Removing Messages

Hi, Touth. ForestH2 is generally right. This talk page is not yours, really; it is here for other editors to use to talk to you. As such, you really shouldn't remove their comments unless you're going to archive them. However, I believe the comments you removed originally, and which ForestH2 is putting back, were simply quotations of your own comments that you had placed on other talk pages (they were copied here to provide context). I don't personally have a problem with you removing those quotations, but it's really not necessary.

As for the vandalism from anonymous users, don't worry about it. If they persist, put them up at WP:AIV, or have your talk page semi-protected. However, those measures are only to be used if you can't keep up with reverting the vandalism. Otherwise, just revert the vandalism when you see it, and the rest of us will do the same if we see it here before you do. Thanks! Powers 01:31, 4 July 2006 (UTC)

You are a repeat vandal on that article. When you vandalized it, others discussed it. You can't claim that just because you don't like people discussing this that it needs to be removed. Try editing in a more civil manner and you'll see less comments that displease you. For now, the others' comments are not yours to remove, so you'll just have to get over it. -- LGagnon 01:48, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

You're doing it again

Touth, I'm very concerned. Once again you are adding articles to Lists of computer and video games that are not lists. The Legend of Zelda series article is not a list, therefore it does not belong in an article that is only for lists. Is there some part of that logic that doesn't make sense to you? Touth, why do you want The Legend of Zelda series article on that page? That page is only for lists, and that article is not a list. Why do you want it there so badly?

As for archiving: edit this page (your talk page). Select old sections (make sure to get them all) and CTRL+X (cut) them out of the page. At the top, put in a link to User_talk:Touth/Archive01. Save the page, then click on the new link. CTRL+V (paste) the old sections into the new page and save it. Done! Make sure you only cut out old sections, not recent ones, and be sure to get an entire section (don't just take some of the comments from a particular section, take all of them). I mean, edit your talk page (this page). You will see a BIG text box where you can type text, and it includes all of the text currently on your talk page. Use your mouse or keyboard to select the text you want to archive and use CTRL+X to cut the text out of this page. Add a link to User talk:Touth/Archive01 at the top in place of the removed text. This is not a new username, it's a subpage of your talk page. Then edit that file (User talk:Touth/Archive01) and CTRL+V paste the removed text into that new article. Lists of computer games again

Touth, we have been over this many many times. Please, just tell me which parts of the following statements you don't understand. The article Lists of video games and computer games is an article that ONLY EXISTS to collect OTHER ARTICLES. If something is NOT AN ARTICLE, it does not belong in Lists of video games and computer games. The links you added to Lists of video games and computer games, List of Mortal Kombat games and List of Pac-Man games, are NOT ARTICLES. They are redlinks and their articles do not exist. Why did you add them, and why are you so desparate to keep them there that you beg other editors not to remove them?

I'm also concerned about this edit: [1]. Why did you re-add that paragraph that clearly doesn't belong? Furthermore, your edit summary for that edit is EXTREMELY similar to the edit summaries being used by User:81.129.233.182 to add the same text. Is 81.129.233.182 your IP address?

Hi Touth. If you want the article to be created, either create it yourself, or post a request here: Wikipedia:WikiProject Computer and video games/Requests. Strewing redlinks around is not the best way to get an article created (even if it worked once before).

Now then, about your edit to List of video games considered the worst ever. If you click this link: [2], you will see an edit made by you that reinserts the offending text ("also known as GAYlo 2", etc.) with an edit summary "HAHAHAAAAA.... I wish i could stop laughing. (*still carries on laughing*)". This edit summary is very much in the same vein as the IP's edit summaries. Do you deny that you made this edit? Powers 21:54, 1 August 2006 (UTC)

I understand. However, you must admit that it looks extremely suspicious. It's very odd to my eyes, and those of others, that you would both a) revert to the wrong version in the history and b) screw up the edit summary in such a way that matches the style and grammar of the vandal. Also, considering the IP made this edit to LGagnon's talk page, a user with whom you've had disagreements in the past... well you can understand the problem, right? Powers 22:34, 1 August 2006 (UTC)

Re: Userboxes

Hi, Touth. The way to get the userboxes in a single column is to use a table. I just copied the format for mine from another location, so I copied my format to your page for you. Deletions

I deleted the Pac-man request because it was AfD'd. If someone creates a stub list to make the article, it is a candidate for speedy deletion, which means that probably witin the hour of it bein created, it'l be gone again. I deleted the mortal combat one to be consistant. Honestly, I don't have a problem with either list, as long as it's an actual article that gets made. I recommend that if you "want these to exist", that you just go and create them. You don't need someone else to do it. --PresN 17:52, 5 August 2006 (UTC)

hello jackSparrow, an anonymous user wants these two games which are South Park Rally and Robocop added to the list of worst games ever, to be honest i would love to dicuss those games for him or her but the problem is that i just dont have them games. if he or she desperately wants them there, what can i do? many thanks. Hello Touth. It is not about having played the games yourself, because that would make it Original Research. History of Mario

In regards to your question, I reverted your edit because the sentence involved states that Mario has been Nintendo's mascot for over 25 years. If the sentence did not have the word 'over' in it, then it would have been okay, I suppose. One can't just assume that the original Donkey Kong arcade game debuted in early 1981 though, since apparently the exact release date is relatively unknown (even its Wikipedia article doesn't say). - DisasterKirby 01:08, 6 April 2007 (UTC)

Did you even read the article? Check the end of the seventh paragraph (second paragraph next to the promotional flier); it clearly states that the game officially went on sale in July 1981. - DisasterKirby 01:46, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
