Hello, please note Wikipedia:Weblinks. --Serols (talk) 17:54, 26 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

July 2021 edit

  Hi Roselyn jordan! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Khaleed that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia – it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. David Biddulph (talk) 19:50, 26 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

I have corrected all my mistakes the page is good to go out but the article Is up for deletion can you help me with that David? Roselyn jordan (talk) 10:56, 27 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

  Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion pages, as you did with Khaleed. Doing so won't stop the discussion from taking place. You are, however, welcome to comment about the proposed deletion on the appropriate page. AngryHarpy‍talk 19:02, 30 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

Objection for Article Deletion edit

The Article I Wrote for Khaleed has been voted for deletion I have checked all the errors made and I have corrected all but the article deletion warning is still written there

I appeal for it to be removed so the Article I wrote and edited can be fully shown on all search engine when searched for imediately.

It is not voted for deletion; rather, it is nominated for deletion. Editors, including you, can make a case for Keep or Delete (each editor doing that only once). After 7-10 days, an Administrator will look at the statements and the article, and make a decision. You should make a statement at the deletion discussion and also try to improve the article - specifically - addressing the Delete comments. Asking at Teahouse and asking on your own Talk page and asking on the article's Talk page are of no use. All that matters is the deletion discussion and fixing the article. David notMD (talk) 12:53, 27 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
Thanks a lot please you tell me a way in fixing this article Roselyn jordan (talk) 13:16, 27 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
Specifically, you should address the Delete comments. Find reliable sources showing that he is a notable musician.--Quisqualis (talk) 01:13, 28 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

Article Deletion Objection edit

This Article "https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/khaleed" Is a notable Musical Artiste and with all the edit we have made I believe this Article I wrote should not be up for deletion.

Please read WP:No amount of editing can overcome a lack of notability. PS: Who is "we"?--Quisqualis (talk) 01:19, 28 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

Managing a conflict of interest edit

  Hello, Roselyn jordan. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Khaleed, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. bonadea contributions talk 12:44, 27 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

no hyperlinks in article edit

Hyperlinks not allowed in text of article. All reverted. Useful sources need to be added as references. Also, you have been asked to declare (or deny) being paid or having a personal connection to K, on your User page, before doing any more editing. David notMD (talk) 14:39, 27 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

I wasn’t paid or even related to Khaleed I understand about the Wikipedia guidelines I’m only working on my self trying to be a very good Wikipedian Roselyn jordan (talk) 14:42, 27 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

The user who created the article Khaleed said, two days ago: This user is a musical artiste and songwriter and my team will love to use this medium to share his works to the world. And you have said, several times, that you wrote the article. It is clear that there is some connection, but as long as you are upfront about it, it doesn't have to be a problem. Regards, --bonadea contributions talk 16:19, 27 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

No I only meant the person I was editing the work for is an artist not me Thanks bonadea Roselyn jordan (talk) 16:30, 27 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

Reinforcing what David notMD said in the first paragraph of this section, you need to understand the difference between external links (which aren't allowed in the body text of an article) and properly cited references (which are needed to support the text and to demonstrate the notability of the subject). --David Biddulph (talk) 16:50, 27 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

You said "I only meant the person I was editing the work for", which would also suggest you have some sort of connection to Khaleed. As Bonadea said, this is fine as long as you are upfront about it. You also seem very interested in the article not being deleted so it will show up in search engines, presumably for Khaleed's fans; that's a promotional purpose. Wikipedia is not concerned with enhancing search results. 331dot (talk) 07:09, 28 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

Notability and sources for music topics edit

Wikipedia requires that all topics for articles be notable enough for inclusion. This means that the article's subject must have already received significant coverage in multiple reliable, independent sources. If the subject hasn't received sufficient quantity and quality of coverage, then it cannot have an article. In the case of musicians, specific criteria are found at Wikipedia:Notability (music).

Wikipedia requires that article content is backed up by citations to reliable independent sources. A reliable source is defined as a source with an established reputation for fact-checking and editorial oversight. An independent source is a source that has no connection or vested interest in the topic being discussed.

A primary source is a source that is published by the subject of the article. While it can be used to confirm basic facts and figures (e.g. name, date of birth, education, etc.), it cannot establish the subject as notable.

Self-published sources are defined as sources where a person posts their own content. There is no editorial review process; and if the person is writing about themselves, no independence. This means that in almost all cases, social media sites (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.) are automatically disqualified. This also disqualifies blogs, message forums, and other wiki sites - even Wikipedia itself cannot be used as a source.

Links to pages of results from search engines like Google or Bing are equally unhelpful, as it does not directly verify the content. They won't be counted as reliable either, so please don't use them anymore.

Wikipedia:WikiProject Albums/Sources is a good place to find a list of commonly used sources for music topics, and see which ones have been evaluated as acceptable or unacceptable sources. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 17:46, 27 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Energy The Ep edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Energy The Ep requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a musical recording which does not indicate why its subject is important or significant, and where the artist's article does not exist or is eligible for deletion itself. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for music.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.
