Good morning Noamross. I wanted to leave you a note that I moved the page that you created at User:/Noamross/Wikipedia Guide for Ecology Graduate Students to User:Noamross/Wikipedia Guide for Ecology Graduate Students. The leading slash caused it to be created in another user's userspace. Syrthiss (talk) 16:33, 11 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Oh, its beautiful. Can you add some media (like pictures) from Wikipedia Commons? It's not a big issue. — Novice7 (talk) 09:38, 1 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Just came across your page - I had missed the TREE article about contributing to Wikipedia. Nice find! Guettarda (talk) 21:00, 21 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Help with Ecology articles

edit

Hi Noamross...I am the primary author of ecology, food web, human ecology, nutrient cycle, conservation biology and I have dabbled in other ecology / science related articles. I see that you are interested in this area and so I was hoping to enlist your services. Ecology is huge and so I have been trying very hard to break it down in size - recently migrated parts to human ecology. Food web was a disaster and I will be getting to it soon - food chain is a stub and I don't even know if it is needed. Conservation biology was my first attempt at wikipedia and it is also a disaster at this point. Perhaps you could piggy back with me and we could go through these articles to get the standards up. I managed to get ecology to good article status and think it could be featured with only a little bit of extra input. The main barrier is its length - but try to give a short intro to ecology!! Even with the extensive work in there - I haven't even scratched the surface. I have a BSc in wildlife biology and a MSc in Zoology and I'm completing an MEd in ecoliteracy and leadership education. I am well read in all areas related to biology and I'm competent in math, stats, geology, and physics as well. I run a DNA sequencing (and soon to be microbiology lab) at UNBC[www.unbc.ca]. Take care!Thompsma (talk) 23:29, 23 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Happy Earth Day!

Hello! Wishing you a Happy Earth day on the behalf of WikiProject Environment and WikiProject Ecology.

When man tries to fight nature, he invariably loses. Nature invariably wins. It is only when man is wise enough to live with nature that he really gets anywhere.
