That's your problem.

The item on Lauren Bastide is from L'Express, a highly regarded journal. I you don't like it, that's your problem. You are obviously a public relations shill. Strambotik (talk) 07:05, 2 July 2021 (UTC)

@Strambotik, if you'd like to discuss this further, I'd be more than happy to suggest an a request for comments. From my reading of your edit, it seems to be a a translation of a quote from the Wikipedia article's subject, and to me it reads as either Wikipedia:UNDUE or Wikipedia:SELFSOURCE. A request for comments would allow a third opinion to assess the situation and then we can work towards consensus about what to do from here. Philipnelson99 (talk) 16:01, 2 July 2021 (UTC)

New page reviewer granted

Hi Philipnelson99. Your account has been added to the "New page reviewers" user group. Please check back at WP:PERM in case your user right is time limited or probationary. This user group allows you to review new pages through the Curation system and mark them as patrolled, tag them for maintenance issues, or nominate them for deletion. The list of articles awaiting review is located at the New Pages Feed. New page reviewing is vital to maintaining the integrity of the encyclopedia. If you have not already done so, you must read the tutorial at New Pages Review, the linked guides and essays, and fully understand the deletion policy. If you need any help or want to discuss the process, you are welcome to use the new page reviewer talk page. In addition, please remember:

  • Be nice to new editors. They are usually not aware that they are doing anything wrong. Do make use of the message feature when tagging pages for maintenance so that they are aware.
  • You will frequently be asked by users to explain why their page is being deleted. Please be formal and polite in your approach to them – even if they are not.
  • If you are not sure what to do with a page, don't review it – just leave it for another reviewer.
  • Accuracy is more important than speed. Take your time to patrol each page. Use the message feature to communicate with article creators and offer advice as much as possible.

The reviewer right does not change your status or how you can edit articles. If you no longer want this user right, you also may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. In cases of abuse or persistent inaccuracy of reviewing, or long-term inactivity, the right may be withdrawn at administrator discretion. signed, Rosguill talk 22:24, 2 July 2021 (UTC)

Your Rollback of an edit on the wrestling observer newsletter page.

You rolled back an edit i made on the wrestling observer newsletter page. The section I am trying to remove is a unsourced, biased rant highly critical of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. The section should be deleted as it as more slander then accurate reporting.

@Pulpcomics: my apologies, I didn't realize it was unsourced content, I know that doing rc patrol is not an excuse for this kind of error. I'll try not to make an error like this again. Also User:Ponyo reverted my bad revert so everything should be in order. Philipnelson99 (talk) 22:22, 6 July 2021 (UTC)

Martha Stewart

That material is sourced in the article, but it is definitely against consensus to add it as a defining description of her. Meters (talk) 02:58, 7 July 2021 (UTC)

@Meters okay, should I have just reverted with a custom reason? Thanks for pointing this out to me!! Philipnelson99 (talk) 03:00, 7 July 2021 (UTC)
No biggie, but definitely not unsourced. Her conviction is discussed at length in the article, and lead material (which should b e summary of material sourced elsewhere in the article) is not sourced unless it is particularly contentious. In this case, a criminal conviction of a well-known figure could be considered contentious, so the claim is well sourced in the next paragraph of the lead. The issue is whether her conviction is such a defining characteristic that it should be mentioned in the first sentence of the lead, and consensus is that it should not be. This is a long-standing issue, and the article has previously been protected because of multiple attempts by IPS and new accounts to make this edit. Meters (talk) 03:08, 7 July 2021 (UTC)
@Meters thanks for letting me know! I'll remember this if I run across it again! Philipnelson99 (talk) 03:12, 7 July 2021 (UTC)

A barnstar for you

  The Anti-Vandalism Barnstar
Thanks for the good work on fighting vandalism during RC patrol!! -- DaxServer (talk) 20:22, 6 July 2021 (UTC)

Gwen Berry: Please stop removing edits with factual content, just because you don't like it!!! Gwen Berry has proven herself to bothe be "Anti-American" and "racist". Please stop committing VANDALISM on the page. The changes I made are APT!!!! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 162.254.45.98 (talk) 21:01, 6 July 2021 (UTC)

Philip, feel free to add an oak cluster to your anti-vandalism barnstar above. :) I have protected the Gwen Berry article to prevent further vandalism from the IP. —C.Fred (talk) 21:03, 6 July 2021 (UTC)
@C.Fred and @DaxServer I appreciate the sentiment! Thanks! I've been doing RC patrol for quite a while and it often seems like thankless job :) but y'all made me smile!! Philipnelson99 (talk) 20:25, 7 July 2021 (UTC)

Tagging pages for deletion

Hello, Philipnelson99,

Just a reminder that any time you tag a page for deletion (CSD, PROD, AFD/TFD/MFD/etc.), you need to post a notification on the talk page of the page creator so they know that a page they started might be deleted and the reason why. It could help them from repeating any mistakes or stop them from recreating the page a second time. I recommend using Twinkle because once you set your Preferences to "Notify page creator", Twinkle will post these notifications for you which makes things easy. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 04:08, 7 July 2021 (UTC)

@Liz Oh, I didn't realize huggle wouldn't do that automatically! Thanks for letting me know. Philipnelson99 (talk) 04:09, 7 July 2021 (UTC)
I post this message or a similar one a half dozen times a day so it's a common mistake. I'm not familiar with Huggle so I don't know how it operates. Thanks again! Liz Read! Talk! 04:44, 7 July 2021 (UTC)
Oh, I also wanted to say "Thanks" for helping out the other day with that troll who kept vandalizing articles about the Sri Lanka & Bangladesh military. He was very persistent. Liz Read! Talk! 20:44, 8 July 2021 (UTC)
@Liz Absolutely! That was one of the more persistent vandals I've encountered since I came back to wikipedia! Philipnelson99 (talk) 21:52, 8 July 2021 (UTC)

Egyptologist

Hi @Philipnelson99: That guy Jean-Claude Goyon is an Emeritus Professor of Egyptology at the University of Lyon II. He is a full professor at a major university and is almost certainly notable. You should have sent the article to draft. scope_creepTalk 22:26, 8 July 2021 (UTC)

And he has been award a Legion of Honour. How did you miss that? scope_creepTalk 22:32, 8 July 2021 (UTC)
The very top Legion of Honour, making him absolutely notable. scope_creepTalk 22:34, 8 July 2021 (UTC)

why do people keep removing my edit of the 2016 Hoboken Train Crash?

its relevant to what the wikipedia page is about, considering the time window, the subject matter of the alert, and the region it was played in, so why is it "not relevant"

@67.237.62.63: I reverted [1], because it was WP:UNSOURCED and WP:SPECULATION. @CodeTalker: reverted [2] & [3] because those edits were WP:IRRELEVANT and I'd argue they also did not meet guidelines on Wikipedia:Reliable sources. I'd suggest you read those articles before contributing more to the article. I'd also like to make you aware of wikipedia's policy on edit warrring since you've reached the threshold outlined there. Help with college

I noticed you said that you were struggling with being at college and that you'd like help. Please could I ask you what you'd like help with? Ariana Williscroft (talk) 15:50, 7 July 2021 (UTC)

Hi Phillip,

Leaving you a message in response to your last message to me. I can understand how it might be taken as attacking, but shouldn't there be a more clear statement in the opening (or anywhere within the article on PragerU) that the information they tell has also been criticized by many as being harmful as well as incorrect as otherwise, it doesn't completely show both views and the rest of the information. I have not made any further changes to the page as having looked at your user account I'm sure you would be able to put this message across in the article more concisely than myself.

A bowl of strawberries for you!

Good to see you around again! S0091 (talk) 19:57, 25 July 2021 (UTC)

Link to the oldest shell server in EU.

What is the problem with you? Why you are removing useful links? The info about the oldest public non-commercial, non-profit, shell server in Europe does not deserve to be in shell account article? It is a piece of Internet history in Europe, stop being a prick and destroying some other's work, it only discourages people from editing Wikipedia. Or maybe you have a problem it is a Polish project, not American, as you left the American server in. If you have a problem with Polish people you better put it in your pocket. I put the link back, do not touch it. 83.25.247.143 (talk) 20:29, 29 July 2021 (UTC)

Butcher of Fallujah

I am the assault team leader responsible for capturing the Butcher of Fallujah. Are my edits still pending? MatthewM2010 (talk) 21:07, 29 July 2021 (UTC)

@MatthewM2010 I've reverted your edit again because personal experience isn't a reliable source. Philipnelson99 (talk) 21:34, 29 July 2021 (UTC)

Please read the Wiki page. It states exactly what I am trying to edit, thank you. MatthewM2010 (talk) 21:39, 29 July 2021 (UTC)

Why would you take down the information on Philip Alston

Philip Alston the Counterfeiter's page is full of missing or inaccurate information on my 5th Great Grandfather. You took down all the editing that I done. Why? At least work with me to correct the errors and add the missing information on him that is not listed. Please replace the last page and then work with me to correct what ever violates the style you were talking about, Please. I have over 30 years research and no more about this man (my ancestor) than from what I have read than anyone else out there. Even those whom have wrote books on him.

I don't want incorrect or missing Historical facts to be left out like it is now that it is reverted.

Please address this and undo what you have done or at least put my edits back and we can wright it the way you want it to be read, but with the Historical facts and Referances to documents and Historical proof that I am correct.

Please, Tammy If you want to email me my email is tammyfishburn@gmail.com

@2600:8803:9405:ED00:8152:B267:C1D8:961D: well there were a few issues with your contributions. First of all, an encyclopedia article should never be written in first person. I noticed you were using quite a bit of first person. Another issue I noticed is that all of your added content was original research, which is not a valid reliable source. If you feel you can back up your content, I encourage you to reliably source it. There's also an article talk page in which you can discuss issues with the article. Hope this helps you understand why I removed your contributions Philipnelson99 (talk) 17:45, 31 July 2021 (UTC)
