Simple English Wikipedia - Coming a Sysop

How can i come to be a Sysop (Administrator) on Simple English Wikipedia?

Thanks, Vitorbraziledit (talk) 03:18, 12 January 2009 (UTC)

Please see simple:Wikipedia:Criteria for administratorship. Basically, you have to be an active contributer to the project for several months and you have to be a generally trusted user to the community. — RyanCross (talk) 03:24, 12 January 2009 (UTC)

My User Talk Page

Hey Ryan, do you still recreate user pages? My user talk page is really drab. I was wondering if you could..."make it hip"...modernize it? If your busy, it's OK. Best. I'm still loving my user page BTW. — Realist2 03:42, 12 January 2009 (UTC)

I'm not as active with redeisgning pages as before, but I'll try to fit some time into it. Give me a while. And that's good that you still like my old design I made for you. :-) — RyanCross (talk) 06:24, 12 January 2009 (UTC)
Cheers :D — Realist2 06:26, 12 January 2009 (UTC)

Admin coaching

Hey brother, got a fat favour to ask. Could you, coach, guide, prep me for becoming an admin? Please? I know it takes months and the like, BUT, I am willing to do most anything. Hope you're well. Will Thompson (talk) 03:28, 18 January 2009 (UTC)

No, I don't do admin coaching, 1) because I'm not an administrator for English Wikipedia, and 2) I don't have the experience as one here. If you're looking for a coach, please see WP:ADMINCOACH. You've probably mistaken me for an admin here. I should really make note that I'm not an admin here on English Wikipedia on my user page... — RyanCross (talk) 04:31, 18 January 2009 (UTC)

DYK for T.I.'s Road To Redemption

On January 29, 2009, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article T.I.'s Road To Redemption, which you created or substantially expanded. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page.

Proposed deletion of Prisoner Ball

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Prisoner Ball, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

The subject doesn't appear to be notable. The only reference is a short description on a site that provides definitions for children's slang, and the material on Wikipedia describes an entirely different game than that source. Googling "prisoner ball" game gets mostly Wikipedia mirrors/forks on the first page, followed by forums and P.E. class guides from school websites. I posted this to the talk page two weeks ago and got no response.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Jomasecu talk contribs 23:12, 30 January 2009 (UTC)

Wow, I created that nearly a year ago. I didn't know what was notable and what wasn't back then, so yeah, I agree with your proposal for deletion. Go ahead with it. — RyanCross (talk) 02:59, 31 January 2009 (UTC)

thank you

My RFA passed today at 150/48/6. I wanted to thank you for weighing in, and I wanted to let you know I appreciated all of the comments, advice, criticism, and seriously took it all to heart this past week. Battery (baseball)

Hi, Ryan. :-)

I see that someone has drastically shortened this article. I would just like to suggest that you check whether all the information that was in the article about pitchers has been included in the pitcher article, and the same re catcher. I think you can do that better than me because I think you've edited a lot of baseball articles. Just a suggestion. Coppertwig (talk) 20:45, 1 February 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for the suggestion. I don't know if I'll do that now, but I'll try. I'm not as active on this project anymore than I used to be. — RyanCross (talk) 22:35, 1 February 2009 (UTC)

The "Trading Spaces" seems to be inactive; backlog's a year old or so. What's the status? Resident Mario (talk) 00:23, 9 February 2009 (UTC)

I used to be active there. In fact, I used to be active on this Wikipedia, but I'm slowly drifting away from it... the design center is not really running anymore, but it's still there... — RyanCross (talk) 08:35, 9 February 2009 (UTC)

I could help clear backlog; half of the users had their last edit long ago. Resident Mario (talk) 20:26, 12 February 2009 (UTC)

Hi there, I noticed that none of the links generated by the template are working. I don't know if that's a problem with THOMAS, if they changed things, or the template. Would you be able to check it out? ~PescoSo saywe all 17:14, 15 February 2009 (UTC)
