Bohuslav Sobotka

edit

Please, Bohuslav Sobotka was not (for now) premier - designate, but was ONlY assigned to conduct government-forming talks, see http://www.ceskenoviny.cz/news/zpravy/zeman-assigns-czech-cssd-head-to-lead-government-forming-talks/1010969. --Yopie (talk) 20:20, 23 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Please slow down

edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please slow down when rolling through a whole bunch of edits that may be contentious. For example, Pearson's name used in all official circumstances was "Lester B." his friends and family may have called him "Mike" as a nickname, but we and Wikipedia do not fall into the "friends and fmaily" category. I have reverted those edits. Also, you seem to be changing the PM infoboxes without any prior discussion. I think this could upset a bunch of people. For exmaple, you have changed the date format in some instances from "January 6, 2014", which is the most commonly used format in Canadian English, to "6 January 2014", which is more commoly used in Europe. This change is not supported by WP:ENGVAR, so please don't do it. You should propose changes like these on talk pages and get consensus before spending a while lot of time doing edits that will be reverted. Ground Zero | t 22:44, 6 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

  Thank you for your contributions. Please mark your edits as "minor" only if they are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". Thank you. 117Avenue (talk) 03:42, 29 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Sherry Wilson, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Intervale (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Ross Wetmore

edit

Hi there, as a general rule, if an article has evolved using predominantly one date format, the dates should be left in the format they were originally written in, unless there are reasons for changing it based on strong national ties to the topic. Can you please take a moment and explain why they should be changed in the Ross Wetmore article? I have explained my edits, but you seem to be ignoring me by reverting without even as much as an edit summary. There may be a very good reason for your changes, but unless you explain, how do other editors know the reason behind them? Cmr08 (talk) 05:05, 16 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

  Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed your recent edit to Gordon Campbell does not have an edit summary. Please provide one before saving your changes to an article, as the summaries are quite helpful to people browsing an article's history.

The edit summary appears in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. Thanks! 117Avenue (talk) 04:25, 10 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

  Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Angus Lewis Macdonald. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been reverted or removed.

  • If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor then please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.
  • If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive, until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively could result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. 117Avenue (talk) 02:39, 27 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Your edits to the article "Satini Manuella"

edit

Hi. We cannot have unsourced material in a Wikipedia article, as is the case with the date and place of birth of Satini Manuella MP, his spouse and his religion. Therefore there are three possibilities:

  • if you have verifiable sources for those elements, please include them;
  • or we can remove those elements altogether;
  • or we put in a "citation needed" tag for each of them.

Do you have a source for the information? Regards, Aridd (talk) 09:18, 7 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

Alberta New Democratic Party

edit

I see you are making edits to Alberta New Democratic Party. There's a very good chance that your edits are entirely correct! But, please note your explanation on the article's talk page. It probably won't take more than a moment to explain, and again, it's very likely you are correct. --Yamla (talk) 22:21, 31 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

Your edits to Brian Jean and Heather Forsyth have been reverted. The May 5th date is wrong; Brian Jean hadn't been sworn in as of May 15th (see [1]). Please refrain from making any further uncited changes to these articles. --Yamla (talk) 13:22, 7 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

edit

Please do not add any information about Lars Løkke Rasmussens 2015 term as prime minister, as the government has not yet been formed and we don't do predictions in Wikipedia. Thanks. --Saddhiyama (talk) 20:59, 19 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Your edits in the Cabinet of Tuvalu

edit

I cannot understand your edits:

  1. The same link should not be linked repeatedly, only on its first occurrence, and especially not with different text each time.
  2. If you want to keep them, I request you to create the respective articles. Similar to What is being done for France (Government_of_France#Current_government) or Germany (Cabinet_of_Germany#Present_German_cabinet). I.e. each and every ministry of Tuvalu should get a page by its own.

Wouldn't this make way more sense, and be much less misleading? --Saippuakauppias 23:32, 3 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
