- Alas, this is a bit of an apples-to-oranges situation — the Fresno KNSO/KGMC swap was not conducted the same way as the Entravision/Univision swaps. The Entravision/Univision swaps were literally a swap of main-channel programs, but no licenses changed hands, and the virtual channels and non-main-channel programming remained with their existing licensees. It is indeed best to stick to following the license history in those cases, particularly as the "intellectual units" for the Univision stations in Orlando and Tampa actually started on LPTV facilities before Entravision bought out what had been low-profile, further-out English-language stations — and there's no real reason why WNTO could be considered relevant to "channel 43" in Melbourne–Orlando, or WBSV-TV to "channel 50" in Tampa. (The same goes for the other English-language incarnations—and not just HSN and CityVision—that preceded Telefutura on the Univision-owned licenses; for Boston in particular, it makes little sense to lump in "V66" with "channel 27" and WSMW-TV/WHLL with "channel 66".) However, in Fresno, KNSO and KGMC essentially swapped licenses altogether — NBCUniversal traded the RF channel 11 license in Merced to Cocola in exchange for the RF channel 27 license in Clovis, but NBCUniversal retained KNSO's call sign, virtual channel number 51, and programming (and Cocola likewise kept KGMC's call sign, virtual channel 43, and programming). In a sense, it's more akin to how, in Las Vegas, KSNV essentially swapped licenses with KVMY/KHSV (albeit in that case, only one license actually changed hands, and the old KVMY main-channel programming was bumped to the subchannel of still another station). In both cases, following the history of what's attached to the virtual channel number best meets the principle of least astonishment — just in seemingly different ways. Some help needed
Hi Wcquidditch, I have been editing since 2008, but in all those years, I have never dealt with a sockpuppet case and not sure what to do. You were the last editor to open a case on Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Mikedonald711, and was hoping you would know what to do about this. The editor is still after all these years using IPs to make the same unsourced edits that often make little sense, while leaving the same type of edit summaries. There could be a problem with this because no case has been opened since July 2022, but now looking at the articles edited, it can be seen this has been ongoing since that last report. Latest IP is Special:Contributions/47.55.124.18. In the last report you mentioned an edit summary about CBXT not being a CTV station, and the latest IP editor also left an edit summary about CBXT not being a CTV station. I wasn't sure if this was something I could ask you about on your talk page, so if that's the case, I appologize, and you can just delete the message. Cmr08 (talk) 19:01, 9 April 2024 (UTC)

I'm trying to address your concern re: the KMEL article, of Feb 23. Sorry I obviously missed this. I need to make sure my email of record is correct.
In following your instructions I am notified that my IP is blocked. I've emailed stewards at Wikipedia.org to address that. Is it possible to see my edit and what the exact concern was (unreliable source). I worked as asst Chief Engineer there so I want to make sure I fully comply with your request. Thanks.
