Signature Customization
I am eager to customize my signature in a fashion similar to yours. I have located the script you use at User:Quarl/advanced_sig.js. A short Esperanzial update
As you may have gathered, discussions have been raging for about a week on the Esperanza talk page as to the future direction of Esperanza. Some of these are still ongoing and warrant more input (such as the idea to scrap the members list altogether). However, some decisions have been made and the charter has hence been amended. See what happened. Basically, the whole leadership has had a reshuffle, so please review the new, improved charter.
As a result, we are electing 4 people this month. They will replace JoanneB and Pschemp and form a new tranche A, serving until December. Elections will begin on 2006-07-02 and last until 2006-07-09. If you wish to run for a Council position, add your name to the list before 2006-07-02. For more details, see Wikipedia:Esperanza/June 2006 elections.

Dear Admin,
Thank you for your message. I am aware that Wikipedia is not a marketing platform and I absolutely agree to modify the texts to a wording which fully complies with the NPOV policy.
In the present circumstances, I have several times agreed with the modifications proposed by Brianyoumans and changed the page accordingly. But each time, the agreed modifications themselves were removed again the next day. Which makes me wonder about his actual goal. Secondly some proposals from Brianyoumans can not be seriously accepted :
- for instance, to say that the word "Fine" written between two quotes is non-neutral. This assertion fails to take into account
1/ firstly the fact that Fine is the official French word for a certain type of quality and 2/ secondly the fact that consequently the word is cited between quotes;
- furthermore it is not consistent with Brianyoumans later request to expand / detail the article with different product varieties.
A minimum knowledge of brandies/spirits world would avoid such a confusion.
The neutral facts are that Charles de Granville Calvados is a very old Calvados famous in the whole word and repeatedly selected by some of the most pretigious places and restaurants worldwide. Another neutral fact is that it is one of the very few Calvados with a Web site translated in more than 5 different languages.
Concerning the links repeatedly deleted by Brianyoumans, we believe they should stay also because they are relevant; indeed they are not only dealing with spirits but more precisely with the brandy category and secondly because they are produced by the same company. Again I have only taken example from plenty other existing pages in Wikipedia; for example the Remy Martin page has a link to Cointreau : both products are quite different but they are produced by the same company...
Please understand that I intend to be a fair contributor, loyal to the Wikipedia philosophy.
Brianyoumans proposed to write a more detailed article for that page : I agree. But so far I could see that he only deleted everything, including jointly agreed modifications.

Thanks for deleting it. I was fulfilling a request for an article, realized wiktionary was the only possible home, and put it there. Way to be with quick work; happy editing! Teke 02:12, 29 June 2006 (UTC)
