January 2021 edit

Hello, I'm Doniago. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, List of cultural references to the September 11 attacks, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Please review WP:IPCV as well. DonIago (talk) 03:31, 20 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Image without license edit

Unspecified source/license for File:Byron Adams.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Byron Adams.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time after the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|cc-by-sa-4.0}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: Once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (TalkContribsOwner) 03:45, 6 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Byron Adams image edit

I have tagged File:Byron Adams.png as "permission pending". However, I have been unable to find any permission notice about Byron Adams in the VRT permissions queue. Let me know when the email has been sent and I'll take care of getting the image tagged properly. ~Anachronist (talk) 20:24, 16 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

@Anachronist: Thank you - the email has been sent but there is still back and forth going on between the copyright owner and VRT. Vivwest (talk) 23:32, 17 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
The permission communication was not for File:Byron Adams.png but rather for File:Composer and Musicologist Byron Adams.jpg. And the communication was in two separate VRT tickets (one of them from the photographer), which I have merged. I fixed the permission tagging on the latter image, but the former still has none. I recommend using the latter image, which is now good to go, and allow the former one to be deleted. ~Anachronist (talk) 00:14, 18 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Anachronist: Brilliant - all of your help is so greatly appreciated. Yes, File:Byron Adams.png should be deleted - is that something you can do? Am I also able to request someone (you?) remove the COI template from the Byron Adams article? Vivwest (talk) 02:54, 18 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
I am not an administrator on Commons. Best I can do is tag it for deletion and put a notification on your talk page, which starts the process. That has been done. It will be deleted eventually. ~Anachronist (talk) 05:33, 18 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Anachronist: Thank you. Do you believe the issue has been adequately addressed / resolved to where the COI template can be removed? Vivwest (talk) 01:24, 19 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
That's a different discussion. If significant portions of the article are yours, then the COI template is correctly present. An independent editor would have to go through the article carefully to ensure that the statements in it are given due weight in accordance with the reliable sources available. That isn't a small effort. I may find time for that this weekend. ~Anachronist (talk) 01:43, 19 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Anachronist: I would be honored if you would. I would love to have the article independently reviewed to confirm no bias. Vivwest (talk) 03:23, 19 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Anachronist: Thank you for helping to complete the deletion process for this image. If there is anything further required on my end for this, please advise. I would be happy to have help tagging the article here for independent review by other editors as well if it would help expedite the process - I understand if this is not something you have time for currently and I want to honor your time. I appreciate all you have done to assist with this article. Vivwest (talk) 23:30, 23 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
