Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Bhimkund, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Mace (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Concern regarding Draft:Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK)

edit

  Hello, Telugujoshi. I just wanted to let you know that Draft:Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), a page you created, has not been edited in at least 5 months. Draft space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for article space.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion under CSD G13. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it. You may request userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available here.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia. Bot0612 (talk) 16:01, 1 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Your draft article, Draft:Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK)

edit

Hello, Telugujoshi. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Pakistan-occupied Kashmir".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. DannyS712 (talk) 08:18, 6 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

Introduction to contentious topics

edit

You have recently edited a page related to India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

  • adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
  • comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
  • follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
  • comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
  • refrain from gaming the system.

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

  Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contribution(s). However, as a general rule, while user talk pages permit a small degree of generalisation, other talk pages such as Talk:Asian News International are strictly for discussing improvements to their associated main pages, and many of them have special instructions on the top. They are not a general discussion forum about the article's topic or any other topic. If you have questions or ideas and are not sure where to post them, consider asking at the Teahouse. Thanks. Ratnahastin (talk) 00:53, 11 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

To be fair, there's a fair amount of NOTFORUM on that page. My suggestion is that everyone should constrain edits to specifically improving the content on the ANI page. There's other venues for more expansive discussions, perhaps on User_talk:Jimbo_Wales#News_from_India, where Jimbo has indicated that he's watching the case. Ravensfire (talk) 01:40, 11 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Ravensfire who is Jimbo Wales and what his claim to fame? Telugujoshi (talk) 02:22, 11 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
Might want to look at his user page. Ravensfire (talk) 02:36, 11 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
Thanks. I am looking at it. So he went to a private school which charges USD 22K per annum and left PhD midstream. Financial engineering critter who lives in London. His claim of co-founding Wikipedia is contested.
All good. I am impressed. Telugujoshi (talk) 01:11, 12 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Ratnahastin thanks for the teahouse link. I didn't know. Telugujoshi (talk) 02:21, 11 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

  Please do not attack other editors, as you did at User talk:Jimbo Wales. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. ~~ AirshipJungleman29 (talk) 13:25, 12 September 2024 (UTC)   There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. I made my point. I detest political bickering and virtue signalling. I am not contesting the block. In anycase, I am not a big contributor. That said, I do not wish Wikipedia project to fail. I will keep doing what I do best, i.e. independent R&D in Numerical Analysis. I will keep using Wikipedia as a reference. Wish you all the very best. Khudā Hāfiz. If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
