Hello there, I would like to contribute to wikipedia. It's a part of my certificate course. I am a 'Christite'.

Decline reason: Procedural decline: The autoblock has expired on its own. You should be able to edit. Huon (talk) 17:58, 28 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

@Bbb23: To me this does look like a group of editors taking the same "certificate course" and trying the same kinds of test edits on similarly-named user sub-pages. Since they're effectively checkuser-blocked, could you take another look, please? I don't see anything abusive here, and I don't think we should block an entire classroom for trying to learn Wikipedia. Huon (talk) 18:04, 26 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
@Huon: I've been off-wiki for a few days. It looks like the autoblock has expired, but what is a Christite and what exactly do their test edits, which are silly at best, have to do with their "certificate course"? Thanks.--Bbb23 (talk) 12:47, 28 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
@Bbb23: Apparently a Christite is a student at Christ University, presumably this Christ University. I would assume those test edits were part of a course on "how to edit a wiki, step 1". I can imagine that a class being taught something like "Type, Mahatma Gandhi was an Indian leader. Now edit it again and make it some other name. Now edit it again and add a second line about an Indian movie of your choice..." would result in what we see here, multiple accounts in the same location making the same kinds of edits in parallel. Now that's not how I would try to teach editing Wikipedia, but it seems more plausible than any other explanation I can think of. Huon (talk) 17:58, 28 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
@Huon: Huh. At least the CU subpages doesn't mean CheckUser. :-) The location the accounts are editing from supports your analysis and conclusion. It's a CheckUser block, but if you're comfortable unblocking them all, you have my permission.--Bbb23 (talk) 18:12, 28 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
OK, done. Huon (talk) 19:43, 28 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
