  If you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. Drawn Some (talk) 17:29, 15 May 2009 (UTC) Thank you. --Unclesallybone (talk) 17:37, 15 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

  Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page MC Lyte do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. - SummerPhD (talk) 00:10, 31 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

  Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Malcolm-Jamal Warner. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by some search engines, including Google. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. - SummerPhD (talk) 18:27, 3 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Do not see any reason under the external links guideline and spam guideline why the Malcolm-Jamal Warner interview link should have been removed. Please explain --Unclesallybone (talk) 21:29, 4 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

  Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, you may not know that Wikipedia has a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Using different styles throughout the encyclopedia, as you did in Xbox 360, makes it harder to read. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you.  GSK (talkevidence) 23:47, 5 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

  This is the final warning you will receive for your disruptive edits. The next time you insert a spam link, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted preventing anyone from linking to them from all Wikimedia sites as well as potentially being penalized by search engines. You have been blocked indefinitely from editing in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy because your account is being used only for spam, advertising, or promotion. If you believe this block is unjustified you may contest this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. Request reason:

I don't understand why I'm being blocked. I am placing relevant links on Wikipedia. It is not promotion, rather actual interviews that positively contribute to the free encyclopedia. Please explain the reasoning behind my being blocked

Decline reason:

You are blocked because your reason for joining Wikipedia appears to be, not making the encyclopedia better, but promoting a specific web site. We can tell because most of your edits involve adding links to that web site to Wikipedia. If this web site really is the best source of reliable information on a subject, others will undoubtedly discover it, but since you don't appear to have anything else to add to Wikipedia, there is no reason for you to have an active account at this time. If you ever become interested in helping to write the encyclopedia, please feel free to let us know. FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 18:35, 6 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

What is your connection with stopbeingfamous.com? --jpgordon::==( o ) 16:52, 6 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

{{unblock|The decline decision seems fair. I am intern for StopBeingFamous.com. I believed the articles to be relevant. I'll wait for someone who is Wikipedia contributor to discover the articles. thanks.}}

Your request to be unblocked has been granted for the following reason(s):

Agreed to add no more links to StopBeingFamous. Further transgressions will lead to another block.

Unblocking administrator: Please check for active autoblocks on this user after accepting the unblock request.

You can be unblocked if you just want to edit Wikipedia on your own; anything other than inserting those links would be fine. --jpgordon::==( o ) 03:28, 7 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
The privilege of editing Wikipedia on my own would be great. No more links to StopBeingFamous
