Please Explain the Reason why me ACC Flag was removed

Please can someone explain why Stwalkerster has removed my Account Creator Flag. Surely i can still create account from my own home. I thought it was only my IPBE flag removed here. Now my account Creator Flag is gone. Please Explain Someone. Regards [ Rhodes416 ] [Talk] 20:32, 1 December 2008 (UTC)

(edit conflicted)IPBE may be, but ACC is not IPBE. A reasonably large number of the tool admins have decided that you can no longer be trusted with the ACC side of things, and hence your access was revoked. Stwalkerstertalk ] 20:47, 1 December 2008 (UTC)
When was this decided then??? Rhodes416 ] [Talk] 20:49, 1 December 2008 (UTC)
Just before I revoked the access. Stwalkerstertalk ] 20:51, 1 December 2008 (UTC)
Well ok then. I'm sure in a few months time i will be able to Request access to the tool again. If not then that is a bit crappy of the ACC tool. I'm sorry but that really would suck badly. Regards Rhodes416 ] [Talk] 20:53, 1 December 2008 (UTC)

Please Explain why SKYROOF was removed

It appears you removed SKYROOF to SUNROOF 4/08. Failure to maintain this post and the more recent redirect promulgates TRADEMARK INFRINGEMENT by individuals who will be led to believe that the term SKYROOF and SUNROOF are interchangable. I sent you a PRIVATE EMAIL email with additional details to review and discuss. Thank You.SunroofGuy —Preceding undated comment was added at 15:49, 4 December 2008 (UTC).

Replied via email. Stwalkerstertalk ] 20:13, 4 December 2008 (UTC)
I have listed Skyroof on AFD at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Skyroof. —Lowellian (reply) 21:06, 4 December 2008 (UTC)
I did warn him that it might be listed for deletion again. Stwalkerstertalk ] 21:11, 4 December 2008 (UTC)

Additional Comments about SKYROOF: Additional content was posted to the restored listing 12/4-12/5, which appears not to have been considered prior to deletion. I was about to improve the article per your suggestions, and was unable, as it had been deleted. Skyroof is notable within the aftermarket sunroof industry and archtectural community. Both are demonstrably verifiable though industry trade history. The Internet is NOT the world's only authoritative resource. Wikipedia is loaded with insignificant and incorrect info because it is a user edited resource based on individual's personal misunderstandings. Lowellian's perspective on Skyroof is misguided and comments inappropriate, as the United States Patent and Trademark Office upheld DONMAR's right to register SKYROOF® as a unique name after a opposition before the Trademark Trial & Appeals Board. The registration is now incontestable. Further, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi, General Motors, and Nissan have both affirmed and recognized DONMAR's Skyroof trademark rights through license and/or legal settlement, including confirmatiom by Federal District and Appeals Court Judges. Any Wikipedia redirect, link or generic reference to Skyroof promulgates further confusion, inappropriately contributing to trademark infringement. Wikipedia respects legal [intellectual property] rights of copyright holders, and should be held to the same standard for registered trademarks. The term Skyroof is not found dictionaries. Inclusion of the trademark and product info in Wikipedia represents an authoritative reference to the unique aspects and history of a trademark for for both automotive and architectural products. Any incorrect Wikipedia listing, redirect or link will only promote trademark infringement. As an Admin, Lowellian should responsibly uphold Wikipedia legal and professional standards and not be swayed by personal perspective or opinion. I suspect further appeal for restoration is unlikely, however Lowellian's confusion and comments clearly demonstrate WHY SKYROOF® should be listed. Please re-open some form of Admin discussion on the basis of resulting intellectial property rights infringement. — M.L. SunroofGuy (reply) 23:45, 8 December 2008

Side-effect of your block of User talk:62.30.249.131

Ever since you blocked this IP for vandalism (an hour ago), I haven't been able to edit – even though I was logged in. Each time I tried to edit, I was offered a file "index.php" for download, but only after a very long time. I tried a lot of things, including rebooting all my equipment, but in vain. It seems that my internet provider has started to force all the customers through a transparent proxy. This explains why I had the impression that the Wikipedia servers have been lagging recently. Once I understood what is going on, I solved the problem by logging in on the secure server.

Are you aware of having checked any special option that may have led to this problem (i.e. editors from this IP address cannot edit even when logged in)? Do you know a standard place for reporting this kind of problem? Thanks. --Hans Adler (talk) 21:48, 4 December 2008 (UTC)

Sorry to hear of your troubles, but the servers have been lagging somewhat today anyway. Also, I set the option "Block anonymous users only", so this block *shouldn't* have affected you. You might want to try WP:VP/T, people there might be able to help. Regards, Stwalkerstertalk ] 22:05, 4 December 2008 (UTC)
hi, user Geeness here, and i have just tried to edit simon webbe's page, while logged out, only to be told my ip was banned! i have since logged in, and there's no problems, however i am confused as to why, if the ip 62.30.249.131 is showing as my ip, why others are somehow using it to vandalise wikipedia. now, when it comes to ip's i have no clue about them, other than i thought they were unique to me/my computer, whatever!! now, when i check my internet connection, my ip is something other than 62.30.249.131, therefore, why does this 62 number show on wikipedia as my ip, when i am not logged in? does it also show as my ip when i am logged in? sorry if i make no sense, or it seems like i am completely thick, i'm not really, i just don't understand it, as it's never been properly explained to me! like i said on 62.30.249.131 talk page, i don't vandalise wikipedia, i revert it, and i LOVE this site, and the fact i can edit here and there, so i'd never do anything to have that privilige (spelt wrong?!) taken away!! seeing as you are the one who blocked me, can you shed some light on this? thanks! Geeness (talk) 22:48, 4 December 2008 (UTC)
Don't worry, there is nothing wrong on your end. Just remember that if you ever get into my situation (you are already logged in, and you get timeouts when clicking "Save page") you should log in on the secure server. There is a link to it on the login page.
The reason why this happens is that Virgin Media is experimenting with transparent proxies. That's a trick for them to save upstream bandwidth. (If another customer has asked for the same page before, the proxy has cached it, and there is no need to go through the internet again.) A side-effect is that Wikipedia takes the proxy IP for your IP, so hundreds or thousands of users seem to have the same IP. (E.g. you in Scotland and me in Leeds.) One vandal can get everything blocked for anonymous editing.
If you are unhappy with the situation, you can complain to Virgin Media. If enough customers complain, they may undo it, like last time they tried it out. --Hans Adler (talk) 23:09, 4 December 2008 (UTC)
It's not about just saving traffic this time. UK gov forces the providers to filter out the picture for Virgin Killer...see WP:AN for details.HardDisk (talk) 02:17, 7 December 2008 (UTC)

Stwalkerster, could you please provide some insight at this entry at ANB? It concerns you too :) [Belinrahs | 'sup? | what'd I do?] 20:53, 7 December 2008 (UTC)

Reason for deletion

I'd like to know why the page for The University of Connecticut Marching Band was deleted. Sleepspeaker (talk) 06:32, 10 December 2008 (UTC)

I'm sorry, but I can't find the page you mean in the deletion logs. Please can you clarify exactly which page you mean, then you might be able to find it in the deletion log yourself, or I will try to find it again for you. Stwalkerstertalk ] 08:27, 10 December 2008 (UTC)

The question I tried to ask you

In regards to the question I tried to ask you on IRC just now before you went, don't worry about it as it probably only made sense to me and it doesn't matter. Ignore it. I would have e-mailed you but I couldn't find your e-mail address and the link in the userbox 'this user can be reached by e-mail' (or something along those lines) didn't work. I did have something else to ask you, but I cannot remember what it was. Oh well, if I do remember, I'll ask you! Thanks. Isabell121 (talk) 08:49, 10 December 2008 (UTC)

82.31.95.212

Please see the recent contribution history for 82.31.95.212 (talk · contribs) and the recent edit history for User talk:82.31.95.212. Basically, this anonymous user vandalized an article then wiped all the warnings off his page. I reverted and a small edit war ensued. I finally called a truce when he put a "helpme" on the screen, but the truce is short-lived, subject to extensions as long as he keeps convincing me he's clueless rather than malicious. When he logs off for good I intend on merging all the edits back to November or at least to the beginning of today. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 23:20, 10 December 2008 (UTC)

Society for Existential Anaylsis

Hello Stwalkrster. I've just visited the above article to find that it was deleted, I would like to have a go at writing some content for it. I wonder if you could restore what was there, perhaps to my talk page if not the article, so I could use it as a base to start from?

Thanks, Whitespace (talk) 02:32, 11 December 2008 (UTC)

Hi! I can't seem to find the deleted page. Are you sure you've given me the right title? Stwalkerstertalk ] 16:54, 11 December 2008 (UTC)

ACC tool

Hey Stwalkerster, just wondered if there was any progress on talking to the declining admin when I applied for access to the ACC tool -- I'm still definitely interesting in helping out. Thanks for all your help! [Belinrahs | 'sup? | what'd I do?] 19:31, 16 December 2008 (UTC)

I'd actually forgotten all about that! Thanks for reminding me. I've had another look, and still think you should be approved. There doesn't seem to be any consensus forming anywhere, so I'm going to grant the access. Please be careful, and read the documentation before setting off. Our IRC channel is here: irc://irc.freenode.net/#wikipedia-en-accounts . Please remember that the ACC tool is powerful, and that misuse may result in your access being suspended by a Tool Administrator. Don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions, and welcome to the ACC tool. :-) Stwalkerstertalk ] 23:26, 16 December 2008 (UTC)
Thanks mate. I'll prove to you that you made the right choice! ;) [Belinrahs | 'sup? | what'd I do?] 16:46, 17 December 2008 (UTC)

Merry Christmas card

Hey there, thanks for the merry Christmas note! :-) I really like your card's design (I made one tweak to it, adding the note about "place {{subst:User:Stwalkerster/ChristmasCard}} on somebody's talkpage"), and I'll definitely use it on others' pages to spread the cheer. Merry Christmas to yourself! JamieS93 21:40, 16 December 2008 (UTC)

stalking help?

I think I am being wikistalked, and I think by someone whose block appeal you denied. Right now it is a minor irritant but if it is a sock-puppet the person is evading the block. Could you check up on it for me or should I ask someone else? It is this single purpose (so far) account. Thanks, Slrubenstein | Talk 22:41, 16 December 2008 (UTC)

Looks like Walfulz has left a message, see how that goes. I'll keep an eye on the account for you tomorrow. Right now, I must sleep. :-) Stwalkerstertalk ] 00:03, 17 December 2008 (UTC)

I appreciate Wlfulz's message, but given that it is an SPA, I am a little skeptical. I would be pretty surprised if it isn't a sockpuppet, but if the SP of the is just to waste space on my talk page it probably isn't a big deal .... Slrubenstein | Talk 04:03, 17 December 2008 (UTC)

Persia White & IP

Just to clarify, I removed a section which consisted of a long copy and paste paragraph from a magazine article for copyright violation. The IP seems to be taking exception to this and keeps reinserting the "Help me" template to get a different answer. Wildhartlivie (talk) 23:11, 16 December 2008 (UTC)
