June 2022 edit

Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Megadeth, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use your sandbox for that. Thank you. 4TheWynne (talk contribs) 13:20, 11 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Patient Zero. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Lead Belly seemed less than neutral to me, so I removed it for now. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Patient Zerotalk 18:46, 26 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

BoJo's status edit

Will you please stop messing up pages related to Boris Johnson? He's still the UK prime minister & still the leader of the Conservative Party, until October 2022. GoodDay (talk) 17:05, 7 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

No he is Acting Leader of the Conservative Party. If the leader of the party resigns he becomes acting leader during the process to select a successor. Rickenbacker4003S (talk) 17:56, 7 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

He hasn't immediately resigned as party leader. His resignation doesn't take effect, until his successor is chosen. GoodDay (talk) 19:25, 7 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

You clearly don't understand how it works. As soon as you resign as party leader you become ACTING LEADER until the party selects the successor. Rickenbacker4003S (talk) 20:31, 7 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Nope. GoodDay (talk) 03:21, 8 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Yes. He is Acting leader. Rickenbacker4003S (talk) 08:44, 8 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

July 2022 edit

Hello, I'm Serge, an Admin here on Wikipedia. Please always use a reliable source every time you add content to Wikipedia. If you need help with that, please check out WP:REFB, but this is not optional - if you keep adding unsourced content, your account will be blocked from editing. Thanks. Sergecross73 msg me 21:25, 14 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

What unsourced content? Rickenbacker4003S (talk) 23:19, 14 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Every edit you made related to Static-X today. Sergecross73 msg me 23:30, 14 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

The actual album liner notes aren't a source? Edsel is literally listed in there. Rickenbacker4003S (talk) 23:32, 14 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Not only did you not cite that, but I find it hard to believe that it's been a point of contention for the last year or so if it was truly outlined like that. Regardless, cite your sources, full stop. Sergecross73 msg me 00:49, 15 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Well you obviously didn't read what I wrote as I clearly mentioned about the liner notes. Rickenbacker4003S (talk) 16:54, 15 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

There's a difference between "citing a source" and just writing something about it in the prose of an article. Again, see WP:REFB if you need help understanding what you failed to do and what you need to do moving forward.
That said, I don't believe the liner notes directly states that Edsel Dope is Xero, so that's not going to be a good enough source even if you did bother to properly cite it. Sergecross73 msg me 17:53, 15 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

I fail to see the difference. Rickenbacker4003S (talk) 17:54, 15 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Welp, take some time to figure it out. Unless you plan on spending all your time doing things like tweaking grammar or removing content, you're going to need to figure it out, as it's required any time you add or change any new content to Wikipedia. Ignoring this and adding content without adding sources is a sure-fire trip to getting your account blocked. Sergecross73 msg me 18:36, 15 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

We'll agree to disagree. Rickenbacker4003S (talk) 21:26, 15 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

I've already explained the stakes. You have been informed what happens to people who don't use sources on Wikipedia. The rest is up to you. Sergecross73 msg me 23:48, 15 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Blocked edit

Due to continued adding of content without a source, you are blocked from editing for 2 days. Should you return after your block, please follow the warnings you've already received about adding sources. Thanks. Sergecross73 msg me 19:15, 20 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

We have already been through this. I stated it was in the album liner notes therefore it was a sourced claim. Rickenbacker4003S (talk) 19:16, 20 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
We certainly have been through this - that is not sufficient. I was very clear on that. There was also your edits on Pantera, which changed content with providing a source. Sergecross73 msg me 19:24, 20 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
