Travis's first message

edit

Hi Travis (I am assuming this is Travis): Glad to see my teaching in HIST 235 didn't dissuade you from taking another course from me. Yes, you did successfully leave me a message. A tip for today: if you want to start a new subject / new thread on someone's talk page, you should do so by setting it off with a separate heading, as I have done above. I used two equal signs. That gave me a new heading. See you Thursday! --Greentina (talk) 23:44, 24 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

WAC Bennett Group: Intro is up in Norma's Sandbox

edit

Hey Travis

I put the intro in my sandbox. Please edit away until Monday, March 12th at 5pm - it will go live by Monday night around 9 and I want to have a few hours for finishing touches and to do the citation, bold, links, all that stuff. Sound ok?

Normaromann (talk) 23:34, 10 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hey Travis

I can't seem to find your sandbox (or more, it seems to be nonexistent? what am I doing wrong) to have a look at your section -I'm sure it's great but if you'd like me to have a peak, could you send me the link? Normaromann (talk) 22:07, 25 March 2012 (UTC I just realized you said Monday in the email, not Sunday..nevermind!!I'll look at it tomorrow! Normaromann (talk) 22:10, 25 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

In response to your questions

edit

I don't think that we get another grade for the outline at this point in time, but that would be a good question for Tina. Unfortunately I won't be adding my sentences till later on tomorrow or Wednesday. I'm not sure adding the sentences is mandatory at this stage, only suggessted? That is perhaps a good question for Stephen. I did read the comment, and left what I thought about it is in Norma's sandbox, she did such an excellent job with the intro, it's online now! And I haven't figured out a way to group message yet. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Heatheralyse (talkcontribs) 05:38, 13 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Set up a sandbox please

edit

Hi there, You need to set up your sandbox and then do the drafts of your section of the article in your sandbox rather than your Talk page. If you don't know how to do this, let me know and I will help, but there may be others on your Team who know how to do this too. --Greentina (talk) 03:45, 16 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for setting up the Sandbox - it worked just fine! --Greentina (talk) 01:59, 17 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Edit/End of Project/Presentation

edit

My section is in my sandbox now- I already published it but just so that there wouldn't be a huge drop at the end! Feel free to edit away, I will do the same! Maybe we should do final edits by the end of next week? We should probably also chat about our presentation - maybe Thursday after class?

I wrote comments on the talk page of your sandbox! --Heatheralyse (talk) 00:56, 27 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

I got your message Travis and I believe that would be great if you could re-introduce the said section back into the article now that we've got it re-structured. Thanks! --Biredale (talk) 00:16, 5 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hi Travis I think it's good to include the info on the other aboriginal group! I just changed "reservoir" to "lake" as I had called it reservoir and had been "corrected". I also took out the link because only the first mention should get a link, I believe. I also changed a tense form ("settled") but feel free to change it back if you don't like it. Normaromann (talk) 17:48, 9 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hi Travis, I second Norma's comment above, I think the info adds to the page as a whole even if it doesn't directly concern the primary first nations group discussed. Also I've made some minor changes to the flow of the page as labeled in the edit history. Feel free to edit my edits. I'm just going over the article to improve flow/get rid of some of the repeated information. --Biredale (talk) 00:54, 10 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
