Timeline of Bandar Abbas
Re: this edit, the text was dumped on the timeline without a source, except that the IP had seen it in another article. The second paragraph is a spurious story invented in the last few years by pro-Hindutva people who want to claim that Hindus are the source of everything. In fact there have never been Maharajas in Bandar Abbas because it has almost always been under Persian control. Please see the infobox map at Sasanian Empire and note that the Straits of Hormuz lay deep inside the Sassanian Empire. Certainly in 630 CE it would have had a Persian governor (a shahrab). The reason the false story picked 630 CE is because of the Islamic empire which defeated the Sassanians in 633. PROD and AFD

- @Interstellarity: I read WP:PROD and I found no guidelines that says a "waiting" time before PROD is required. WP:CSD doesn't give a minimum time limit; and infact it would have a case for A7 because the article clearly has no statement of importance; I stopped short at that and gave a PROD because I wanted to provide the chance for other editors to state at least the importance of the person. Back to my question:
can you show me a guideline that says to wait a while before tagging PROD?

- Interstellarity Hi Optakeover, As for as I know there is no guidelines for waiting a few hours prior action of AfD or PROD should be taken. It is a normal practise as in new page, sometimes the creators have not get the content set up right in a few edits on the first few hours due to they are new to Wikipedia thus we try to avoid WP:BITE. For copyvio, PROMO, vandalism/attack page we would CSD them immediately. Cheers. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 13:23, 4 January 2020 (UTC)

- Interstellarity the article does not qualify a A7 but if you are going to remove the PROD then please do a WP:BEFORE to justify the action if the subject fails WP:GNG rather than just because it was tag too early. It would be a courtesy to inform the nominator of waiting for a few hours prior the PROP. Is is within the guidelines if Optakeover wish to AfD the page after a BEFORE is done. - {u|Interstellarity}} It is not read a WP:BEFORE (you should anywhere) but to "DO" a BEFORE - this means you have to check if there are any independent, reliable sources out side Wikipedia/outside the article (at least search the web) first and if they are no independent reliable sources found to indication of pass GNG then a PROD/AFD can be nominated. This is different than A7/A9/A11 - They can be nominated if the subject has no indication of "significant" - go back and check the assignment on this topic which I have elaborated.
