Thank you!

Hi Omni Flames. I just wanted to thank you for your effort in relisting the M. S. Ramaiah article so that is was (finally) able to come to the attention of those seeking to improve such articles, such as master editor/admin @MichaelQSchmidt:. Again, thank you. Picomtn (talk) 23:04, 29 April 2016 (UTC)

@Picomtn: Hey, no problem :). I think it's pretty clear now that the article will be kept. Omni Flames let's talk about it 23:09, 29 April 2016 (UTC)
I believe you're right Omni Flames that this one will be saved, and I'm still working (with others of course) to save Mr. Lambu, Jacky Lafon and Krista Franklin whose AfD discussion you (and everyone you know here) should read too. Thanks. Picomtn (talk) 23:17, 29 April 2016 (UTC)

Re: your almost immediate revert of an addition to the Zulu film page, regarding Michael Caine's comments on a recent 60 Minutes interview as to his casting in the film. You believe it not "constructive". I'm not sure what "constructive" means in this context, but I believe the addition is an interesting and pertinent fact to the making of the movie. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:14E:4000:B69:686B:9592:3EBB:3E18 (talk) 02:20, 30 April 2016 (UTC)

DYK for Munin (video game)

On 30 April 2016, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Munin (video game), which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that in Munin, a puzzle-platformer video game, the goal is to retrieve the main character's wings, stolen by the Norse god Loki? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Munin (video game). You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Munin (video game)), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

CVU academy

I want to learn how to fight vandalism more effectively. I want to eventually be able to use Huggle and Igloo, and get rollback rights. Can you train me in the CVU academy? My only issue is that we are in very different time zones, so it might be hard to communicate. Please leave a message on my talk page when you have decided to take me on or not. You reverted incorrect information

The information removed from Stephen Andrew wiki page is incorrect. The explanation for removal was provided. Mediaperson2016 (talk) 11:19, 3 May 2016 (UTC)

@Mediaperson2016: Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. You're right, it did have an explanation. However, the content there was backed up by a reliable source, and so, to remove it, you would have to provide another source to prove the information wrong. Omni Flames let's talk about it 11:25, 3 May 2016 (UTC)

Hi. The issue is that the information is editorial - I can tell you this is not correct information. Mr. Andrew now works as a communications consultant andrewstewartgroup.com that has nothing to do with his work as a journalist. The comment is an editorial perspective. Speedy deletion of Liebherr LR 13000

Hello,

I believe that the subject of the article is relevant and sufficiently notable. I understand that it was written in a manner that didn't show its importance, but the fact that it is the largest crawler crane and the tallest crane of any kind proves that. Given that the article was deleted, could you retrieve it so that I can make improvements to it?

15:17:07, 15 May 2016 review of submission by Roybliss

Hi - I'm treading carefully as this is the first time I've submitted an article :-) I thought I'd been very thorough with all the referencing to give you as much information from a variety of sources to enable you to approve the article.

Can you guide me a bit further with what is at fault here? Is it perhaps a case of less is more and that I've given too many references that make your job more difficult?

Grateful for any assistance you can offer.

Roy

Hello Roybliss. The reason I declined your draft is because the references are incorrectly formatted. At the moment they're what we call "bare URLs". I recommend you use Template:Cite web for your references, which will help you add information to them such as the title, the source date, the access date etc. Also, we don't use ourselves as a source, so please remove the Wikipedia reference. Hope that helps! Omni Flames let's talk about it 22:17, 15 May 2016 (UTC)

09:16:12, 16 May 2016 review of submission by Emilnes

Hi, I am disappointed that the draft I put forward for review has been rejected. I have referenced a range of valid and verifiable sources - independent sources - in putting it together and I am not sure, from the general feedback note, what the exact issue is? I would be grateful for any specific details about what the problem is with the article. Many thanks Ed

Hello there Emilnes. The reason why I declined your draft is because it reads more like a brochure or a flyer, than an entry to the encyclopedia. Several terms in the article, such as "powerful mobile technology", "flexibility and freedom", "potentially high levels" etc, make the article seem like an advert. Parts of the draft are similar to an essay, in the sense that they appear to be being used to persuade the reader. In addition, the grammar and punctuation in the article is overall very poor. I hope that clears things up! Omni Flames let's talk about it 09:21, 16 May 2016 (UTC)

10:36:33, 16 May 2016 review of submission by Cafeb2016

Hello,

My submission for MindLink has been declined again because of the references. Please note that all the references below are industry websites for lync users and fintech updates sources that relate to Mindlink and are reliable. http://www.lyncinsider.com/ http://www.bankingtech.com/ https://exchangequery.com/ http://www.eweek.com/

I worked on this page on the templates used by other chat apps and looking at others e.g. Spark (XMPP client) that have even less references, I don't understand why my page keeps getting rejected. Please let me know what I can do to get this page published as I've been working on it for a while and I'd like to everything I can to publish it

Thank you very much for your time

@Cafeb2016: The reason why I declined your draft was because it wasn't backed up by reliable sources. Out of the references on the page, the 1st, the 3rd, the 4th and the 7th didn't seem to be reliable and were mostly blogs, the others I'm not sure about. Hope that helps! I sent screenshots of your harassment to the info team, have a nice day. 75.164.115.223 (talk) 07:27, 17 May 2016 (UTC)

I wasn't trying to remove those messages that I sent you, that was an accident. Anyway, I don't have an "overseer". What are you talking about? Omni Flames let's talk about it 07:33, 17 May 2016 (UTC)

Red Bull is a mess after that IP. Are you up to straightening it out? I'm about to head off to sleep. I've taken a screen shot of this, so don't change it - I have evidence! Cheers & 'night Jim1138 (talk) 07:58, 17 May 2016 (UTC)

Hey Jim1138. I agree, that whole situation was a bit of a mess. I've reverted their most recent edit. Not sure what else there is to do actually... Omni Flames let's talk about it 08:02, 17 May 2016 (UTC)

@Zainkazmi1: Please add some more reliable sources. We don't use ourselves as a source, and the 6th source doesn't seem to be reliable. In addition, parts of the article read like an advert. Hopefully that clears things up. Omni Flames let's talk about it 10:40, 17 May 2016 (UTC)

Review of Draft:Dalit Stauber

Welcome to the Articles for Creation corps! It's fine to make a comment such as "Words like "educator" and "outstanding" don't need wikilinking, please unlink them." on a draft, but that is not a valid reason to decline the draft. Be sure to follow the reviewing workflow set out in the Articles for Creation reviewing instructions. Lesser problems like wikilinking can be dealt with by fixing them (preferred) or if the draft is otherwise acceptable, by accepting the draft and then adding suitable maintenance templates. Do not decline a draft unless it would likely be deleted from main space in its current state, contains major WP:POV problems, or lacks inline citations where such citations are required. --Worldbruce (talk) 15:44, 18 May 2016 (UTC)

Hey Worldbruce. Thank you very much for taking the time to leave this comment here. I'm still learning the various policies which are relevant to AFC, and so I appreciate your assistance. Anyway, looking back on it, it does seem a very bad reason to decline a nomination. I still think the article does need work before being moved to mainspace, and I've covered that with the user in the section above. I'll be sure to remember this advice when I'm reviewing further nominations. Once again, thank you! Omni Flames let's talk about it 06:59, 19 May 2016 (UTC)

Editing Questions

Hi there,

I am having a hard time getting my article approved. Every editor has declined for a different reason, so I feel like there is no consistency in the review process with so many different people reviewing. Any insight would be hugely helpful. Is there a way to stick with one editor?

Thank you. Alyssa Denim (talk) 20:08, 18 May 2016 (UTC)Alyssa Denim

Hello Alyssa Denim. Yes, that's correct. We did all decline for different reasons. The main reason for this is because, as the submission was rejected, you fixed the problems that were brought up by the previous reviewer. However, there were still some withstanding problems that hadn't been addressed by the previous reviewer, so once again the draft was rejected. As for your question, generally, no, anyone can review a submission. However, if you'd like, you can ask me to review your submission once you submit it, that way it might be more consistent.
