perhaps - but not malicious. To be banned infinitely, without warning for this is just insane. I wasn't a bad person before, but honestly, I think this community is changing my mind about wanting to help. Who would want to help a bunch of crazy, power-obsessed exclusive people like these? I looked at the edit log for Stephen Somerville. It was last deleted 3 YEARS ago. There's no possible way I could be involved in whatever it was that made you ban them.

Decline reason:

Per everyone else below. I find it highly improbable that you would just "happen" to select an article that has been created under three different titles and speedied each time, and only edited by three other users who happen to be the same person. You probably need to find something else to do with your time, because you're done editing Wikipedia.— Blueboy96 13:53, 19 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

Please read this, and give my case the attention it deserves. I'll be brief. I am an aspiring member of Wikipedia. Among other constructive edits, I copied an article from: http://www.tvwiki.tv/wiki/Stephen_Somerville into Wikipedia. Apparently, this was a faux pas, and I have been designated a 'sock-puppet.' I haven't made any attempt to hurt Wikipedia. I wasn't notified why I was blocked until recently, hence all my requests. I'd just give up at this point, and start again, but I can't seem to make a new account.

Decline reason:

I find it hard to believe that three separate people would copy the same page, especially given that the page had only been accessed 4 times. I agree that you are probably a sockpuppet. עוד מישהו Od Mishehu 09:10, 19 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

I copied that text from http://www.tvwiki.tv/wiki/Stephen_Somerville. Tvwiki looked like another 'free information' type of website, so I thought I could use it here as my first article. I have no connection to those people who I am a supposed sock-puppet of, or anyone else for that matter. I just keep to myself, making little edits. If it is against the rules to make that article, I didn't know about it. Is there a list somewhere of articles that I'm not allowed to make? I have no idea how I could have avoided this. Thanks.

Request reason:

Well, I don't know what to say. I am not a 'sock puppet' I had to look it up to even find out what it was. I wasn't even doing anything wrong. I was just adding [who?] to weasel worded articles and I was banned, for some reason that was never even explained to me. I can't even start a new account, because now my IP is blocked. Could someone please unban me, or at least explain what I did wrong? The Wikipedia community is coming across as pretty unfriendly right now :( .

Per the comments of the blocking admin Will Beback below, it is clear that three unrelated people would not create the same obvious hoax article. You are clearly one person using multiple accounts, or are three friends colluding together on this article. Either way, the block is within policy and will stand. — Jayron32.talk.contribs 04:37, 19 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

I was made aware of the allegations after I was blocked, in this manner: edit

The accounts have all created and recreated Stephen somerville/Stephen Somerville/STEPHEN sOMERVILLE, a hoax article. ·:· Will Beback ·:· 04:27, 19 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

I don't understand why I've been blocked. If it's because of the Admin Box - sorry. I copied my userboxes from someone else an hour ago, and must have left that one. I am not a 'sock puppet'

Decline reason:

It's pretty obvious that you are indeed a sockpuppet of a banned user OhNoitsJamie Talk 02:02, 19 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
