Allen Walker edit

Well, it's in a very good shape. Right now, it's missing a source in the reception, though. It would probably be good to go through the article and see if something is not clear on its prose. And maybe the "appearances" could be trimmed a bit, though I don't know the series a lot to say it is large or not. With the release of a new anime series it will probably receive new coverage too so it will be up to you to keep it updated. Regards, Gabriel Yuji (talk) 23:33, 18 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

Your recent WP:AIV post edit

Re your recent WP:AIV report [1]: It's important to reserve WP:AIV for only blatant and repeated vandalism reports. Your report said "Warned a lot. Last edit of him was this..." I agree that their last edit was vandalism, but the first thing an admin will do is look at the editor's contributions and talk page discussion, where they will see that their second most recent edit is from December 2015, and the most recent warning is from May 2013. Essentially, we have one edit this year, with no follow-up warnings. No admin is going to do anything about that, so it's a waste of everybody's time.

Admins are volunteers who decide where they'll put their efforts. It's important to reserve WP:AIV for obvious cases, so admins don't start to ignore it as a swamp of false reports. I know it's frustrating to see vandalism, and I appreciate your efforts to prevent it, but please make sure you've got a reasonable case, so that the notice board is kept clear for cases where an admin doesn't have to investigate or think too much about what to do. The easier their job is there, the more they'll keep coming back. Thanks for hearing me out. Willondon (talk) 01:27, 9 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

The fact was ... that the D.Gray-man character Yu Kanda was taken from an unpublished manga written by the same author? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Yu Kanda. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Yu Kanda), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Original director of FFXV edit

I know Nomura's not the director now, but he was the director of Final Fantasy XV not just Versus XIII. He was still director when the game was re-announced as Final Fantasy XV at E3 2013 and kept the position until December 2013 when Tabata took over. So he is the original director of XV. I definitely think this should be a credit for him like it is for Matsuno and FFXII. Bamboo's review on Psycho-Pass edit

Just dropping you a courtesy note that I restore the negative quote from Bamboo Dong's review of Psycho-Pass with the addition of two positive quotes, since she was overall positive on the series. Whoever added Bamboo Dong's review only pulled one of the most negative thing she said and thus misrepresent her entire review. Also, don't give much credibility to 74.135.126.89 (talk) claims that she was "ousted". ANN posted another review from Bamboo yesterday and they have not removed any of her previous reviews from their website. It could be that the IP has a grudge against her. —Farix (t | c) 21:27, 24 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

Allen Walker image edit

I was going through the images, and based on what's in the article, what actually to me seems best is, basically, a better crop of the image that already exists? Originally, I took that crop from the cover of the Viz Media version (see here) so I had to crop it high, and the same thing happens with the original Japanese version (see here). However, Noche has a "clean" version, that would let me crop the image lower, so that his clothing can be seen. I just wanted to run it by you before uploading. And, as usual, I'm deeply sorry I haven't been much more help here. >.< You seem to have everything well in hand by the time I find the time to look at the comments left on the FAC. ~Cheers, TenTonParasol 13:42, 11 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

Date of Psycho-Pass 1 edit

you've edited the date of psycho-pass from 2113 to not being shown, i was the one changing it from 2112 to 2113 and i did that because the first episode happens on the 4'th november of 2113. i know this because in episode 1 we see that Nobuo Okura was born the 20'th of april 2073 and is 39 years old, 2073+39=2113 so it's from 20/4/2113 to 19/4/2114 on that date. In episode 2 we see in the morning scene in Akane's home that it's the 5'th of november and as it's 1 day after the first episode and we know the year we can be in from Nobuo's age it must have started on the 4'th of november 2113.

(First time editing something in a wiki so not sure if this is the right place to write this)

The Concrete Herald edit

Hi Tintor2! Thank you for reviewing The Concrete Herald! I'm sorry, I'm not sure I'll be a good reviewer of Tidus. I have a lot of interests, but neither anime, nor video games are among them, so I'm not sure how such articles are written or should be written. Perhaps I can be of some other assistance? 凰兰时罗 (talk) 17:17, 4 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

No problem @凰兰时罗:. However, your lack of knowledge about the character can also be helpful; could you check at least the "In Final Fantasy X" section and see if you are able to understand it? It could be useful to see which parts I have to rewrite. Regards.Tintor2 (talk) 17:56, 4 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

I read the full article. Great job! I only have a few minor comments below.

  1. To your question on Final Fantasy X section: Yes, I could understand its structure, albeit most of the objects you refer to are completely unfamiliar :).
  2. I personally believe that encyclopedia style calls for shorter sentences, so I'd break up a few of your longer sentences into pieces. For example, a semicolon is red flag — might want to drop in favor of two separate sentences.
    • Some sentences need additional work. (e.g. Nomura has expressed after designing serious and moody main characters for Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VIII, he wanted to give Tidus a cheerful attitude and appearance (while still keeping the recent trend of giving him a name related to the sky), which is reflected in the name Kazushige Nojima chose for him (Tiida is the Okinawan word for "Sun"))
      • In some cases, shortening should be easy ("revealing his thoughts on certain aspects of his journey" → ""revealing his thoughts on his journey")
    • I wouldn't drop 'that' as often as you do, as it's needed for clarity (e.g. "Inside Zanarkand, the group learns [that] Yuna must choose one of her guardians to become her fayth for the Final Summoning.")
  3. My final point brings us back to The Concrete Herald. You mentioned that I should "avoid unsourced statements like...". Indeed, you correctly zeroed in on the only spot without inline citations. In that particular case, the information can be easily retrieved from any issue of Herald. Interestingly, you seem to do the same thing throughout your article (e.g. "However, after the credits, Tidus is seen awakening under the sea." — this unsourced statement is derived from the game itself, correct?) Any more thoughts on this?

Do you want me to post this in the peer review page? 凰兰时罗 (talk) 21:31, 4 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

Thanks. The underwater scene has no dialogue and not in context during the game so I found nothing to reference that.Tintor2 (talk) 23:10, 4 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
Yes, that's exactly my point. So is the assumption that this is okay in both cases? (See, I'm knew to enwiki, and sometimes policies aren't very clear. Is your understanding that in such cases inline citations can be omitted (both in Tidus and Herald)? 凰兰时罗 (talk) 23:13, 4 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
I'm not sure about that but the underwater scene is shown again in FFX-2 during its ending.Tintor2 (talk) 23:27, 4 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

Thank you either way and hope you are having a wonderful start to your year! Aoba47 (talk) 22:16, 16 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

s-CRY-ed edit

Hello:

The copy edit that you requested from the Guild of Copy Editors of the article S-CRY-ed has been completed.

Since the DVD cover clearly shows the title as s-CRY-ed, I think this is the way the title should appear in the article even if it begins a sentence.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Regards,

However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Peer review edit

Hi just wanted you to know I looked over your article but I don't really have any suggestions for improvement at this point so I'm not sure if there's anything of value that I could add. Only thing I'll suggest is in terms of images they tend to crack down on fair use images so IDK if you should add more but 'free' ones should be fine.--CyberGhostface (talk) 05:07, 1 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

Maybe images of people involved with the comic but I don't know how many are available. If you can't find any it's probably not a big deal, a number of FAs only have a few pics.--CyberGhostface (talk) 04:51, 2 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

Yuri on Ice 2016 characters edit

Hi there. The closest I've been able to find is this screenshot of the original article, but as it was posted on Tumblr I'm not sure if it counts as a reliable source. Do you know if it counts? Also, do you know what counts as non-official sources that DragonZero refers to? ISD (talk) 15:39, 2 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

That's OK. Glad to help you out as well. ISD (talk) 16:00, 2 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

DYK for D.Gray-man edit

On 7 February 2017, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article D.Gray-man, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the character Komui Lee in the manga series D.Gray-man is based on the author's boss? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/D.Gray-man. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, D.Gray-man), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

I've nominated the article about the episode Eve Russell for Featured Article consideration. I would really appreciate any comments or feedback on this nomination or if you could help me by providing a source review as you have done on my previous nomination Russell family (Passions). I understand that you are busy so it is completely okay if you are unable to do this. I apologize for any inconvenience.

List of Naruto print media edit

Could you give advice on how I can improve the list mentioned above? MCMLXXXIX 14:27, 28 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

@1989: I would suggest using List of Kingdom Hearts media as an example. Every book in that article is in a table and has about what is inside.Tintor2 (talk) 15:26, 28 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

@1989: By the way, I've just recently nominated D.Gray-man to FA in Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/D.Gray-man/archive1. If you could comment to find issues and support when fixed, I would appreciate it.Tintor2 (talk) 15:47, 28 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

@1989: Not even Amazon? Still, ANN seems to have reviews for at least the second one.Tintor2 (talk) 01:17, 2 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

No. OVAs are not sold separately, so it's unlikely to show up on Amazon, and the release date on ANN doesn't match the one on the wikitable. The table may have been copied from Wikia originally (I copied the ones from the list episodes), as theirs is not cited either. Should I just remove the ones I can't find instead of removing the whole thing? I may have to also remove the Japanese release dates as well. MCMLXXXIX 04:41, 2 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

@1989: I guess remove them. I think the third OVAs is just tied in with Ultimate Ninja 3's adventure mode though.Tintor2 (talk) 11:40, 2 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

  • I was able to find sources, but not for the English ones, so I removed the english section. MCMLXXXIX 15:06, 2 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

Question edit

Did you ever have to use scholarly literature for Allen Walker? I may need a little help. MCMLXXXIX 04:13, 3 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

The IP I referenced (if you clicked the link) opposed the Naruto Uzumaki article for FA because they feel like it doesn't have enough "scholar" or whatever information. MCMLXXXIX 10:55, 3 March 2017 (UTC)Reply
  • In your source review on Naruto Uzumaki, the coordinator claimed that you didn't check for reliability and formatting. Would you be able to do that? MCMLXXXIX 22:36, 20 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hi Tintor- I just wanted to leave a quick note about redlinks. Our relevant guideline (WP:REDLINK) not only permits but encourages appropriate redlinks, whether in new stubs or featured articles. I'm personally worried about the number of very capable good-faith editors who just assume that redlinks are bad, and so it's one of the things I've devoted my time to trying to help; you may be interested in my Signpost article on the topic. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited D.Gray-man, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Horror. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
