  Hello, I'm Peaceray. I noticed that you recently removed content from Lingam without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. You removed cited material without a clear explanation. Please consider the WP:Verifiability not truth essay, which states in a nut graph that Editors may not add content solely because they believe it is true, nor delete content they believe to be untrue, unless they have verified beforehand with a reliable source. As WP:BRD suggests, please discuss your proposed removal of cited material on the talk page & get consensus before attempting it again. Peaceray (talk) 15:49, 6 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

  Please do not attack other editors, as you did at Talk:Lingam. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. Peaceray (talk) 15:50, 6 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

  Please stop your disruptive editing.

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Lingam, you may be blocked from editing. Joshua Jonathan - Let's talk! 06:20, 7 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Noone attacking the other editors. We need to evaluate the content of controversial scholars which has outdated authencity and not recognize in traditional scholars circle. We need to discuss dispute content before publishing it. Hope to agree to that part. Truth Seeker Alway (talk) 14:22, 7 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Truth Seeker Alway, please explain how Don't act like the typical white colonial supremacist, which was part of a comment you inserted here, should not be considered as a personal attack. Peaceray (talk) 18:28, 7 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
I didn't state that he is white colonial supremacist but he acted consciously or subconsciously as white colonial supremacist. White colonial supremacist is not person attack but it's view hold by many supremacist as they think that they are one only entitled to made comment on other tradition even at cost of misreprentation of their tradition. Hope you understand that Truth Seeker Alway (talk) 10:45, 10 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hi, we put aside the controversial part of article which based on the controversial writing deviating from the traditional sources of information before any discussion. Truth Seeker Alway (talk) 14:51, 14 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Others have already pointed you to wikipedia core policies on reliable sourcing and neutral POV (see also WP:RPOV). Please stop your disruptive blanking of reliably sourced and relevant material from various article just because it doesn't mirror your personal understanding of "tradition" or you are likely to be blocked from editng on this project. Abecedare (talk) 15:05, 14 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Citation is not from the reliable sources. Can you prove that the controversial scholars opinion held in objective way. It's just fringe opinion not proof. So better address the issues instead of avoiding the question. And it's not personal understanding of tadition it's approved by all traditional scholars of all related sampradaya. If you are able to cite thing in that primary source then I am happy to accept the thing. Truth Seeker Alway (talk) 04:14, 15 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Introduction to contentious topics

edit

You have recently edited a page related to India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

  • adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
  • comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
  • follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
  • comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
  • refrain from gaming the system.

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

One more revert, and I'll request you to be blocked. Joshua Jonathan - Let's talk! 06:21, 7 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

  • @Joshua Jonathan: Since I have previously edited Lingam, I am not taking any admin action on my own; have filed a report at ANI instead.
Truth Seeker Alway, you are welcome to respond at ANI if you wish. Abecedare (talk) 06:16, 15 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
