Redirect of Asia Cruise (album)

edit

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Asia Cruise (album), by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Asia Cruise (album) is a redirect to a non-existent page (CSD R1).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Asia Cruise (album), please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Orphaned non-free media (Image:41DfQuoQAuL. SS500 .jpg)

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:41DfQuoQAuL. SS500 .jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:26, 26 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

106 & Park

edit

Hard work is appreciated, but this is not appropriate information for an encyclopedia article. Please see WP:NOT#IINFO. 106 & Park does not represent the sales or the airplay of any country and their playlists are based on BET and record label executives. There were separate articles with this information already and these were deleted. - eo (talk) 00:19, 29 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi, please know this info was not removed as a dismissal of work that you've done on it. Prior to when you started the list, there is no way to source it, unless 106 & Park's own website has every single song listed since the very beginning of the show. Adding to a list in this way, one that is updated daily, presumably until the show ends or is canceled, would lead to it being gigantic in size and once months/years passed there'd be no way to cite or confirm anything. I would suggest taking the info and perhaps putting it on your own web page, or perhaps a blog space for your own personal use. - eo (talk) 00:30, 29 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, really the article should be about the show, its history and its hosts and features (like the "Freestyle Fridays" part). I don't know who your internet service provider is, but most of them offer some webspace along with email, for example I know Comcast, Mac and Verizon do. There is also blogger.com, which is free. - eo (talk) 00:35, 29 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
Hi again. I didn't mean for the information to be moved to its own article, which is now what you've done. The same reasons for removal apply. - eo (talk) 01:22, 29 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
I understand your desire to keep it but Wikipedia is not a personal web host. The article about 106 & Park number-ones was deleted so there really is no reason for this one to stay... however, I will nominate it for AfD and this will give other editors a chance to form a consensus about it. - eo (talk) 01:28, 29 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
I know you had good intentions here. Right now we can let other editors give their thoughts and we can go from there depending on the outcome. - eo (talk) 01:42, 29 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
Do you feel like you have to have it online somewhere? It's basically listed the same way on the website you used as a source. I mean, if you want it for your personal knowledge you can always put it into an Excel spreadsheet and save it locally. - eo (talk) 11:56, 29 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

User Page

edit

You've moved the content of a deleted article and placed it onto your User Page. Unfortunately, this cannot stay here, as Wikipedia is not a personal webhost (click that link to learn more about what is appropriate for User Pages). You will need to find another place on the web to host this information if you do not want to keep it locally on your computer for your personal use. - eo (talk) 19:55, 13 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

No, you cannot edit your user page however you want. Copies of deleted articles cannot stay on your user page. Wikipedia is not your webhost. --Geniac (talk) 14:54, 14 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

New Joints & New Entries from 106 & Park

edit

Please stop adding all of this to the 106 & Park article. This is not notable information and it doesn't belong there. It's not being removed as a personal vendetta or based on one person's opinion.... it was deleted at WP:AfD as its own article per consensus by several Wikipedia editors. Why did you not participate in the discussion when it was nominated? I'm sorry that you cannot keep the info on your Talk Page, but again, your best bet is to keep it stored locally on your own computer or perhaps on a flash drive for your personal use. If you want it transferred, for example, to an Excel file or as text I can help you with that, but you can't keep putting it back in the article. - eo (talk) 17:52, 15 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

This info was deleted for a reason, stop re-adding it to the article.

My Dougie

edit

I redirected My Dougie backto Lil' Wil per WP:MUSIC, which says (emphasis mine):

Most songs do not merit an article and should redirect to another relevant article, such as for a prominent album or for the artist who wrote or prominently performed the song'. Songs that have been ranked on national or significant music charts... are probably notable. A separate article is only appropriate when there is enough verifiable material to warrant a reasonably detailed article; articles unlikely ever to grow beyond stubs should be merged to articles about an artist or album.

Since there seems to be very little info on Lil' Wil himself, there's no point on having a separate permanent stub on his single. Ten Pound Hammer and his otters(Broken clamshellsOtter chirps) 15:40, 2 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

License tagging for Image:51qSPR9aFHL. SS500 .jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:51qSPR9aFHL. SS500 .jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 18:09, 12 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Tha Carter IV

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Tha Carter IV, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Speedy deletion of 334 M.O.B.B.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. aldibibable (talk) 04:05, 29 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article 3 Peat (song), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process.

Hello. Just to let you know, you need to make sure that you use proper templates when you upload images, especially fair use one's. As you did for Image:WhatUpTI.jpg, you can't add {{PD-self}} templates when you are not the copyright owner. That constitutes a copyright violation. I replaced the template with a {{Non-free album cover}}. Be careful next time. —Do U(knome)? yes...or no 00:35, 3 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free media (Image:808's and Heatbreak.JPG)

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:808's and Heatbreak.JPG.

Sources for Paper Trail

edit

yo piazzajordan... this is not intended to be mean etc, im just curious... the first source for the tracklisting for paper trail was from the blog hiphop daily, which was taken off.. then the 2nd was another blog, i think OnSmash which also got taken off and then Amazon which is prob the most reliable source there is which got taken off and then Walmart which is also really reliable (in my opinion, what do i know...) and they were all the same listing... what is a good source websites so that when it comes out we can put the right tracklisting on there... i understand there is a rule for blogs but just because someone thinks that an official website think that the tracklisting is false, wikipedia doesnt have a rule that says u can do that (not u in particular)... thanks Ba11innnn (talk) 23:30, 12 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

thanks for the reply... yea i didnt like that tracklisting either.. actually i edited ready for whatever as a bonus track just to make sure if that tracklisting was kept on there, it would mention that song. my bad lol...looks like someone just edited it on there. like u said no swagger like us... yea rap-up is really good site, and the amazon with the preview is probably the best... hopefully the tracklist gets leaked soon, i cant to see who is on there. Image source problem with Image:Bigkuntryking.jpg

edit

Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:Bigkuntryking.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 03:34, 28 September 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. dave pape (talk) 03:34, 28 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Your track record at Talk:Theater of the Mind

edit

Starting back in September, you posted two tracklists from your blog for Theater of the Mind. Since we now have the actual tracklist from a reliable source, I thought I'd check your record.

For your first list, on 11 September 2008, you had five or six ("Opening Credits (Intro)" vs. "Intro.") of the 15 tracks on the final album and 12 or 13 that are not on the final album.

Your second list, 5 October 2008, is quite different than the one from less than a month earlier. In addition to swapping out most of your first lists wrong songs, you dropped one or two you previously had right. In all, you had nine of the 15 on the final album right and seven that are not on the final album.

Long story short: this is the reason your blog is not a reliable source. - SummerPhD (talk) 14:48, 20 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Ambitionz az a Ridah

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Ambitionz az a Ridah, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Article is not built from independent, reliable sources (WP:V), and does not explain how it meets the notability guidelines (WP:music) - level of activity is not an indication of notability.
