Please unblock IP address

This IP address is used on 3 different computers in a home and has been blocked on the Wikimedia Commons because one of the people using another of the computers linked to the address got a little over their head. They tried to do something about it and make an apology but nothing has gone through. Could you or another administrator who has access to the Commons unblock the IP Address there? It would be much appriciated by me! 99.226.115.81 (talk) 02:26, 12 September 2009 (UTC)

P.S. Please do not leave anything on the talk page for this IP Address! Leave any feedback you have HERE or on the COMMONS! Thanks again! 99.226.115.81 (talk) 02:26, 12 September 2009 (UTC)

I submitted your request to the other admins on Commons:Commons:Administrators' noticeboard/Blocks & protections. Sv1xv (talk) 03:10, 12 September 2009 (UTC)
THANK YOU!!! Could you please unblock it yourself using the botton provided on the talk page? if not, I will let you know how it comes through. No, I should not unblock this account before it is decided by the community. Sv1xv (talk) 04:57, 14 September 2009 (UTC)

Well, the community decided to unblock this IP on the condition that you shall create separate accounts for each user. You still cannot edit using the IP address alone. Sv1xv (talk) 04:18, 15 September 2009 (UTC)

Copyright is Fine for Image:LoranCoverage.gif

Your robot has twice (once in 2006 and just now) complained about the copyright for the image Image:LoranCoverage.gif. The people who own the website have said twice that it's fine, and I don't choose to bug them again. Please have your robot stop complaining about the image. And if you're the wrong group, please let me know and I'll apologize. Kitplane01 (talk) 03:48, 27 April 2009 (UTC)

Zendian Problem

I don't think the Zendian Problem article belongs in the WP Military History since it is a fictional exercise with no direct connection to actual military operations. It also is not a stub; the article is about as complete as it is ever going to get. — DAGwyn (talk) 23:16, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

I don't know of a reference for the Dundee Society, other than information directly from people involved who prefer not to be named. Somebody once submitted a FOIA request for information on this to NSA, but their response was that there was no (releasable) documentation about it. — DAGwyn (talk) 16:00, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for several edits

I noticed you were putting the rating template in some of the intelligence cycle articles, which I appreciate -- I never knew where to get the template. Several points did not get a yes/no -- do you feel there needs to be clarification, or additional material, before a full rating?

Thanks again for the clarification. Howard C. Berkowitz (talk) 19:59, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

Direction finding

Fully agree the information is scattered. Should there be one article that discusses all the technologies, which is then referenced by the application articles (e.g., SIGINT, search and rescue, wildlife tracking)? Admittedly, several of these have specific technologies, such as the 406 MHz EPIRB distress beacons and satellite relays. WWII HF/DF certainly has historical significance of its own, one of the key technologies being the introduction of shipboard direction finders.

For the technology, have you considered time-of-arrival interferometry as well as Doppler and phase analysis?

Picture may be misplaced in Teletype section

The Siemens T-100 is a great teleprinter but it might be out of place in the section labeled "Teletype" . Maybe it can be moved to the Telex section. I used many Siemens T-100 teleprinters in the Telex network. 73 Russ WA3FRP Wa3frp (talk) 19:06, 26 September 2008 (UTC)

Two more Super Vita ordered on 2008-09-25

In the Hellenic Navy article you added that summary to this: 5 × FACM Class Super Vita (Two more ordered in September 2008). Now I've searched the web, and I can't find anything about this. Do you happen to have a link to the article where you found this information and if possible, could you add it to the article's page? El Greco(talk) 22:09, 1 October 2008 (UTC)

Thanks. El Greco(talk) 21:33, 2 October 2008 (UTC)

Atlantic Conveyor

What is that IMO number you added? Justin talk 19:51, 6 December 2008 (UTC)

I thought it might have been something like that, do you think a wikilink to explain what it is would help a reader's understanding? Justin talk 20:26, 6 December 2008 (UTC)

Great map

Hello Sv1xv! Great find this 1903 map of Greece! It would be better though if you could upload it (since it is PD) to the Commons. Cheers, Constantine 15:18, 4 February 2009 (UTC)

Oh yes, I know some of them... Pity, it would be useful to other-language projects... Anyway, great find! Constantine 15:27, 4 February 2009 (UTC)

Hydra class warships

Hi Sv1xv, I noticed that you are admin in wikimedia, user:Iconoclast sent me a message that both three photos of the ships will be deleted if I will not verify their copyright. Is a little strange to me, a 19th century photo to have copyright issues, but I would appreciate your opinion or any suggestion about. Thanks, --Factuarius (talk) 05:10, 26 October 2009 (UTC)

In this specific case, it is not known who and when created the images (although they really old) and when they were first published. They are not on the web site of the Hellenic Navy. Even if they were, there is no evidence that they were created by the Royal Hellenic Navy. I would accept them in good faith but I cannot confirm that they are really free of copyright restrictions due to lack of evidence.

Thank you Sv1xv, I thought it when I've seen his talk page. Indeed it was not the Navy's site, now that I see it, is the Greek Army's site [1]. You can find the pictures and many other in Νεώτερη Ιστορία (1832μχ-1941μχ)/Ο Ελληνικός Στόλος όπως αυτός διεμορφώθη το 1912/. Impressive work for a Greek state site. Anyway many thanks for your help, Ι believe that even the grandchildren of the photographer would have possibly die 70 years before, but who knows. Thanks again and feel free to contact me for anything that I could help (my "speciality" is in the 1st half 20th century), --Factuarius (talk) 20:28, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
That explains much. --Factuarius (talk) 20:48, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
