Gender-related editing
This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.
You have shown interest in (a) GamerGate, (b) any gender-related dispute or controversy, (c) people associated with (a) or (b), all broadly construed. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.
For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.
Just making sure you have recently seen the relevant notice. Newimpartial (talk) 02:39, 4 December 2020 (UTC)
Juno (fllm)
Also, I think reasonable people can disagree with you whether it made any difference whether the actor - or the character - of Juno were actually nonbinary, either then or now, to literally anything about the film. :) Newimpartial (talk) 02:41, 4 December 2020 (UTC)
December 2020
Your recent editing history at Ted Cruz shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. You have the burden of getting consensus to make an edit to lede. You can review your attempts to put information in the article over the objections of another editor here: Diff #1
Diff #3 -- CharlesShirley (talk) 21:01, 5 December 2020 (UTC)
- @CharlesShirley: You say that as if you own the article. You started it with the undoing of a perfectly acceptable, policy appropriate edit, and I finished it. 🤷♀️ Trillfendi (talk) 21:05, 5 December 2020 (UTC)

Edit summaries
Hello, Trillfendi,
Could you be a bit more consistent with providing a summary of your edits? I came across an article you PROD'd and there was no edit summary stating that you had tagged it. You seem to leave summaries for about 50% of your edits but it would be helpful to other editors if you did explain when you did major changes like tag an article for deletion. If you go into Preferences, you can select an option that reminds you to write an edit summary when you forget to...I've found that very helpful. Thanks. Liz Read! Talk! 21:48, 10 January 2021 (UTC)
Kristen Stewart
Has Kristen herself ever said something like "my mother is Australian," or that her mother was born in Australia? In the Howard Stern interview, she says her mother was adopted in California in 1953, and indeed this is her mother's birth record from California (here). I suspect the fact that her mother spent time in Australia and apparently went to high school there (if the Australian paper is to be believed) was extrapolated a long time ago to her mother being a native Australian. All Hallow's Wraith (talk) 06:35, 12 January 2021 (UTC)
- @All Hallow's Wraith: Kristen did in fact say her mother is from Australia--even in 2 of the sources you gave the same quote is there. The Los Angeles Times interview with her mother said she is a native of Australia and moved to Hollywood at 16. It's entirely possible that upon adoption she got a birth certificate or a consular report of birth abroad with the adopted parents name on it rather than birth parents' names but that California Birth Index isn't always 100% accurate in its extrapolation and it isn't up to us as the editors to speculate. Future Vice President Kamala Harris herself is in there twice because her birth certificate had to be corrected. Now at the same time, only one of these sources out of all is reliable and it's crazy that such poor sources would be used and un-formatted for such a popular article that gets millions of views. On top of that YouTube video being a major copyright violation in multiple ways, and it cannot be used in a BLP. Trillfendi (talk) 16:54, 13 January 2021 (UTC)
- So Kristen never said that her mother was born in Australia? (not "from" Australia which is different). That is my question. As for Stewart's own words in an interview with Howard Stern, it's a reliable source no matter how specifically it's cited. All Hallow's Wraith (talk) 01:16, 14 January 2021 (UTC)
- Anyway, I'm going to leave the page as is on the Australian issue. But I suspect there is a Hilaria Baldwin situation going on here, considering Kristen says her mother was adopted in 1953 (the year of her birth) and the LA Times article says she "came to Hollywood" in 1969. Rollback granted
Hi Trillfendi. After reviewing your request, I have temporarily enabled rollback on your account until 2021-09-14. Keep in mind these things when using rollback:
- Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
- Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
- Rollback should never be used to edit war.
- If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
- Use common sense.
If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into trouble or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! Seddon talk 00:28, 14 June 2021 (UTC)
