Welcome! edit

Hello, Sykesem, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate encyclopedic contributions, but some of your recent contributions, such as your edit to the page Foot odor, seem to be advertising or for promotional purposes. Wikipedia does not allow advertising. For more information on this, please see:

August 2018 edit

This is your only warning; if you insert a spam link to Wikipedia again, as you did at Foot odor, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted, preventing anyone from linking to them from all Wikimedia sites as well as potentially being penalized by search engines. You have been indefinitely blocked from editing Wikipedia for continuing to add spam links. If you wish to make useful contributions, you may place {{unblock}} on your user talk page to have the block reviewed. Persistent spammers will have their websites blacklisted from Wikipedia. Please include the original unblock request.

This doesn't even begin to address how all your edits were about adding links a particular site. Max Semenik (talk) 06:24, 22 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

My apologies, I'm new to contributing to Wikipedia content and I haven't gotten the hang of best practices for posting and communication between users. I'm happy to replace any links that don't meet expectations with alternate sources. --Sykesem (talk) 19:02, 21 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

If I see your website spammed from any future accounts, I will add it to our spam blacklist. OhNoitsJamie Talk 19:18, 21 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Sure, I understand. Again, this whole platform is quite new to me and I don't want to be uncompliant. I'd made small additions to a handful of articles this morning, and when one of them was not approved, I went back in to replace the sources I used with different ones. I can see why this was interpreted as edit warring (something I just learned was a thing today- now I know about talk pages for reviewing). You won't be seeing anything like that from me in the future; I also don't intend to use any Wiki account but this one. Let me know if there are any outstanding things I should address at this point. Thanks. --Sykesem (talk) 19:33, 21 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
