Please ask for removal of the page, blanking doesn't solve the problem.Xx236 (talk) 06:52, 14 April 2016 (UTC)

Hey Xx236 (talk), I am currently writing something temporary- this genus page is for ease of use for other pages. SuperTah 06:58, 14 April 2016 (UTC)

There is probably some way (template ?) to explain this. Xx236 (talk) 07:05, 14 April 2016 (UTC)

Thank you for the notice- perhaps, however I am new to this, so any new modicums of editing would be best explicitly explained Xx236 (talk) 09:18, 14 April 2016 (UTC)

List of mammals of North America

Your edit summary here says that you think that Mexican mammals should also be included in this article. There are several different definitions of the term "North America", some excluding Mexico, some including Mexico, and some even including all of Central America. It is clear from the lede to the article that the intention is to exclude Mexican (and Central American) mammals from this list. If you want to suggest a change please bring it up on the talk page. I don't care what definition is used as long as the list is consistent with the lede. Meters (talk) 21:46, 2 May 2016 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Quaternary extinction event, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Extirpation. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

October 2017

Please do not add or change content, as you did at List of active separatist movements in Europe, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Do NOT add it back again unless you also provide a reliable source for it!Tom | Thomas.W talk 10:00, 12 October 2017 (UTC)

Hi Tom, blanking a section without either a source or edit summary is usually considered vandalism. As I resulted, I reverted the edit whilst asking for a source myself. Please try to be respectful in all future engagements, or others will not extend the same courtesy to you, as evidenced by your talk page archives. SuperTah (talk) 07:57, 18 May 2018 (UTC)

The Viking thing

Hi, sorry if I messed up the article, no editing skills. Wrt. content, I thought the unreferenced "have acquired a reputation for "rape and pillage" statement was off the mark, and googled around a bit. The only two refs with a whiff of academe did point out that the opposite was the case, and so the present claim in the article should be qualified, at least. In my own opinion, fwiw, the Vikings had such a bad rep that if rape had been part of their MO, it surely would not have gone without mention, but there seems to be little of it; possibly a case where absence of evidence might be evidence of absence :) Anyhow, keep up the good work. And sorry to disturb you at home, happy to continue any further exchanges, if required, on the talk page. T 84.208.86.134 (talk) 01:08, 6 October 2021 (UTC)

Hey T! No problemo, in fact I appreciate that you are bringing up hole in the article's research. I also appreciate that you have brought your own sources into the mix as well! I think the reason why I didn't initially engage with that line about the Vikings is because I did seem to recall Arab historians writing about Viking raids in Spain and settlements on the Volga river which did make explicit reference to sexual slavery. However that was not referenced in that article- we should definitely look into both perspectives, and I will see if I can read your sources to provide balance to those other accounts. I am always happy to receive messages here, however in regards to this specific article, perhaps due to the topic, it may be better to continue this correspondence on the article talk page :) SuperTah (talk) 01:41, 6 October 2021 (UTC)

Very good :) Did more googling, results at the Talk page. A very fine day to you. T 84.208.86.134 (talk) 08:49, 7 October 2021 (UTC)
