Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire (American game show), but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Materialscientist (talk) 14:03, 15 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited HLN (TV network), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Thomas Roberts. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:02, 3 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Jill Wagner, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use your sandbox for that. Please do not remove validly sourced content, and replace it with unsourced content, especially at a WP:BLP. Thank you. --IJBall (contribstalk) 01:49, 17 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Age templates

edit

Please don't change the birth date templates for missing persons. Articles do not contain conjecture or supposition, they should only include what is verified to be true. In missing persons cases, the age at disappearance is what is included in the infobox, not the age the person would be if they were still alive. -- Ponyobons mots 20:09, 17 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Also, I assume you're the IP who has been making these changes logged-out as well, so please be aware of WP:SOCK.-- Ponyobons mots 20:19, 17 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

I would like to learn more about why this article is being considered for deletion. This is the only article I've created where I have had this issue. I think the fact that Zoltowski disappeared while on vacation in what appears to be a hiking trip gone wrong seems notable (at least to some degree) plus there was a reported sighting of him in Hawaii in 2001 which is also an important fact.   Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from one or more pages into another page. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. livelikemusic (TALK!) 15:47, 13 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Jack Rader (actor)

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Jack Rader (actor) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. You are welcome to import appropriate public domain content to articles, but in order to meet the Wikipedia guideline on plagiarism, such content must be fully attributed. This requires not only acknowledging the source, but acknowledging that the source is copied. There are several methods to do this described at Wikipedia:Plagiarism#Public-domain sources, including the usage of an attribution template. Please make sure that any public domain content you have already imported is fully attributed. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 14:13, 4 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
