Your revert of my edit on BBC News at Nine

edit

Hello, you recently reverted an edit I made on the short description of this page. I had edited it to read "former nightly news programme on BBC News", which fits the description of the page - it is a nightly news programme on BBC News which no longer runs. You did not provide an explanation for your revert - this should always be included on Wikipedia, by the way, you can't just revert people's edits willy-nilly - and you left it as "News programme", which is unnecessarily brief for a description. Would you care to explain why you felt the need to make this revert? werewolf (talk) 13:34, 3 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

Your new description was not appropriate given the name has been revived and is now shown at 9am so "nightly" shouldn't be in the description. This discussion should take place on the articles talk page where more people will be made aware and can contribute. Nzggsvd (talk) 14:01, 3 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
Ok, so perhaps you need to edit the rest of the article to reflect the fact that this is no longer a nightly news programme. It would be important to provide supporting citations for this, and you should definitely provide an explanation for reverting someone's edit. Why haven't you done any of that? werewolf (talk) 03:37, 4 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
Final paragraph of the lead says it has been revived and the first section entitled presenters refers to the revived version. I have provided a reason for reverting you. I don't own the page so if you think work needs to be done then why don't you do it? Nzggsvd (talk) 07:45, 4 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

Why

edit

Why did you do another checkuser thing without behavioural evidence @Bbb23:? Looking at peoples IP addresses without evidence is abuse of the tools. I tried apologising and whatever in appeal to arb com but that didn't work so VPN's it is. You break CheckUser policy then I'll break policy.

Wow, it's Matt! So, that's why you were so keen to edit-war against me. Are you still that interested in me? "Newcomer"? See you on the flip side! -- /Alex/21 06:24, 16 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
Oh come on, I reverted your edit that I disagreed with. Part of my appeal was not interacting with you because of your hostile attitude but that was denied so here we are. Vast majority of my edits had nothing to do with you, I made many useful contributions including the maintenance categories you created. Nzggsvd (talk) 08:14, 16 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
You were here to sock, and never to collaboratively contribute to Wikipedia. Try again. Good luck with them policies and appeals! -- /Alex/21 10:05, 16 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
Not "here to sock" but to contribute to Wikipedia, socking was a just a necessary evil. I made many useful contributions in the short time I used this account. Not worth appealing again so I'll just keep creating accounts. Nzggsvd (talk) 10:41, 16 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
Let me know how you go with that. Won't last long, bud. -- /Alex/21 10:45, 16 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
We'll see about that. Nzggsvd (talk) 10:47, 16 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
Why would I let you know how I get on anyway? So you can get me blocked again for no reason. Nzggsvd (talk) 10:48, 16 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
This account lasted a little over a fortnight when many useful contributions. Nzggsvd (talk) 10:50, 16 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
Get a hobby, bud. You need one if you're so desperate to keep coming back just to edit-war with internet people. -- /Alex/21 10:57, 16 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
I'm not here to "edit war", I'm here to improve the encyclopedia and will continue to do so. Nzggsvd (talk) 11:02, 16 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
"in Tajik". No you won't. Get a hobby. -- /Alex/21 11:16, 16 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
Template didn't work. Yes I will. I have a hobby. Nzggsvd (talk) 11:21, 16 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
Too bad you didn't take my advice on your talkpage Matt. No ban is forever, if you were to show a willingness to change & were apologetic for your socking and harassment of Alex no doubt you would have been able to resume editing again. Esuka (talk) 19:58, 16 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
I did write a proper appeal including that but arb-com denied it so have to do this. Nzggsvd (talk) 20:22, 16 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
"but arb-com denied it so have to do this" What exactly is this? In other words, what are you doing?--Bbb23 (talk) 20:25, 16 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
You normally just checkuser and block without behavioral evidence so against rules, actually communicating today. Create new account to make useful contributions. Nzggsvd (talk) 20:49, 16 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
I waited six months without editing then wrote honest appeal with what I thought was needed but it was denied. Said I should have edited other projects but I didn't know that before appeal and I don't know another language. Nzggsvd (talk) 21:13, 16 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
Then if ArbCom denied your request, that means no more editing for you. Clearly your edits aren't needed or wanted here, Matt. -- /Alex/21 22:10, 16 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should read the guide to appealing blocks, then contact administrators by submitting a request to the Unblock Ticket Request System. If the block is a CheckUser or Oversight block, was made by the Arbitration Committee or to enforce an arbitration decision (arbitration enforcement), or is unsuitable for public discussion, you should appeal to the Arbitration Committee.
Please note that there could be appeals to the unblock ticket request system that have been declined leading to the post of this notice.

BBC News

edit

@Gediminas Klingenschmitt: I was editing to make a point because I was reverted for including unsourced information even though there was so much unsourced information already there. [1] can be used for who presented when but validity could be questioned. Programme entries on BBC website can be used for schedule. Nzggsvd (talk) 10:47, 16 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
