Tomasz Wójcik draft

Hi SwisterTwister,

I added two portfolios, featuring graphic works by Tomasz Wójcik as well as his animated posters and film trailers. I hope this will be enough to restore the normal status of Tomasz Wójcik's website. Best regards --Szczebrzeszynski (talk) 08:35, 16 June 2017 (UTC)

Help Needed

I don't know why wikipedians keep deleting "UrbanClap" page that I created, it is a notable company and passes WP:GNG and has reliable sources to establish notability as well. As far as language is concerned I have checked a lot of similar pages with similar language.Bulle Shah (talk) 12:57, 16 June 2017 (UTC)

What the heck? I have legitimate, credible sources. Why is this being rejected?

Wanganuimatt (talk) 02:42, 19 June 2017 (UTC)

Jorge Eduardo Londoño

Hi SwisterTwister, Why did you remove BLP sources, it is applicable to him as anybody. Only one of those refs work, and the other mentions him by name, I think, so should have more refs, as it is BLP. scope_creep (talk) 22:37, 19 June 2017 (UTC)

  • Scope creep Well, I especially felt "Unreliable" sources was inapplicable given the two sources are significant publishers. About the BLP, because these two were reliable, it was enough. I can see what else I can find myself, given I know the language. SwisterTwister talk 22:52, 19 June 2017 (UTC)
That coolio. Obviously he is notable, but with WP:BLP. I didn't know what to put, when the refs don't resolve, not much else available. It seems to be quite a common problem. scope_creep (talk) 22:58, 19 June 2017 (UTC)

Marc A. Zimmerman

Just curious... why just one tag? Atsme📞📧 04:29, 19 June 2017 (UTC)

  • Atsme I've worked extensively in these subjects and, as long as there's published paper showing they're a significant figure in that field they're notable (the GoogleScholar link I listed showed high citations by peers as a scientist). I added other relevant sources so the only remaining applicable one is COI, which is not a serious concern. SwisterTwister talk 04:38, 19 June 2017 (UTC)
Thank you for the timely response. I appreciate your experience which is why I was asking. I never doubted his notability but what does concern me is the fact that there's not one cited reference that Zimmerman didn't author or co-author. There's no way to know for certain if the author of the BLP has a COI, although it's rather obvious. The problem is that the article reads like a self-serving promotion, not an encyclopedic BLP. Notability doesn't dismiss the need for inline citations or the requirement for citing independent RS, and that's what the article needs and should be tagged as such. Perhaps you disagree? Atsme📞📧 12:05, 19 June 2017 (UTC)
Atsme GoogleScholar is actually an independent website since it's not the school website; these sources are considered independent by WP:PROF so it would be appropriate to remove the current template. I had removed some of the worst "promo" parts but it wasn't too severe; this is what our academics articles have always looked since their publications are what establishes Notability. For example, what else better to show his research is significant than the publishings themselves? News media is never considered a fully reliable source for this in science given it's not fully or always fully informed about science subjects. SwisterTwister talk 16:36, 19 June 2017 (UTC)
But the author of the references cited for the BLP is the BLP. Hope you don't mind, but I'm going to ping David Eppstein to take a look at this as a second opinion...just for reassurance so I don't get in trouble with NPR. Atsme📞📧 17:10, 19 June 2017 (UTC)
My feeling: Sources such as his faculty profile are published in a standardized format by his school (they are not his personal web site) so I think they're usable as reliable sources for the basic facts listed there (education history and job title) but, because they're still WP:PRIMARY, should not be used for more opinion-based material such as his research interests. They're at least enough to save the article from a BLPPROD. On the other hand, Google scholar, now used to source the claim "He is highly cited in his field" is a bad source. It violates WP:ELNO #9, which generally bans links to search engine results. And it cannot be use to support a claim of being highly cited, because they only give you numbers, but don't tell you whether those numbers are high. (One could look at his ranking in the people with the same listed research keywords, but that's also not very useful as it's too easy to game those by picking uncommon phrasings for the research interests.) The Sage author biography is also no good, as it is almost certainly written by Zimmerman himself — one can use it to find out what he thinks is important about his biography, but then you should search for better sources for those claims. All the publications by Zimmerman are not sources at all, and should be listed in a separate section. Also, there are way too many of them: five is a good target for how many selected publications to list. The description of his research contributions should not be sourced to his own publications, but to others' published reviews of those publications, or it should be cut from our article if those reviews cannot be found. So as far as I can see there is only one footnote that is actually usable as a source, and it's the primary faculty profile that is only usable for the bare-bones facts, not for anything that hints at evaluation or opinion.
There's also a more serious problem with the article: it is not just badly sourced, it is falsely sourced. In the current version, the claims of having the APA Distinguished Contribution Award and the SPHE Distinguished Fellow Award are sourced to the Sage page, which mentions no such awards. And the claim of being the only person to have won both of those honors is sourced to five of his own research papers, obviously wrong.
He clearly does pass WP:PROF#C1 for his highly cited papers, but that claim is something that should not go in an article, but used only in an AfD in case someone tries to get it deleted. The article should make the case for his significance in other ways than bean-counting, and through better sources than the ones you're using. —David Eppstein (talk) 01:18, 20 June 2017 (UTC)

Updated Areas Highlighted on Draft:The Quint

Hi SwisterTwister, you had rejected the initial draft I'd uploaded of Draft:The_Quint. I have reworked the article and added better references. Can you please review the article? I would be grateful if you could review the page and let me know if this is suitable to be moved from the draft section to an actual page. Thanks! VP101 (talk) 03:30, 20 June 2017 (UTC)

  • VP101 Weighing the actual sources, they're all only announcements or notices and it's no different than any other company, which would not establish notability; considering the company is barely 2 years old, the sources themselves are based in only either what they announced, hope to achieve, business transactions, etc. and that's simply not significant for an article. Altogether, the information is then simply a company-like website; notability cannot be inherited either. SwisterTwister talk 03:39, 20 June 2017 (UTC)

Amr Awadallah

Well, I think the subject is notable enough to have an article even though my coverage may have been faulty when looking for independent coverage. I suggest adding BLP_sources Template instead of deleting the article entirely. Actually, I created the page while I was surfing another article about Cloudera Inc. and it had his name in red as an article that needs creation, so I proceeded with that. If someone else more experienced than me steps in to do some fixes and maybe better referencing, I think we are being more constructive. Khaled Abolaynain (talk) 03:25, 21 June 2017 (UTC)

Welcome back to AfC!

Hi ST,

I'm not sure if you're following the discussion at the AfC talk or not, but the consensus seems to be that you've been added back as a reviewer. I know it must seem like a bit of a hassle- but please do check for copyvios every time (and after a while, you'll develop a 'sense' that something's been copied, if my experience is anything to go by) and being honest with you, I think that others may be quick to jump on you if you let too many copyvios slip past from now (it's super easy to add a copyvio check as part of your routine). I hope that you'll get back into the flow of things- you were very useful at knocking out the backlog last time.

Thanks for your time, jcc (tea and biscuits) 21:27, 21 June 2017 (UTC)

Draft:Urška Arlič Gololičič

Dear SwisterTwister,

It has been a long time since I went back to Urška Arlič Gololičič's draft, and now I want to work on it again. You commented that the sources weren't good enough, the problem is for a lot of her performances I cannot find any other information online proving that they have happened than some press releases about them. Would it be a solution if I could send you/wikipedia scanned programmes of her performances published by theatres or other institutions?

Dear SwisterTwister
Thank you for your comment on my article Draft:Kingmax. Kingmax is already well known to offer SD cards, USB flash drives, Solid state drives, etc. all over the world, as we can search them on Amazon.com etc.
The business type and scope is similar to ADATA, Silicon Power and Transcend Information, as I described.
And it is also known that offers OEM flash memory products and DRAM for Lexar.
So that is the reason why we need the article of Kingmax on Wikipedia English, and we already can watch the article of Kingmax on Wikipedia Japanese.
And I think I avoid the conflict of interest regarding Kingmax or others.
So if you can, I would like your assistance for completing the article.
- Japan808080 (Talk) 02:20, 30 June 2017 (UTC)

I just edited again and send a message. I understand others say displaying notability is not enough and this seems for advertising. However I displayed the group information as possible on an impartial ground, and I think Kingmax notability in the world is much more than Elecom, I-O Data, and Buffalo of Japanese company, that is not Sony, Panasonic and Toshiba.

Nobelparma

Hi SwisterTwister. While checking on some non-free image/external link use, I came across Nobelpharma. I notice you moved the article to the draft namespace, but I'm not sure whether you are aware that the creator has moved it back. It's completely unsourced so if you feel it's not ready for the article namespace per WP:BEFORE and WP:NORG, then maybe AfD it. Otherwise, the creator will probably just keep re-creating it or moving back to the article namespace. -- Marchjuly (talk) 11:20, 30 June 2017 (UTC)

  • Yes, it's clearly an unconfessed paid user continuing despite a last warning for it. SwisterTwister talk 17:11, 30 June 2017 (UTC)
    • I am not saying that isn't true or even that the company is notable. I am only suggesting AfD or even perhaps MfD as a way to try and resolve this and have the community address your concerns. If the creator reverted you once, they are likely to do so again. I see you have warned them about this on their user talk, but maybe explaining why you moved it back to the draft namespace and what its lacking would also help. -- Marchjuly (talk) 22:10, 30 June 2017 (UTC)

LEV KLYATIS

The new article LEV KLYATIS and its style of referencing - the style that would result from cutting-and-pasting the display version of a wiki page rather than its source - led me to do some digging. Some of the phrases match those in this version at speedydeletion.wikia.com. It also led me to spot Draft:Lev Klyatis which it appears you reviewed the most recently. I have a strong suspicion that the newest creator, User:Klasyer may be a sockpuppet of the previous creator User:Steve Vengrenovich. Do you have enough of a recollection to offer an opinion? Thanks, Cabayi (talk) 11:36, 1 July 2017 (UTC)

This has been moved to Lev Klyatis without a redirect.- MrX 12:22, 1 July 2017 (UTC)
Thanks MrX for the update. In the absence of any other info, pretty flimsy evidence, and no substantial breach of the rules, I've tagged both users with a cautionary {{uw-agf-sock}} rather than taking it to SPI. Regards, Cabayi (talk) 10:16, 2 July 2017 (UTC)

Hi Swister Twister,

Thanks for the review comments on my draft 'GSSL". Your comment was the references are not adequate o the notability. I have added verifiable 5-6 references which are reliable and true. However, if you see the Wikipedia page of the similar type of body for Geological Society of India, it have only two references, but that does not reflect the Society. However, it is accepted. Questions from Richboy999

Hello SwisterTwister,

So I'm assuming that I can ask questions on your talk page (I'm new). Anyways, is it like you guys reject the vast majority of new Wikipedia articles? Somehow I feel like that's true... Just out of curiosity. And I looked at some of the other articles that you guys were thinking of deleting. And I actually wonder why your criteria has to be so strict. Like I found a page called "Khatib and Alami" and the company employs 4000 people. So I wonder why you can't just let the draft go through. It's not like Wikipedia can be too big right.

Hi SwisterTwister. Thanks for reviewing the article. You said:

"The best thing that would've convinced us here is majorly published books as it's not something as commonly found in authors, therefore significant."

I've added in a couple of lines to show that the books are now published by a major publisher (Hodder, part of the Hachette Book Group)[1], and that he had a three book deal with Quercus which was extended to a fourth book deal when Hodder & Stoughton took over. Then I've resubmitted the article for consideration. Thanks very much for your time and your guidance.

about rejection of [2]

Hi, SwisterTwister,

I am afraid it was rather a discouraging laconic rejection for the 1st time submitter. I would definitely appreciate some more particular improving hints.

I admit It is difficult for the 1st time submitter to keep neutral point of view without a bias, while writing about software I am actively using. But it is not "Only an advertised business profile..", there is no advertising nor business behind that, not even for the author. Perhaps I have just unluckily chosen the style of presentation. I will try better next time.

Perhaps omitting the unnecessary detailed descriptions, and using for the beginning rather a stub-like style article ? Like [3] about the redirected BRouter = Bridge Router. I have naively thought my article could be better than this one, but what can I know ?

About independent references: There are not many existing, but I can definitely add some more. Unluckily, I have chosen such a reference style, that 3rd party references are more as external links, while references to product or product author info are often as inline citation to support mentioned ideas. So it may look as solely relying on the author. I admit I may struggle with notion of notability.

About musicologist Paul-Gilbert Langevin

Hello SwisterTwister,

This is the message I got from Brian Newbould: "There may be difficulty with the Wikipedia article because you wrote it yourself.  You need to get someone outside the family but with knowledge of your father and of the musical world to validate it. They could read it through and say that it is accurate (if they think it is) but perhaps change or add something here and there. I will still ask others about this."

I am genuinely confused as to why the article I wrote about attorney Catherine M. Stanton was rejected. I have seen many similar articles about many other attorneys on Wikipedia.

I provided legitimate news sources about attorney Stanton. The article is not an advertisement. It's about an accomplished, female lawyer in the highly competitive market of New York City.

Any additional feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

9 July 2017 review of submission by Rachelharrisla

Hello Swister Twister,

This is in response to your review and declining my article draft of artist Draft:Skye_Nicolas. You noted "notability standards as we best consider museum collections or major art reviews here". Not all notable contemporary artists have works included in "museum collections", or have been covered "major art reviews", often paid for by galleries.

I do believe that the sources I have cited, meet Wikipedia's guidelines. The artist I have written about:

1. Made front page news in the Philippine National Inquirer (the nation's largest newspaper), featuring a front page photo of his installation artwork as a tribute to the Fukushima Disaster in 2011. A secondary source was cited, of an independent source that scans ALL front pages of The Inquirer. The source shows the front page in which the artist's tribute artwork was featured.

2. The 'Buy Some Love' art dollar bill was covered by chief editor Oliver Maxwell Kupper of Autre Magazine, a prominent fashion arts culture magazine that is sold at exclusive fashion/arts store Colette, Paris.

3. The fashion art film VIS A VIS in collaboration with French high fashion designer Isabel Marant, was exclusively covered by Refinery29, a highly notable New York fashion media outlet.

4. M*DEL F*CKR was, again, covered by Autre Magazine, as well as New York fashion arts and culture magazine Frank51.

My main point is that the sources I have shown, are all credible and quality press sources that fit Wikipedia's definition of "notable" in the arts and fashion.

This artist's page for example Conor_Mccreedy, has sources that are similar in quality. And if we were to objectively weigh in the merits of both artists, Skye Nicolas' front page news story of his tribute to Fukushima, followed by the art installation he did with MediaNow New York in the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway (in collaboration with the Children of Chornobyl Relief and Development Fund to commemorate the Chernobyl nuclear disaster), has a far greater social impact, as well as being newsworthy of being added to Wikipedia.

Perhaps you could suggest the removal of some topics on the page draft, leaving only topics about "works" that have notable sources. But, I must humbly implore that his tribute to Fukushima which made "front page news", is undoubtedly noteworthy.

Otherwise, please consider deleting pages such as Conor_Mccreedy, Ina_Jang, and Henrik_Purienne. These article pages cite similar online sources in terms of quality and notability.

Thank you for your consideration.

Thank you for responding to my questions but there is still some confusion on my part. One: The Forbes story is NOT from an announcement and the company was 10 years old, not a start-up, when that mention was posted in their magazine.

Another question I have is, if a writer puts down that a company has raised x amount of money, I assumed that to verify that number one should verify it by linking to a source showing that they did, indeed, raise that money. Isn't that what the verification is for? So, in that instance, I would think that you'd want independent press sources listed to verify a money raise. (Otherwise, how do we know if the number and or money sources are correct?) How else does one establish the veracity of that information?

I thought that the citations were supposed to be used to verify the information posted, as coming from outside legit media sources (and not made up by the wiki writer). Shouldn't each citation in an entry be used to verify where that information came from? I tried to do that here. NPR (Freakonomics) and the Wall Street Journal are both prestigious outlets.

What sort of citations do I need in order to improve my submission and get it accepted into Wikipedia?

Tracker Software Page

Hi,

I just created my first article for Wikipedia - Tracker Software - which is about a company in my hometown. I went to considerable lengths to get the information for this article, write it, reference it and take photographs. In order to do this I used the pages of similar companies for this page. Please see the Wikipedia pages:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foxit_Software

and

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adobe_Systems

I do not understand why the page I created is considered an advertisement, when it is based on these pages, which are permitted in Wikipedia. Can you please give an explanation?

Thanks.

Thanks for your fast reply. If what you are saying is true, then why are those other pages still up on Wikipedia?

04:46, 10 July 2017 (UTC) Response to SwisterTwister comment in review of submission by Rachelharrisla

Your latest comment to Draft:Skye_Nicolas - "I see, yes, but the one best thing that would help here is at least major art reviews since we find that especially convincing in significance."

The artist's most recent (2016) feature interview with ART WEEK is significant.

Art Week is partners with: The National Arts Centre, The Brooklyn Museum, New York Academy of Art, The National Gallery, Institute of Contemporary Arts, National Portrait Gallery, Yale, Stanford University, Duke University, Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art, New York Center for Photographic Art, Lincoln Center For The Performing Arts, Boston Center for the Arts, among many other art institutions.

It is a sister publication of ARTNET, and both are highly credible resources for contemporary art news by curators, museum directors, fine art collectors and art world insiders.

High fashion designer and top high fashion brand Isabel Marant wouldn't have collaborated with the artist on their fashion art video, if he was not notable. The short film has garnered over 1 million views on YouTube, and featured in Refinery29 (as a referenced in the page draft), a major fashion media publication that is often cited in the New York Times and T-Magazine (NYT style magazine).

The artist's tribute to a major news event, Fukushima Nuclear Disaster in 2011, made front page news of The Philippine Daily Inquirer! The nation's largest newspaper. A scan of the front page was provided as reference in the page draft, which points to a site that scans every 'Inquirer' front page. Not all publications have been digitized, especially in countries where resources are scarce and ephemera such as newspapers are not always given priority. But nevertheless, credible evidence has been duly noted and referenced. Is a national newspaper not a notable source of reference(?), especially when the person being discussed was featured on its front page, in reference to a major historic news event such as Fukushima?

I am willing to supply a very detailed scan image of 'The Inquirer' front page, which can be uploaded to Wikimedia Commons, as a supplemental reference to the page draft. That would surely add more notable content to the article.

Again, I humbly implore for your re-reviewal of this page, as the contemporary artist I've written about has substantial work that is notable and has been deservingly featured.

Thank you for your kind consideration.

I am not an experienced wiki page builder. In fact I don't have much of a clue about your construction process.

But (and I know you must hear this a lot) you must be kidding: when you are tell us that there is not enough notoriety for Tom MacLear to be mentioned in Wiki. You see the sources, although some are mentions as you say, but IMDB? AND THE OTHER well known Print & Internet Publishings of Tom MacLear in Entertainment Media, Neilson Ratings etc., are not relevent?

Facebook has "verified" him as a significant person in the entertainment business.

Facebook Definition of 'Verified' : What is a verified Page or profile? ..."If you see a blue badge on a Page or profile, it means that Facebook confirmed that this is the authentic Page or profile for this public figure, media company or brand. Keep in mind that not all public figures, celebrities and brands on Facebook have blue badges."

I can post you 10-20 Wiki pages that contain persons who have done far less than Tom MacLear in the entertainment world, which you have up on Wiki Pages.

You're instructions of what constitutes a person of Notability IS FAR TO VAGUE to follow. Especially when you have novices in our industry up on your Wiki pages, but who obviously are Record Label acts with large amounts of money behind them contribute to your companys efforts.

Do I hire you to construct this for us? Can you log on to Google and look him up and understand what we are talking about?

Please let us know....

Tom MacLear is mentioned in a Wiki page musicians site as his contributing Producer and Writer.... any love on that?

Hello SwisterTwister,

First off, thank you for your most recent comments.

You recently said: "A scan wouldn't be necessary as there would likely be some challenges over licensing; but the simple information about it such as title, date, publisher, relevant quotes, etc. would be accepted. This would be a start and all additional ones would certainly help."

As per your recommendation, I have added more details to Draft:Skye_Nicolas. Details include (title, date, publisher, relevant quotes, etc), and quotes referencing the original published articles have been clearly referenced in block-quotes. Details including the digital archiving of the printed article has also been mentioned. All clear, concise, and highly relevant information has been added to make for a stronger article page, thanks to your guidance and comments.

Please have a look at the newly edited page. As you mentioned in your most recent comment, " This would be a start...". It certainly would. This article page would make a great foundation to build on if published, as all the notable and relevant references are there.

Also, would a Facebook VERIFIED page be worth mentioning?

Facebook Definition of "Verified" profiles: "If you see a blue badge on a Page or profile, it means that Facebook confirmed that this is the authentic Page or profile for this public figure, media company or brand. Keep in mind that not all public figures, celebrities and brands on Facebook have blue badges."

Facebook has verified Skye Nicolas as a public figure and notable artist. Should I add this to the space that lists the artist's official website?

Thank you.

Hey! Thanks for taking the time to review my page. I've been talking to RileyBugz to help with the sources (I incorrectly cited 4 videos, which is why they were removed). I'm confused as to why the tags were added after the content that was deemed promotional was removed. (I'm also not sure why some of it was considered promotional, like where he was born...I understand some of it, since I got a lot of biographical material from his autobiographical writing, but not all of it). I'm newer to Wikipedia, but I really want to work my way up to eventually writing a Good Article or even Featured Article, so all your feedback helps!!! I want to correct the page so I can remove the tags and make it look nice again :) Rtt11talk 02:36, 12 July 2017 (UTC)

  • Rtt11 The current article along with information and sources are promotional such as what his own advertisements would say, not an encyclopedia here. We cannot accept publications by name alone if the contents are still either announcements, press releases and notices. SwisterTwister talk 02:39, 12 July 2017 (UTC)

SwisterTwister Thanks for your quick response. The majority of the sources are interviews, either by bloggers or by news stations. What makes those promotional? They aren't press releases or announcements...just interviews. And the career section is so barebones now that I can't see how it would be seen as promotional. Rtt11talk 02:42, 12 July 2017 (UTC)

Rtt11 Because, whether intended or not and I fully understand the story behind this, but those sources would be too focused in what the subject himself would say, such as if it's a local newspaper or a local listing, therefore we cannot accept this; therefore we need only the best amount of independent significant major news, and not simply something still tied to the subject. There's no limit on good sourcing, as long as it's convincing. SwisterTwister talk 03:24, 12 July 2017 (UTC)

Hello SwisterTwister,

Your latest comment: "(I can invite someone else for additional comment about this too)"

Of course, I appreciate and welcome any other comments and reviews by other editors to better the article page. Would the NEW editor reviewing Draft:Skye_Nicolas be able to see our entire conversation thread, so that he/she would be up-to-speed with all the facts, details, and points that have been pointed out? I just want to make sure that the new person looking into this would take into account all the valid points that have been brought forward, as well as be able to see how the article page draft has been slowly edited and corrected as a response and in compliance to your comments.

Please take note that I've carefully made NEW UPDATES (as per your request), and all these new updates clearly cite the newspaper articles that reference the artist's FRONT PAGE feature in The Philippine Inquirer, the nation's largest and premier newspaper. Being on the front page of The Philippine Inquirer, would be the equivalent on being on the front page of The New York Times in Southeast Asia.

Thank you for your kind consideration, and further review.

SwisterTwister-- Hello, Thank you for the feedback and advice you provided on my first Wikipedia page, on the artist Jessica Snow. Since I would like to make more pages for artists I follow in the future, I would like to request some clarification. The article I wrote listed multiple museums Jessica Snow has exhibited in and also listed a review on Hyperallergic, which I thought was a major art world publication. WASPI (Women Against State Pension Inequality)

Hi! Thanks for reviewing the changes I made to the Draft:WASPI (Women Against State Pension Inequality) article. I've since expanded the article a little further with a couple more sources, however I wanted to check in with you regarding the article meeting WP:GNG and WP:NONPROFIT.

I had felt the the FTAdviser article was significant as the whole article discussed the changes in the organisation and also independent and reliable as the FTAdviser appears to be a spin-off of the Financial Times. Furthermore, I believed the the Press & Journal article to be significant as it discussed an official WASPI event and again was reliable as it is a well-established newspaper. I've since also added this article from The Telegraph which I hope also meets the criteria as it discusses in depth a government minister's response to WASPI's demands.

It'd be greatly appreciated if you could help clarify how I can meet these criteria. Maesterial (talk) 14:38, 12 July 2017 (UTC)

I'm still a little confused. Many major British news organisations have talked about WASPI, including unbiased broadcasters such as the BBC and ITV as well as a number of well-reputed national and local newspapers on all sides of the political landscape. WASPI, the organisation, has become synonymous with the issue as a whole, indeed all women affected by the changes to the state pension are often referred to as 'Waspi women'. A lot of media articles do include a summary of what WASPI is, reporting factually on the organisation rather than on any particular action, for example this is taken from a BBC article:
Women Against State Pension Inequality (Waspi) emerged to campaign over those issues.
Waspi wants compensation for the "unfair" way the changes of 1995 and 2011 were implemented.
It wants payments for those who have already reached the state retirement age, plus extra income for those still awaiting their state pension.
But it is not asking for women's retirement age to return to 60.
Critics of Waspi say it is not clear how much their demands would cost.
I firmly agree that minor news and announcements do not indicate significance, but the group has received in-depth coverage, for example a search for 'waspi' on the FTAdviser returns 51 articles. As evidenced by a number of sources in the article, the group's campaign has reached the attention of many senior politicians and the issue at hand has frequently been discussed in parliament with reference to the official WASPI campaign. Could you give me an example of what kind of article would be needed to meet the criteria? Maesterial (talk) 15:28, 12 July 2017 (UTC)
Maesterial The BBC one is actually not a concern so you can add it, but we will still need all additional good ones overall. SwisterTwister talk 15:36, 12 July 2017 (UTC)
Hi, I've gone through the article and ensured that all the information is now fully sourced with either articles from trustworthy news organisations or government-related websites. Where a first-hand source such as WASPI's website is used for basic information, I've also now added an additional second-hand source as well.
On top of the BBC article I mentioned earlier, another three of the article's media sources give similar summaries of WASPI which I hope are suitable:
"The national campaign started with five women in 2015 to combat the impact of both the 1995 and 2011 Pension Acts, which included plans to increase the retirement age from 60 to 65." ~ The Press
"Campaigners are not against equalisation, but want fair transitional arrangements to be put in place to protect against hardship.
They argue the women affected have been unfairly disadvantaged both by the speeding up of the process and lack of notice of the changes." ~ The Press and Journal
"The Waspis have waged a fierce media protest in recent years against changes to the State pension age which were first brought about in 1995 to bring women's state pension age in line with men's.
What they are calling for is a “bridging pension” that would fill the gap between their anticipated pension age of 60 and the later date at which their state pension is due to start under the new rules." ~ The Telegraph
I would be very grateful if you could take another look through the article and advise me on where I could improve the sourcing further. Maesterial (talk) 17:07, 12 July 2017 (UTC)
That's brilliant! I've re-submitted it for review but I'll be sure to add further references and expand the article when I can. Maesterial (talk) 17:27, 12 July 2017 (UTC)

Article creation 5miles

Hi! I submitted 5miles article recently and it was reviewed by you. First of all, thank you for your time. I would like to ask you if you can you please help me understand your remarks and how can I improve the article. In your remarks you wrote down "notability cannot be inherited" and I totally agree, hence why I read all the guidelines, found and read dozens of similar pages, wrote it in a neutral way, explained why is significant to be included as per the guidelines definition and added reliable sources. I understand the need to protect the community and keep it neutral and significant but a quick search online will retrieve dozens of significant results directly related with this article, with verifiable information. Your feedback is more than welcomed, especially if you can explain exactly what you found as too suggestive of an advertised business profile. Hi SwisterTwister,

I can appreciate where you are coming from, but I also feel like many other profiles on Wikipedia in the edtech space are referenced in the same way so am somewhat confused as to why these are acceptable but this page not.

See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Otus_(education) or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mathletics_(educational_software) as examples. Many of their sources are from the respective company websites or press release. I took care to ensure than my sources were all independently written. i.e. not written by the company itself.

Is there a difference between these pages and the Learnosity one that I am missing that would help illustrate further?

Thanks

Dear SwisterTwister,

Thanks for your review. I've worked with another editor through IRC to work on your helpful pointers. Here's a quick summary of what I did:

1. The editor brought up the question whether I think the article satisfies WP:COMPOSER. I believe this to be the case in virtue of article 6 ("Appears at reasonable length in standard reference books on his or her genre of music."); see footnote 6 of the article. The editor in question then added a link to the standard reference book in which the subject's musical work is discussed in some depth.

2. In addition to this, I've added a number of reviews, as you suggested:

a. I've added another academic publication (footnote 12) in which the subject's work is reproduced, to substantiate claims made in the first "Music" paragraph.

b. Two reviews that appear on personal blogs of noted experts in the field, who have also published in the appropriate venues, as per Wikipedia policy (footnotes 7 and 13).

c. Two additional articles in reputable magazines that review the subject's work at some length (footnotes 9 and 15)

d. And two reliable sources confirming a claim made at the end of the second paragraph of the "Biography" section (footnotes 5 and 6).

I expect that all this will serve to establish the notability of the subject. What's the next step?

Blitzer99 (talk) 11:12, 16 July 2017 (UTC) Hi. Thank you for reviewing my first draft of a page on spens clauses. As you have suggested, I have added several more references. There are plenty more out there but I feel they start to be duplicative. I work in this field and so can assure you that this is a notable concept in Finance. Indeed I was surprised that it didn't already have a Wikipedia page which is why I have bothered to write one.

If this is still not sufficient to be accepted I would welcome your more detailed guidance on what else is required.

George Grüner

Wikipedia received an email regarding an article you created George Grüner. For confidentiality reasons I cannot reveal the contents of the email without the permission of the person who sent it but I can share that there concerns about errors in the article. I will share advice on how to request corrections but for a starter, you identified the individual as a Hungarian physicist. I believe I've looked at all of the references you used as well as the official UCLA biography, none of which identify him as Hungarian. This claim is challenged — what was your basis for the inclusion?

  • Sphilbrick Yes, I had noticed there was an anonymous IP removing content, which was in fact based from his faculty profile, and they were stating they were the subject and that information was inaccurate, but this is a curious thing because the faculty profile would be highly unlikely to be inaccurate given it's the official CV. As a matter of fact, his own CV shows he was educated in Hungary here and here, his book cover at Amazon states so and his biography here states he was also educated in Hungary and later returned to Hungary. This also suggests he is Hungarian given it's before he joined UCLA. For example, see this and this were stated to be inaccurate yet they are based from his linked UCLA bio, as was also this example (information I added was not only in Wiki-format but, was removed in place of information pasted from his CV instead). I happened to notice this same IP had in fact changed it to "Hungarian-American" instead too, here, suggesting the information was not entirely inaccurate. I also notice that the last time this IP came back here, they once again pasted it a different way instead of the still accurate information based from his CV. I'm not quite sure the contents were inevitably blanked by the end. SwisterTwister talk 22:32, 16 July 2017 (UTC)
Thanks for that explanation. My initial thinking was that many Americans have been educated in non-American universities so one could conclude based on the location of his university where he was born. However, the Amazon cover page referencing "native" And the Hungarian Academy of sciences reference to him are certainly strongly supportive of his Hungarian background. It might be shorter definitive and it might not even be true but I no longer assume the statement was made simply because he attended a University in Hungary. I'm not sure what we do next.--S Philbrick(Talk) 00:04, 17 July 2017 (UTC)
I'd consider a suitable solution (based on our facts) that changing to "Hungarian-American" would be sufficient especially considering the IP once changed it to that before blanking the page. If there's any trouble after, we can always work something else out. Cheers, SwisterTwister talk 00:12, 17 July 2017 (UTC)
I concur with the above - the references provided don't really demonstrate that he actually is Hungarian, but I'm satisfied with the other links you've provided. Good digging. Primefac (talk) 00:18, 17 July 2017 (UTC) (talk page stalker)

Hawaiian Chocolate Factory

Dear SwisterTwister,

I am not trying to add promotional content to Wikipedia. My motive for writing this article came from a trip to Hawaii, where I visited the Hawaiian Chocolate Factory. I have always been interested in contributing to Wikipedia, so I was at home one day looking for Encyclopedia-worthy topics. I noticed that the Hawaiian Chocolate Factory wasn't on Wikipedia, but, as it turns out, a page that I want the page to look like exists, Koa Coffee Plantation is. I figure since this page was allowed, so should the Hawaiian Chocolate Factory. I would not have decided to write about the Hawaiian chocolate factory if there wasn't anything special about it.

I'm sorry that you think that I am advertising, that was not my goal.

Speedy deletion nomination of Tillack

A tag has been placed on Tillack requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G6 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an orphaned disambiguation page which either

  • disambiguates two or fewer extant Wikipedia pages and whose title ends in "(disambiguation)" (i.e., there is a primary topic); or
  • disambiguates no (zero) extant Wikipedia pages, regardless of its title.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time. Please see the disambiguation page guidelines for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. 04:57:49, 18 July 2017 review of submission by Poohbydz

 Hello SwisterTwister,

Poohbydz (talk) 05:28, 18 July 2017 (UTC) First of all, thanks for your comment and review. However, i do have some questions and concerns about your comment.

As you read, "Amook", also known as fishcake is different. The purpose of this article is to tell people around the world what exactly is "Amook". Most people around the world would know that fishcakes are from Japan. From what i have studied prior to writing this article is that fish cake is from Japan and "Amook" is originated from Japan. My intention is no where close to advertising any products. I solemnly wrote this article to inform people about Korea's food culture. When talking about Korea's history, it is impossible to avoid mentioning Korean war. "Amook" is heavily interconnected to Korean war.

Also, your comment pointed out that Wikipedia is not a cook book. I understand what you mean by that, however it is very difficult to write about food product without mentioning its ingredients and how its made in a brief words. I have tried my best to state the facts and history about "Amook".

If its possible for you to refer to specific part of article that looks like advertisement, please let me know so that i can explain it to you why it is written like it is. I wish to talk to you as soon as possible and i am willing to make modifications if necessary.

Thanks for reviewing. Poohbydz (talk) 05:28, 18 July 2017 (UTC)

Draft:Visar Mulliqi decline Update 2

Hi again David,

Kindly have a look at the updated article. I have included all the relevant news regarding the article (person) and the material in it as advised.

This is probably one of the most completed, well-cited and thoroughly researched article of any South-European Artist in WikiPedia.

I have helped some researchers in Pristina to publish the article for my grandfather Muslim Mulliqi in the http://ipkofoundation.org/activities/wiki-academy-kosovo-ii-city-marathon/ - Wiki Academy II - City Marathon which was held in the capital of Kosovo. There were researchers and contributors of Wikipedia who also helped publish these articles.

Recently I came up with the idea of publishing an article about my father, the mentioned in the article, Visar Mulliqi, since he is among the most-renowned artists (painting) in the Republic of Kosovo and Albania. It was good to test my skills and have an article like this published. I use WikiPedia a lot and it is an honor for me to contribute here.

Let me know if anything else is needed.

Thank you.

P.S. I will of course keep this article updated once published, constantly. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sevillissta (talkcontribs) 01:22, 20 July 2017 (UTC)

Hi David, Thank you so much for reviewing my article submission. I have looked at your comments and used them to improve the page. I realized the some of the sources used were interviews and small profile paragraphs on Rodriguez, thus not reliable enough. After editing, I have taken out those unreliable sources or have deleted content if it could not be backed up. I have looked at multiple other business profiles, like Jeff Immelt's Wikipedia page [1], in order to make sure the voice is not biased and matches that of other business executives. I realize that Wikipedia pages on CEOs and Presidents are tough to get passed as they sometimes may seem like an advertisement, however hopefully these sources back up his credibility to your standards. Otherwise, I am willing to make more changes to the draft, as I believe Rodriguez is a notable person that people will want to know more about. Let me know if you have any other advice on how to update this draft and get it passed. Thank You. Minerva567 (talk) 15:14, 20 July 2017 (UTC)

I am looking for clarity so that I might revise this draft.

Is it a matter of not enough articles from different sources? There are more than 35 articles from the last four months writing about the subject, interviewing him, and reviewing his recent work. I can add more.

And on that note, can I add sources that are not directly cited in the article? Or only as references to cited material?

Is it a matter of the legitimacy of the sources? There were 2 articles at HuffingtonPost.com I could cite. One at thefourofive.com, one at tatoo.com. Are those considered more reliable sources? There are also older local news website articles and interviews. Is that considered more reliable?

Is it a matter of popularity? Does the subject need to be more known in the public?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

Sockpuppetry at AFC

There is a particular pattern of sockpuppetry that I frequently encounter at AFC. I discover it because I try to move a sandbox draft into draft space, but the name is already in use. I look at the draft, and the draft is identical or almost identical to the sandbox. The history shows that the draft in draft space was previously submitted to AFC and declined by Editor A. The sandbox then contains the same draft by Editor B. They do not overlap. Editor B appears to be a clean start. However, it is sockpuppetry. CheckUser almost always confirms that the two accounts are the same. Robert McClenon (talk) 02:56, 22 July 2017 (UTC)

Hi David,

I note that the first draft for my contribution on "The Woon Foundation Painting & Sculpture Art Prize" is rejected and you mentioned that "Currently too suggestive of an advertised business profile and the current information and sources are being weighed no different than this; notability cannot be inherited."

May I request for some advise or assistance as to how to improve so that the subsequent drafts can be accepted?

On this contribution, I would like to emphasise that the Art Prize is not a business. It is in fact an awarded funded by a Singapore Foundation to promote art and education in UK. As such, it is not a business. Also, the award is co-organized by reputable organisations such as Northumbria University and Baltic 39 in Newcastle, UK. Most of the sources are from the University's website, the Baltic's website, as well as UK news sources.

Sincerely appreciate any advise on your side. Thanks!

Briggon Snow Draft

Hey! Thank you so much for taking the time to review my article. I have gone in and switched out references to make sure they are secondary and reliable. The reason I believe this article is of a subject of note is because I am making it to complement and further enrich The Bright Sessions article with it's inclusion. Briggon Snow (me) is a main cast member of The bright Sessions. With our show being adapted for television with Universal Cable Productions, and it's success/notoriety, I am trying to make available an encyclopedic article for listeners and all of those wanting to learn about The Bright Sessions and myself as a main cast member of the show. I would humbly argue that my involvement in the success of this show gives an encyclopedic article about me (Briggon Snow) reason and credibility. Two of our other actors have wikipedia articles, and I am beginning to attempt to get myself and other cast members articles for those who read The Bright Sessions article to be able to follow to "Briggon Snow" and other related pages. Please let me know if there is anything I can do additionally to ensure this article gets published. I appreciate your feedback and listed reasons for not allowing the posting of our article, however, unlike many 'profile' looking articles that I see on Wikipedia, Verisurf and its founder, Ernie Husted, truly were the first to develop the concept of Model-Based Definition (MBD) using a PC. The use of reference links throughout the article is to help the reader understand the various applications and definitions tied to the MBD concept and processes. If the information we are presenting was 'advertising fluff' then I agree, Wikipedia is not the place for it, but we are trying to be a straight forward as possible as to not over complicate the concept and confuse the reader. I would appreciate any further feedback you can provide so that we can get the article approved.

Thank you, Robert

  • Robertmooers We consider significant reviews or other critical reception important for these subjects because it would be considered significant for us; if you can add any available major independent news or similar sourcing, that would also help. The current article as it is now, would not be enhanced enough for acceptance. SwisterTwister talk 22:04, 24 July 2017 (UTC)

Review of submission by Tracyalicious on 25 July 2017

Thank you for adding a comment on Draft:Weather Trends International. I've gone back and improved the submission's referencing, but was hoping you could give me a little more guidance on pointing out which of the current references are either unreliable, non-independent, or provide insufficient coverage.

Respectfully, I request that you read the sources I cited to see that they are all actual articles written by reporters at notable publications and not press releases regurgitated from a wire source. While one of the articles may have information that is gleaned from a company release (I believe but have no direct knowledge) that story is written by an actual reporter from the Wall Street Journal. In that case, I wanted to verify the amounts of money the company raised (and from which sources) and am at a loss for any other way to verify that fact. If the WSJ, which uses fact checkers, publishes that information, I assume it is true so I thought it would be a good source. Otherwise, all the rest of the sources are from reputable publications which quote the company's CEO as an expert and/or discuss the company as a notable source for their stories. Please point out exact instances in which this is not true and I will remove those citations and replace them with others. Otherwise, please reconsider accepting my submission. I have been working very hard to make sure it is a notable entry. Thanks. Tracyalicious (talk) 23:04, 25 July 2017 (UTC)

  • Yes Tracyalicious 1-4, 9 and 10 is an example of simple announcements or notices about something similar the company would announce themselves, wherever published and, 5 and 6 is a report involving them (which even if significant, wouldn't be enough alone). The last link is finally a general website URL. What we need instead is major independent news in major publications (and not trade, since they're not convincing enough) that wasn't somehow either influenced or tied to the company or its publishings. I'll also specify that the "Products" section is sourced by, not only one particular company announcement in this exactly (10) but that one website URL. Also, since I examined the Forbes 2001 source, it's actually heavily similar to a general company overview since this is similar to a press release in our terms. Feel welcome to ask any other questions, SwisterTwister talk 04:32, 26 July 2017 (UTC)

Hello SwisterTwister. Thank-you for taking time to review my submission on Institut Montana. I'm very new to Wiki so don't understand many things, although I did thoroughly read lots and lots of guidelines and tutorials, as well as many other pages on schools similar to Montana. I'm currently writing a book on the founder of the school and his role in Operation Sunrise, that ended WWII. I have a question - you comment that Wiki only considers secondary schools notable. But as Montana is a school that educates up to the IB or the Swiss Matura, I thought that would make it a secondary school. As far as Notability in other ways is concerned, if you think it needs something else I can work on that with the correct sort of reference. I just want to be careful of not sounding like an advertisement, of course. Thank-you for your help to a novice! --Savinar (talk) 17:14, 26 July 2017 (UTC)

Hello SwisterTwister. Thank you for your comments from yesterday but I am still very confused by your answer. I reviewed all of your points, however, respectfully I do not understand the basis for them.

Article one is from Forbes and is an article about agri data which mentions many different companies including this one. That is most definitely not from a press release, as a company would not list their competitors in a release. Article two is from the Washington Post and is a feature story about retail sales. This story actually has more information about Planalytics (Weather Trend's main competitor) than the company itself. Planalytics is actually mentioned in my Wikipedia entry and I linked the mention to their Wikipedia entry which has even less notable citations than my entry does. This story also quotes the CEO as an expert. Article number three is also a feature story about retail sales and is not from the same time period as the proceeding citation or from a release. Article number four is from a Freakonomics podcast called "The Folly of Predition" which would hardly be from a press release from a weather forecasting company. Number 5 is a report, but it was an independent one that was done by a university. I'm not sure why that is a problem, but if it is, what is a better way to cite it? Number 6 not from a report at all. That is from a story on Accuweather's web site about Hurricane Audrey, that was written by what is essentially a competitor of theirs citing the CEO as an expert in weather forecasting and discussing Hurricane Audrey. Not sure why you called that a report. Number 9 is from a local business publication, which may have gotten its information from the company, but why does that make it less notable? The White House press secretary announces news for the national papers, does that make it not noteworthy? And lastly, number 10 is from Smart Money and is an interview they did with them about a product they released but considering that the story also quotes an analyst which says the app may not accurate, I'd hardly consider that a press release. None of these are from trade publications. They are all from national, well-known and respected press outlets.

If these citations are not considered noteworthy, could please find some for this entry that are? Or, in light of my explanation, could you please move it into the articles for inclusion? Thank you so much. I am trying very hard to meet the criteria and spent a lot of time researching to create this entry.

Then I left a message at 20:31, 13 July 2017 (UTC) saying "Hi, SwisterTwister, thanks for your additional comment on the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Chad_Lefkowitz-Brown article. I just added two more major reviews (in addition to the NY Daily News headline) where the subject headlines the articles. Let me know if that will do, and thanks again for your help!" Hello, just following up here. I've added several major reviews now to the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Chad_Lefkowitz-Brown article, let me know if this content will suffice. Thanks for your help! Stephanie.sanz1932 (talk) 18:47, 26 July 2017 (UTC)

Please let me know what kind of reviews and refrerences do you need more other than 15+ that I already provided. Also, please explain why an article about Tabletop Simulator which is a very similar service in its core, is published with the kind of reference there is? It seems much less notable compared to the links I provided. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tabletop_Simulator I find it not correct and even biased that only one platform gets coverage on Wikipedia.

I've added everything I could find and do think that they are numerous and reliable sources from the likes of Digital Trends, Popdust, GeekDad, League of Gamemakers, Casual Game Insider, etc. which are significant in this field.

Thank you.

Hi SwisterTwister, Thank you for reviewing the draft of my article Draft:Nique_Needles. I have used mainstream newspapers and a wide variety of publications that focus on film to establish the notability of the subject. I have not used blogs, social media, Wikipedia or IMDb as sources. The article keeps getting rejected however. The first couple of drafts were quite sloppy, but I've made many edits now and I thought I would be through. I have read all the helpful information you posted but it would be great to get some specific advice.

Thank you. CorneliusD62 (talk) 12:23, 27 July 2017 (UTC) CorneliusD62

(See WP:NOT, "Simple listings of business alliances, clients, competitors, employees, offices, products and services, subdivisions")

I don't see awards in your list. I see many pages with Stevie Awards listed on them. How would you propose we put this back in a more appropriate way?

Hi SisterTwister,

You are the second person to reject this entry. I am a bit frustrated about how to proceed as I did substantially change the first draft of this post and added many more sources and links the second time. Just because there are no more sources about this person on the internet doesn't mean they aren't notable, but that is the feedback I am getting. My approach was to make the entry much shorter so there would be less to take issue with, but that doesn't seem to be the case, it just feels as though Wikipedia is deeming this person "not notable."

I really need to get this page approved so I would appreciate your specific help for what exactly I need to do to make that happen.

Thanks,

I would like to know exactly what I need to add or omit to have my article accepted. My references are sound and varied and my subject would appear to be notable, although drafts have been declined because of questionable notability. Nique Needles worked on a considerable number of notable Australian films in the '80s and won awards for his work in Australia and Italy. He quit the business to complete a PhD in Visual Art and is now an exhibiting artist. He is a notable character and this notability is not merely inherited. CorneliusD62 (talk) 14:40, 27 July 2017 (UTC)

Hi there,

"Looking in again, announcements or notices are still being offered which won't help and would need to be removed instead, regardless of verified facts." I saw that this was your comment in your most recent review of my Ron Douglas page. It's a little vague/unclear. Could you possibly further specify what you mean by "announcements or notices?"

Asking for help with sources on Draft:Membran Entertainment Group

Hi SwisterTwister,

Thanks for adding a comment on Draft:Membran Entertainment Group. I've gone back and improved the submission's referencing, but was hoping you could give me a little more guidance on pointing out which of the current references are either unreliable, non-independent, or provide insufficient coverage.

Thanks for your help!

Majopego (talk) 04:28, 19 July 2017 (UTC)

SwisterTwister Thank you! Then, is it a matter of adding more news sources? Are the current sources alright to keep, and if not, which are considered incorrect? Thanks for your help! Majopego (talk) 15:01, 19 July 2017 (UTC)
Majopego Yes, please add all additional ones available. SwisterTwister talk 17:19, 19 July 2017 (UTC)
Hi SwisterTwister, I have a question regarding the validity of sources in other articles that have been approved. de:Rookie Records, for example, is an approved subject close to my submission, without reliable independent sources providing substantial coverage of the subject. Was this article approved because it's in a different language edition of Wikipedia? Thanks for your help! Majopego (talk) 17:09, 27 July 2017 (UTC)

Clarification

Thank you for taking the time to go through the page, your feedback is appreciated. I just wanted to try to get some additional clarification on your rejection as we had gone through the references with additional editors who said they were OK as they included some higher level articles written about him. We had adjusted the copy to use less of the "peacocking terms" and would love if you could provide a little more insight into what we can modify to better fit the guidelines.

Thank you! - Ben

re: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Abie_Longstaff

Hi, Thanks for your comment re: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Abie_Longstaff: "Would highly benefit from adding significantly published reviews, something that enhances notability." ... I'll add some over the weekend.

It is somewhat difficult to find extensive reviews for the picture and chapter book genre – newspapers have been criticised for not devoting sufficient space for reviews of children’s books (although many are currently campaigning about this – see #coverkidsbooks on Twitter) however, I can certainly find something useful. There are many reviews on blogs, etc, but I will stick to reviews only from the UK National papers and from nationally recognized organizations.

Any further advice would be useful.

Hi,

Firstly, Thank you for taking out time to review my post. I am new to Wikipedia and posting this article for the first time.

My reasons to get this article posted are,

I recently got to know this company which is doing a lot of genuine hardwork for the customers to meet their requirements.

I realised, that this small company which is not on Wikipedia should be there so that we as common people should have knowledge of all big and small (or less known) businesses and companies in and around our locality or area, to broaden our knowledge and be able to make better decisions by comparing to other similar companies (which are big and also on Wikipedia).

I was trying to be BOLD to have this small company on bigger platform like Wikipedia to give more options to any person who is looking for companies in that similar sector, where bigger companies always tries to push their monopoly on simple buyer.

I would be grateful to Wikipedia body in understanding my moto or purpose of making the people more aware. It is going to be just helpful to the reader only.

I know I am not a great writer (as may be needed by Wikipedia) to make it to an acceptable level. I will be thankful if you assist me in writing or suggesting on any thing/way to get this article published on Wikipedia.

With Best Regards.

School notability

Hi, this is regarding your review of Draft:Skill and You. You said that "we will only accept ones (schools) that are either secondary schools". This is incorrect, as secondary schools are not presumed notable as per this RFC and WP:SCHOOLOUTCOMES. Thanks! Darylgolden(talk) Ping when replying 07:59, 28 July 2017 (UTC)

Draft:Dreamstime Submission declined on 28 July 2017

Tiensuuj (talk) 19:32, 29 July 2017 (UTC) Dreamstime Hello, thanks for the review, however I disagree on the refusal reason. Article written now is quite different from article that was deleted before for concerns that the article is just used for promotion. The article submitted now at least tries to be neutral and avoid any promotion even if the sources used could be better. As I was reading articles about microstock photography I noticed Dreamstime has no article in Wikipedia, even though it is one of the first and biggest microstock agencies. The company is by all standards (except for being publicly traded) notable and therefore in my opinion warrants an article. The company is for example mentioned in several Wikipedia articles. As any sources too close to the company should be avoided and referencing wikipedia is discouraged, proving the notability is somewhat hard. The same things about being neutral and avoiding promotion can't be said for most (microstock) companies on wikipedia.

Draft:Assetz Property Group

Hi,

Thanks for reviewing my submission. As you said '3 of the sources are repeated announcements', it would be great if you can tell me which one you are referring to. As my resources are unique and from reputated sites giving different pieces of information

  • ET realty
  • M&N Acritique
  • India Infoline

Other are two sources are citing company info having good authority. I have seen in other wiki articles citing info from Bloomberg. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Assetz_Property_Group Jogideep (talk) 08:45, 31 July 2017 (UTC)

09:59:27, 31 July 2017 review of submission by Narayanan, Ananth

I am not requesting a re-review. However, I want clarity on the why the submission was declined and in what way can I make improvements to the submission, as suggested by the reviewer.

This user page has been submitted several times, with the submission being declined last on 4 July 2017 by DrStrauss. The following reason was given: "The content of this submission includes material that does not meet Wikipedia's minimum standard for inline citations. Please cite your sources using footnotes. For instructions on how to do this, please see Referencing for beginners. Thank you."

I have referred to Wikipedia's instructions for providing citations and followed that in the subsequent submission on July 28, but that got declined as well. I am not clear why the article is getting declined every time.
