23:54:31, 5 November 2014 review of submission by Victoria Anne Robinson
Good evening! I hope this message finds you well. I am unclear as to why my submission was denied. There are several other current Wikipedia pages with information on music groups and record labels. I would like to request information as to why it was rejected and how I can make the necessary changes to get the page published. Thank you so much for your time!
Victoria Anne Robinson (talk) 23:54, 5 November 2014 (UTC)
- @Victoria Anne Robinson: Articles on Wikipedia are governed by certain rules and regulation which is known as policy in technical term. The basics are -
- notability - Says your article should be notable.
- verifiability - Says facts and information should be verifiable.
But in current state your draft is not ready for the mainspace article the reason behind is the formating of your article does not meets the Wikipedia's standards, you are requested to have a look at the easy writing better articles this will ɡʌɪd you smoothly in formating and referencing your article. — CutestPenguinHangout 20:12, 6 November 2014 (UTC)
Dear Cutest Penguin, I hope you don't me requesting help on your talkpage about an Article that was declined. I would really appreciate your assistance and I will endeavour to make the correct changes. Can I just ask, what are the 'external links' that need to be removed? Also, in terms of notability, as a co-writer alone (as a 'COMPOSER') I think the subject might qualify under the 'Criteria for composers and lyricists': "Has credit for writing or co-writing either lyrics or music for a notable composition". The subject co-wrote a very well-known song called 'Better' which has its own Wikipedia entry (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Better_(Tom_Baxter_song)) and which has been covered by a lot of artists most recently this year by Englebert Humperdink. Other songs he has co-writien (including 'Better') have charted in several different countries and have received heavy A-list radio rotation. Any help or guidance would be gratefully received. Many thanks.HKatharine (talk) 17:39, 6 November 2014 (UTC)
- @HKatharine: Article require proper citing, you can see Citing sources for more assistance as well as it is requested that while citing the article please ensure that the references should be from independent sources. Cheers! — CutestPenguinHangout 20:10, 6 November 2014 (UTC)
Thank you very much for getting back to me. I will look at both those help pages! HKatharine (talk) 21:37, 6 November 2014 (UTC)

03:31:16, 10 November 2014 review of submission by Lwill74
Hello,
I have resubmitted my article on blues artist Dexter Allen: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Dexter_Allen. I have added more references, and here is a Google search on him as well: https://www.google.com/search?q=dexter+allen+blues+band. Thanks! Lwill74 (talk) 03:31, 10 November 2014 (UTC)
Thanks For Accepting The Article
Cutest Penguin thanks for accepting the article titled National Cyber Coordination Centre. I really appreciate the hardwork and commitment of you and your fellow reviewers.
02:10:53, 7 November 2014 review of submission by Dkoper
Requesting a re-review as I believe I have addressed your feedback in "Things to be done".
(This is my first time to use a talk page, apologies in advance if I'm not doing this right)
Thank you very much for your super-quick review of my submission. I read about the backlog so I understand how fortunate I am with the speedy feedback. Also thank you for introducing me to the Earwig tool. I have used it to address the copyvio issues: there were 4 issues of >50%, now none over 50%. I have also removed direct references to DMTF material and added references to external sources to improve notability. I have also made some other (related) improvements based on feedback on irc. I have re-submitted the article for re-review. I understand it doesn't have to be the same person to do a re-review, and I cannot expect the re-review to occur so soon again, but as you've read it before it may take you less effort hence this message to bring it to your attention. Cheers!
Dkoper (talk) 02:10, 7 November 2014 (UTC)
- @Dkoper: The article still require to maintain neutral point of view as well as reliable and independent sources will be appreciated. — CutestPenguinHangout 06:50, 9 November 2014 (UTC)
- Could you be more specific? Which section is not neutral? Also, the current reason for declining the submission is Notability. I read that "Notability guidelines do not apply to content within an article", hence neutrality would be a separate issue to address. How far am I in proving Notability? Can you help? I believe at least the following references I included are reliable and independent sources: GCN (2nd source), Apress book (4th source), Bloor (6th source) and IEEE (9th source). Why are these not acceptable and sufficient? Cheers. Dkoper (talk) 08:01, 10 November 2014 (UTC)
