February 2018 edit

  Hello, Prashant Wankhed, welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. Your editing pattern indicates that you may be using multiple accounts or coordinating editing with people outside Wikipedia, such as RajDlitaP (talk · contribs). Our policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow this, and users who use multiple accounts may be blocked from editing. If you operate multiple accounts directly or with the help of another person, please disclose these connections. Thank you. GSS (talk|c|em) 18:40, 8 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

Links in articles edit

Generally speaking, a Wikipedia article should have a link to another article only if that second article has content which is likely to help a reader of the first one to better understand it, or to give further information relating to its subject. A link should not be introduced to an article which is irrelevant just because there is a mention of its subject. For example, linking from the article Sunil Gavaskar to December serves no useful purpose at all: the article December contains no information at all about Sunil Gavaskar, nor are readers of the article likely to need to follow such a link in order to find out what "December" means. There are many other similarly unhelpful links that you have created. Not only are irrelevant links unhelpful, but they can actually be harmful, as they often make it difficult for readers to know which links are relevant and which aren't, resulting in wasting time checking links that turn out to be irrelevant. Possible conflict of interest edit

  Hello, Prashant Wankhed. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. Editing for the purpose of advertising or promotion is not permitted. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID). The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 12:57, 10 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

JamesBWatson, The details on File:Nihal Kirnalli.jpg, where the source is given as "Own work" and the author is identified as Nihal Kirnalli, suggest the article Nihal Kirnalli is actually an autobiography. Cabayi (talk) 14:38, 10 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

  Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, but it appears you have written or added to an article about yourself. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. Other accounts edit

Have you used any other accounts other than this one? If so, can you please say exactly what accounts you have used, and if not then please say what connection you have to the people using other accounts which have edited in collaboration with you. Prashant Wankhed (talk) 08:09, 11 February 2018 (UTC) JamesBWatson, I had 2 accounts before. One is this one and the other was User:RajDlitaP. But, I was told that it is against wikipedia policy to use 2 accounts. So, I stopped using the other one.Reply

Can you also please disclose your relation with Nihal Kirnalli (if any). Thank you – GSS (talk|c|em) 09:10, 11 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

Prashant Wankhed (talk) 09:20, 11 February 2018 (UTC) GSS(talk|c|em), I do not know him personally. But he is an emerging youth Activist as he is working on issues related to unemployment and wrongful education policies within my state. I have never met him as he lives in Solapur. I am from Pune, Maharashtra.Reply

Thank you for giving a partial answer to my question. However, it is certainly not a complete answer. For example, you have made no attempt to say what your connection is to the accounts Nikhiljindam and Xtreme7RD. please do so, and also any other accounts that you have failed to mention. I would also like to know why you used the account RajDlitaP as well as this one, and why you used the two accounts in ways which looked as though you were trying to give the impression of being two different people. Also, since you have never met Nihal Kirnalli, please explain how you came to upload a photograph of him to Wikimedia commons which you stated was your own work. I find it difficult to understand how you took that photograph of him without meeting him. The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 09:31, 11 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

Prashant Wankhed (talk) 09:56, 11 February 2018 (UTC)JamesBWatson, I am new to Wikipedia editing. I did not have a image of him so I downloaded it from his Website and cropped it to proper size and used it. I am new, I dont know where to get the licence for image. So I wrote my name as the author. And speaking about other accounts, RajDlitaP is my friends account that I asked help from I was not aware about the wikipedia policies. Now, I stopped using it after I was told. I am not sure who is NikhilJidnam or Xtreme7RD. How would I possibly have made an attempt to comment on them if I do not know who they are. Thank You.Reply

With your guidance, I would also like to know how to get the Image licensed. Thank You.

and how you get to know when the picture was captured? as the description reads "This image was captured on 18th April 2016." GSS (talk|c|em) 10:22, 11 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

GSS (talk|c|em), Sorry I think I made a mistake. It is actually 17th April 2016. It is in the properties of the image. After download, I right clicked and opened the properties. There is showed. I guess, I mistyped 18 instead of 17.

February 2018 edit

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for abusing multiple accounts. Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Bbb23 (talk) 15:46, 11 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

If Bbb23 had not blocked you I would have done. It is totally implausible that you don't know who Nikhiljindam and Xtreme7RD are, for reasons which I will not spell out as doing so would merely help you to know what signs to avoid if you try to get away with abusing multiple accounts in the future. When we add to that the various other pieces of dishonesty you have shown, such as claiming that you took a photograph of someone and then claiming that you had never met him and had copied the photograph from another web site, claiming to be the copyright owner of the photograph and then claiming to have merely copied it from another web site, etc, and it is perfectly clear that you cannot be trusted.
