Speedy deletion nomination of Category:GeoTemplates

A tag has been placed on Category:GeoTemplates indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. Liz Read! Talk! 01:39, 11 September 2024 (UTC)

Pings

Just as an FYI, <this> also doesn't work - per WP:PINGFIX (and somewhere else that I'm not finding right now), pings only work if the edit adds new lines with the ping and does not remove or alter other lines. Besides the solutions in that page for fixing pings, you can also just "fix" the ping and ping them for real in your edit summary (though some people have that disabled, and that might link to the revision instead of the comment itself). – 2804:F1...EE:9927 (talk) 19:21, 11 September 2024 (UTC)

Clarifying here

I am messaging you here to avoid cluttering the Teahouse. I was not directing my message to you, but to the IP user. Perhaps, my conversation indent implied I was responding to you. I was simoply indenting to make the conversation more linear/readable. Apologies for any confusion. 13:53, 16 September 2024 (UTC) ~ 🦝 Shushugah (he/him • talk) 13:53, 16 September 2024 (UTC)

I wasn't confused; my question was rhetorical. Please use indentation to indicate levels of reply, not for "neatness", per Wikipedia:Indentation. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 13:57, 16 September 2024 (UTC)

Changing a name on a page

Hi,

I am trying to correct a name on the page Mary Ann Weathers but not sure how to do this.

Need your help.

Thanks. Liberationfemale (talk) 14:56, 15 September 2024 (UTC)

Mary Ann Weathers page

I added as an external source the fact that the article, "An Argument for Black Women's Liberation as a Revolutionary Force" is also available in my book, "Inside the Second Wave of Feminism."

Do I need to do anything else?

Thanks. Liberationfemale (talk) 17:34, 17 September 2024 (UTC)

Edits made on the Cell 16 page

I made two different edits on the Cell 16 page two days ago. One was a quote from a book by Roxanne Dunbar-Ortiz and the other was adding her and my books as external sources.

Not sure what happened and what I am doing wrong.

Please assist.

Thanks. Liberationfemale (talk) 17:32, 17 September 2024 (UTC)

@Liberationfemale: There have been no edits to Cell 16 in September. Did you perhaps forget to publish your changes? Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 18:45, 17 September 2024 (UTC)
I just re-submitted my changes and hit "Publish changes."
Hope this takes.

Okay. I just submitted another change and hit publish changes.
What am I doing wrong? Liberationfemale (talk) 15:37, 19 September 2024 (UTC)

Horizon and The Rocket

FYI, I was just listening to Gangsters (song) and this led me to start the article for Horizon Studios. I'm not planning to do much more so you might want to keep an eye on it as it's in your patch. Andrew🐉(talk) 20:57, 28 September 2024 (UTC)

About the Cardington page.

Hello, I am 94.194.31.200. I'd like to apologise for my poor source of citing to the Cardington page. I thought it would be fine to use Wikipedia as a reliable source, as the cite note leading to the Cardington Airfield page had already been edited by me to show that Eastcotts was no longer a civil parish anymore. I struggled to find a source outside of Wikipedia about the Eastcotts abolishment. I now understand and I am going to try harder to find a source outside of Wikipedia. Thank you. 2A02:C7C:6D8A:6A00:6405:CC20:823A:2313 (talk) 15:17, 29 September 2024 (UTC)

Quick note: my IP keeps changing so keep note of that 😂 2A02:C7C:6D8A:6A00:6405:CC20:823A:2313 (talk) 15:17, 29 September 2024 (UTC)
No problem; we all had to learn to edit from scratch. The IP issue is best resolved by creating and using an account - which can be entirely pseudonymous, and which gives you additional editing privileges and access to tools. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 15:21, 29 September 2024 (UTC)
Thanks man, but I've checked every single IP this tablet gives me, and none of them are where i live! (But you gotta feel sorry for who lives at these places) 2A02:C7C:6D8A:6A00:6405:CC20:823A:2313 (talk) 15:31, 29 September 2024 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Category:Years of the 9th century

A tag has been placed on Category:Years of the 9th century indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. Liz Read! Talk! 00:40, 30 September 2024 (UTC)

Hello, Pigsonthewing,
I tagged many other empty categories you created today but I didn't want to flood your User talk page with notifications. You can see them at Category:Years BC by century and Category:Years AD by century. This category tagging starts a 7 day holding period where the categories sit in Category:Empty categories awaiting deletion for a week. If, over this coming week, the categories are no longer empty, the tag can be removed. If the categories are still empty next Sunday, they will be deleted. Categories that are deleted for simply being emptied, CSD C1, they can be recreated whenever there is a need for them. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 00:53, 30 September 2024 (UTC)
