When moving articles, please watch the spelling. You recently moved "List of 1998 Nashville tornado outbreak tornadoes" to List of 1998 Nashville, Tennesse tornado outbreak tornadoes, in which "Tennessee" is mis-spelled. "Comma-City" is the appropriate disambiguator if the topic is a neighborhood within a city; "comma-state" is appropriate if the topic is a city or town in its own right. "White City, Tulsa" thus isn't in any conflict with what Prisencolinensinainciusol did — I'm not going to offer an opinion one way or the other on the appropriateness of the page moves, but a neighborhood within Tulsa doesn't have anything to do with the question one way or the other. ...which is why I was questioning the moves. Neighborhoods are not the same as counties or populated places in terms of naming conventions. Where is it stated that "Comma-City" is appropriate for neighborhoods within a city? Having said that -- I'm not particularly invested in neighborhood articles. USPLACE says "Neighborhoods within New York City are identified by the standard neighborhood, borough". Along with other people who have named articles I'm interpreting "borough" to be equivalent to cities, after all every borough was an independent city and are still incorporated municipalities. Yes, that's New York City. You're saying a borough is equivalent to a city? As for the moves I reverted, it was all the county moves you did that removed the state from the title. This is the point I'm trying to make. You say you are fixing the articles; but you're not using any guideline or discussion to support that. Before doing a lot of moves, consider discussing it first. Category changes

Hi, I noticed that you have made a few good faith attempts to rename categories. Although a recent change in the Wikimedia software now means that the software does not stop you moving category pages, it is still necessary in English Wikipedia to use the process at WP:CFD.

You moved Category:Georgia (country) to a new name, and were then apparently unable to move it back. You then put a redirect at the top, but that was of no effect. I've now reinstated that one for you. If you make any other mistakes that you can't fix, please ask for help, e.g. at WP:Village pump.

You made a proposal to move various US city categories at Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Log/2015 June 10, but you didn't tag the pages or come back to explain or discuss it, so I have closed it now.

You also moved Category:United States Navy Buffalo-related ships to Category:United States Navy Buffalo, New York-related ships and moved most of the contents, but you left the redirect USS Buffalo (CL-99) in the old category. UND

The University of North Dakota has no team name. It matters not whether it is "official" or not, the school's athletic teams have no team name. One could claim that the decision of the North Dakota State Board of Higher Education ordering the University's discontinuation of the Fighting Sioux nickname made the lack of a nickname "official." However, this order came only after decades of controversy, a state-wide vote favoring the elimination of the nickname, and the threat of sanctions from the NCAA. Whatever the case, just as in real life, the issue here in the Wikipedia has fairly well been beaten to death. There was much discussion and cross-editing at the time of the matter, and the conclusion was long ago reached that the only necessary fact is that the University of North Dakota has no team name. (In case you are wondering, I had no part in those discussions and only became aware of them after I used the phrase, "no official nickname" and was informed by two different parties that all that need be said is that the University of North Dakota has no team name. ) GWFrog (talk) 02:20, 24 June 2015 (UTC)

It's still referred to by fans and some media outlets as the Fighting Sioux, and besides the team was known by that for so many years that it's a part of the history. Wikipedia is not official so it doesn't matter what UND the NCAA or whatever organization says, the team has a nickname, just not an official. Counter Logic Gaming

Please stop editing this page in a way that goes against Wikipedia's guidelines. You make totally partisan decisions such as removing League of Legends from the main body of the article, removing CLG Black from the roster list, and putting a totally arbitrary emphasis on League of Legends in the article. You're changing things that don't need to be changed in a way that removes information. Your roster table that you questioned the removal of is at odds with how the roster of every single major eSports organization is presented on Wikipedia. Do some research and stop editing ignorantly. CLG LoL should be emphasized to an extent because it's the most notable of all the teams and League of Legends is by far the most popular spectator eSport. Emphasizing something else puts undue weight. Similarly the article on FC Barcelona really only refers to the soccer team because that's the most notable team under the FC Barcelona banner. I mean CLG was covered on ESPN; no other CLG squad has had that kind of mainstream exposure. Some of the other changes you described were actually mistakes, sorry about that. WikiCup 2015 September newsletter

The finals for the 2015 Wikicup has now begun! Congrats to the 8 contestants who have survived to the finals, and well done and thanks to everyone who took part in rounds 3 and 4.

In round 3, we had a three-way tie for qualification among the wildcard contestants, so we had 34 competitors. The leader was by far Casliber (submissions) in Group B, who earned 1496 points. Although 913 of these points were bonus points, he submitted 15 articles in the DYK category. Second place overall was Coemgenus (submissions) at 864 points, who although submitted just 2 FAs for 400 points, earned double that amount for those articles in bonus points. Everyone who moved forward to Round 4 earned at least 100 points.

The scores required to move onto the semifinals were impressive; the lowest scorer to move onto the finals was 407, making this year's Wikicup as competitive as it's always been. Our finalists, ordered by round 4 score, are:

1. Cas Liber (submissions), who is competing in his sixth consecutive Wikicup final, again finished the round in first place, with an impressive 1666 points in Pool B. Casliber writes about the natural sciences, including ornithology, botany and astronomy. A large bulk of his points this round were bonus points.
2. Godot13 (submissions) (FP bonus points), second place both in Pool B and overall, earned the bulk of his points with FPs, mostly depicting currency.
3. Cwmhiraeth (submissions), first in Pool A, came in third. His specialty is natural science articles; in Round 4, he mostly submitted articles about insects and botany. Five out of the six of the GAs he submitted were level-4 vital articles.
4. Harrias (submissions), second in Pool A, took fourth overall. He tends to focus on articles about cricket and military history, specifically the 1640s First English Civil War.
5. West Virginian (submissions), from Pool A, was our highest-scoring wildcard. West Virginia tends to focus on articles about the history of (what for it!) the U.S. state of West Virginia.
6. Rodw (submissions), from Pool A, likes to work on articles about British geography and places. Most of his points this round were earned from two impressive accomplishments: a GT about Scheduled monuments in Somerset and a FT about English Heritage properties in Somerset.
7. Rationalobserver (submissions), from Pool B, came in seventh overall. RO earned the majority of her points from GARs and PRs, many of which were earned in the final hours of the round.
8. Calvin999 (submissions), also from Pool B, who was competing with RO for the final two spots in the final hours, takes the race for most GARs and PRs—48.

The intense competition between RO and Calvin999 will continue into the finals. They're both eligible for the Newcomers Trophy, given for the first time in the Wikicup; whoever makes the most points will win it.

Mainspacing the article is your way of saying you think it meets notability guidelines. The point of a COI editor asking someone else to do it is to have another editor's discretion. I know him personally so I thought it best not to move it to mainspace myself, however sources do suggest some notability. Grantland and The Smash Brothers do cover him extensively with an entire episode dedicated to him. Up to you. @Czar: There are two other sources from MLG which cover him I believe they may be found under waybackmachine, sources are no longer on their website. My note was just to encourage P not to mainspace an article that they're not comfortable with. The article's current sourcing is no bueno. It should use vetted video game reliable sources if possible. Shoryuken is not a reliable source. Goldper10 is definitely not ("I'm not a big name or anything like that. I'm just somebody like any other content creator.") And the PR report should only be used as a self-published source, not to demonstrate external notability. Also the "greatest of all time" claim in the first sentence isn't even substantiated by its sources. It's not ready. – czar 23:58, 6 September 2015 (UTC)

I didn't want to contact you while the discussions were going on for fear of being accused of WP:CANVASS. But the deletionists have already had their way and deleted almost everything. I guess it is now up to people like you and me to build it up. I had my say at Talk:District 4-5A (LHSAA). You should also see User talk:Alakzi#Template:Louisiana High School Athletic Association. As you can see they deleted it on the grounds that it was all red links. Alakzi restored the original template in question to

So we need to create the links, which I started and then almost immediately had that content deleted. I had it restored to:

• User:Trackinfo/District 8-5A (LHSAA)
• User:Trackinfo/District 7-5A (LHSAA)

• User:Trackinfo/District 5-5A (LHSAA)
• User:Trackinfo/District 3-5A (LHSAA)

I'll put those back when they have some additional sources. I guess District 4 will be a good guinea pig to see how much of a fight we have on our hands. By the way, in that process I discovered somebody else had already created all or many of the links, so it was a wholesale effort to wipe all of that person's work out that turned those links red. Whoever this deletionist faction is, they are trying to establish a precedent to wipe out all of this kind of content, which might eventually include all the other content you and I have already created. We need to establish the opposite precedent that there is significant coverage for all of this content. That it is notable. Mappers is very useful to getting the league structure correct and sourced. Now the question upon us is to find journalistic coverage of these leagues. I'd rather not spend my time googling every league in the US but until they stop successfully deleting this kind of content, we will have to keep slapping them in the face with the coverage that is there.
