Shield Volcano

I have removed a portion of information on the Topic of Shield Volcano (Iceland paragraph)...because the explanatory link no longer works, and also because the information is not supported by scientific and geological survey. It was not a mistake that I removed it. However I should have explained myself before doing so. Thank you for your understanding and wikipedia is and should be kept as the beautiful source of accurate information that it is today. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.119.111.22 (talk) 16:43, 2 March 2014 (UTC)

You and I agree on that.  :) — This lousy T-shirt — (talk) 16:48, 2 March 2014 (UTC)

I think that portion of the article should be removed, yet it is you and other admins that have the final decision. Therefore it is your call :) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.119.111.22 (talk) 16:52, 2 March 2014 (UTC)

I'm not an admin yet, just a hopeful. But I say go on and be bold in your editing! — This lousy T-shirt — (talk) 17:02, 2 March 2014 (UTC)

Thank you Sir. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.119.111.22 (talk) 17:06, 2 March 2014 (UTC)

You're welcome!  :) — This lousy T-shirt — (talk) 17:08, 2 March 2014 (UTC)

I tried to remove it again, but again it was reverted. I think I'll give up 'cause someone really wants that broken link piece of information... well what can one man do? :( 79.119.111.22 (talk) 17:15, 2 March 2014 (UTC)

You could try explaining your actions to the editor who reverted you, on their talk page, as you did here, and see what they have to say. — This lousy T-shirt — (talk) 17:21, 2 March 2014 (UTC)

That seems to have done the trick. They no longer reverted it :) 79.119.111.22 (talk) 17:46, 2 March 2014 (UTC)

Editing Lenox Hill Hospital's page

Hi, I am new to Wikipedia editing, so I apologize if any of my actions raised red flags. I work in the PR office of Lenox Hill Hospital and was asked to correct some inaccuracies on the hospital's Wikipedia page, such as the name of the executive director and update outdated information, such as the logo, photo, and hospital rank to current ones. The only changes I wanted to make are factual ones that can be easily verified. Please let me know if this is permissible.

Hi there! Your edits actually seem fine; it's only your username which may be problematic for you. What I recommend is you create a new account for yourself, using an original name of your choice, and edit from that account instead.  :) — This lousy T-shirt — (talk) 21:36, 5 March 2014 (UTC)

Thanks and a question

Hello, thanks for saying "hi" a few days ago. It's nice to feel welcome. Since you're the first wikipedian with whom I've made official contact, I was wondering if I could ask you a quick question? I finally started up an account to get to work on the Dora Marsden article, as it's in start-class shape, and a rough one at that I think, and I've done a fairly substantial amount of research into her. My question is this: how do I request that the article be flagged as part of a particular project? If I'm reading the talk page right, it's part of the women's history, philosophy, and anarchism projects--all of which is fine--by I'm a literature academic, and a lot of ink is being spilled about her these days in the English academy (the discipline, not the country) because of her importance to literary modernism. To my mind, that's where her significance lies; she's low importance to women's history and philosophy, and low-to-mid for anarchism, but she's mid-to-high for 20th century literature. Anyway, I hope to have it looking pretty spiffy in a month or two, and I'd like to submit it for review at that point, but I think it's more relevant to the interests of literature specialists than folks working on philosophy and social history. I wasn't sure what forum was appropriate for making a case for this to someone(s). Sorry to be a bother, and thanks again for the welcome.Bercreaup (talk) 21:02, 6 March 2014 (UTC)

Hello, Bercreaup, and thank you for your message! I would advise leaving a message on Talk:Dora Marsden saying exactly what you just said to me. There doesn't seem to be a WikiProject currently perfectly suited to her, one for 20th century literature, but it might be possible to start one! — This lousy T-shirt — (talk) 21:20, 6 March 2014 (UTC)

COI or not

I am volunteering in a school in Costa Rica and have created an article about the school, because no one else did it before. Is that an COI in your opinion or not? Maybe you can review my article about Guanacaste Waldorf School and tell, if it is neutral enough for Wikipedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gwscr (talkcontribs) 19:31, 7 March 2014 (UTC)

It needs a few tweaks to make it neutral, which I'll gladly help you with, but the basic article is well-written. As for a COI, don't worry, there isn't one because you're editing as a volunteer, not claiming to actually be the school or their administration.  :) — This lousy T-shirt — (talk) 21:00, 7 March 2014 (UTC)
Thanks a lot for your fixes!!! Now it's ready to be translated into Spanish ;) --Gwscr (talk) 14:28, 10 March 2014 (UTC)

Problem With An Addition Which Should Not Have Been A PROBLEM!

Hello, "This lousy T-shirt",

I was making a simple addition to the Wikipedia page, "Stephen Douglas Johnson". Specifically, I was adding the following: http://www.en.inforapid.org/index.php?search=Stephen Douglas%20Johnson. There is such a page when one keyboards the foregoing into the address bar of one's browser. Yet, when it is added to the Wikipedia page for Stephen Douglas Johnson, something else appears--for instance, "Stephen", "Afghanistan", or something else--even though there is a full page for the subject. How can this be corrected? Or can you possibly do it for me? All help will be welcome.

Thank you!

Deut20Rev4 Deut20Rev4 (talk) 00:32, 11 March 2014 (UTC) P.S. When I hit the "Save Page" and scrolled through the result, I saw that even on your page only http://www.en.inforapid.org/index.php?search=Stephen comes up blue whereas the Douglas%20Johnson does not while the whole thing comes up blue when I type it into the address bar of my browser--hopefully, you will now see the problem. Thank you again. Deut20Rev4Deut20Rev4 (talk) 00:41, 11 March 2014 (UTC)

Good news: I fixed it!  :) — This lousy T-shirt — (talk) 18:10, 11 March 2014 (UTC)

Help!

As a Veteran Editor, I should probably know, but I need help creating a signature for myself and also help designing my userpage. Is there a list of knowledgable volunteers who offer their assistance upon request? Or should I just approach someone whose signature/userpage I like and say, "I really like your signature/userpage; how did you create it; do you mind if I model mine after yours?" — This lousy T-shirt — (talk) 13:16, 12 March 2014 (UTC)

There's nothing wrong with nicking other people's ideas on here, so asking someone who's userpage/sig you like is a pretty good idea. That said, you could also try the design centre (most of the stuff on there is rather ugly, IMHO, but what do I know?) Signature formatting is pretty straightforward (see WP:CUSTOMSIG for the rules), but if you have something specific in mind and can't work out how to format it, I'm happy to lend a hand; just let me know. Ways to improve Hometaurus Real Estate Market

Hi, I'm Carriearchdale. This lousy T-shirt, thanks for creating Hometaurus Real Estate Market!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Perhaps you could choose some appropriate categories near the bottom of the article to help improve the overall article and make the article more easily searchable by wikipedia users. Thanks!

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse. Carriearchdale (talk) 20:04, 13 March 2014 (UTC)

This is a surprise to me, because that page was originally created when I welcomed a new editor to Wikipedia!
https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Hometaurus_Real_Estate_Market&oldid=598016022
They seem to have turned it into an article on their talk page and moved it into the main space afterwards. Nevertheless, I can't resist the challenge of trying to improve the article with some cats and a bit of copy editing.  :) — This lousy T-shirt — (talk) 20:24, 13 March 2014 (UTC)

Ok, well then that's sort of odd. I will keep an eye on the article, and help to copyedit it. I did a bit earlier, but I will have a good look at it tonight, so I can take off the copyedit message. I am glad to help. Just let me know if you have any questions. (I like your wiki name!)

cheers!

what make it to not be constructive — Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.174.186.163 (talk) 21:01, 14 March 2014 (UTC)

Assuming you're serious, here's what made your edits to Prince Michael Jackson I unconstructive. Firstly, you typed (PRINCE) in all caps and parentheses, the equivalent of shouting. Secondly, contrary to the guidelines given in the Manual of Style (see WP:MoS), you removed the spacing between an image and the text of the article. Thirdly, you added a link, which would have been helpful and relevant if you had put it in the proper place using the proper format. Finally, after you were reverted, you blanked a huge portion of the article, which is why another editor reverted you. Hopefully, this answers your question. Peace!  :) — This lousy T-shirt — (talk) 21:18, 14 March 2014 (UTC)

Edits to Redfin page

Hey there,

Would you mind explaining why you reverted the edits I made to the Redfin page? I spent over two hours adding additional information and identifying parts of the page that were inaccurate or out-of-date.

Thanks.

About Haemoglobin

hi, I don't think that I have made a mistake. because I have studied a lot about blood. Hemoglobin is made of Heam and Globin. Globin is a protein. Heam is the pigment combined with the protin (globin) in hemoglobin. You can search in dictionaries or other websites or medical books. I'm sure you will find it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Joy Einstein (talkcontribs) 14:20, 3 March 2015 (UTC)

Article needs it's title changed, but I don't see how to change the title. March 31, 2015

Hello This lousy T-shirt ,

The article on the South Korean singer 'Kim Greem' is incorrectly titled 'Kim Geu-rim'. It appears that this was a mistranslation from the original Korean Wikipedia article. The article that needs it's title corrected is here:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kim_Geu-rim

Her stage name is 'Kim Greem', the title of the article should reflect that, and not her personal name. Could you please change it, or pass it to someone that can change it? Thank you in advance!

For verification, a simple Google image search on 'Kim Greem' will display a variety of her album covers. They all spell her name as Kim Greem, even on her official Korean album releases.
