Problem

edit

This edit is an error -- it added additional iwiki for Russian wiki to all articles which had CIA Template! Evgeny 23:09, 3 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

broken

edit

That twice now this bot has added {{Link FA|de}} to an article that already has it. Can you fix the logic please? Hesperian 23:34, 10 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Doing it again. Please fix the logic. GRBerry 23:14, 16 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

I'm seeing more in the contributions, in one case adding {{Link FA|de}} and {{Link_FA|de}}. I've blocked until fixed. Any admin should feel free to unblock upon either news of a fix or news that the bot will not be doing German featured articles until fixed. GRBerry 23:22, 16 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
Thankyou GRBerry. I was coming here to block this bot myself, since it just mistagged Yagan for a third time, even after I pointed out the problem. Hesperian 23:55, 16 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for notifying me. I can't disable it now, because I'm far away from my bot, but I'll try to disable it. - VasilievVV 14:13, 17 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Now unblocked, as the script has been reported disabled. GRBerry 13:02, 21 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Interwiki mistake

edit

The bot made a mistake again. Linking the Italian Descent: FreeSpace 2 page to Descent: FreeSpace &emdash; The Great War when it should have been to the FreeSpace 2 page (which already has the interwiki). Obviously the bot is scripted to only look at the title for relationship, and make the best match. Jappalang (talk) 22:35, 27 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Mistake

edit

Interwikiing articles vz. 24 with ru:vz. 24 was a mistake - whilst titles of both articles are same, russian article deals with pistol of the same designation, while vz. 24 article is about rifle vz. 24. --ja_62 (talk) 10:50, 9 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Problem at .bss

edit

Hi. I recently removed a bad interwiki link to nl:Instituut ter Bevordering van de Surinamistiek (Institute for the promotion of Surinamese) from the .bss article. However, this bot recreated that link, presumably because nl:BSS is a redirect to nl:Instituut ter Bevordering van de Surinamistiek. Could the bot be told to take more notice of the dot in ".bss", or to simply skip that particular article?

BTW, thanks for this extremely useful bot. This sort of minor nuisance is a small price to pay. Cheers, CWC 14:05, 6 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
