I recently came accross an article for "cambok" that appears to be unverifiable, possibly a hoax (?), and probably not notable anyway. However, it has been up for almost a year and other people have edited it (but only correcting things like grammar and "wikifing" it and such.

Doesn't really seem like regular vandalism/hoax material, though --it's pretty boring. Also, the only info I can find online for "Cambok" is for pages that directly reference this Wikipedia article and a totally different game (which DOES seem to be verifiable) I'm not sure how to proceed. I tagged it as a possible hoax and left comments on the "talk" page, but now I'm not sure if the "hoax" tag was the correct thing to do.... Considering that there may be either two games called "cambok" or a "real cambok" that is different from the one in Wikipedia, should the article be deleted? I have listed the page for possible deletion. Please watch the discussion and the page itself to make sure that people are not messing with it. After 5 days if there is a consensus on what to do with the page it will be handled accordingly. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. --Willy No1lakersfan (Talk - Contribs) 01:31, 28 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
If nobody were to find any information about something else that is credible with the same name, the article will be deleted. If, however, the article is deleted and somebody finds something that is notable, then they can recreate the article as long as they were to provide evidence that the topic is credible. --Willy No1lakersfan (Talk - Contribs) 01:57, 28 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for helping out on Wikipedia. I guess most people thought that the article is a bunch of nonsense in its current form, and it will most likely be deleted very soon. I would have sent it for speedy deletion, but I tend to have trouble sometimes with doing that on articles that are questionable, which is why I proposed it for deletion, to give people a chance to discuss the matter.
If you ever come across an article or subject that you are familiar with, feel free to contribute what you can. There is lots of stuff, big and small, that anyone can do. Advice for editing pages to avoid "wars" edit

I might suggest contacting the user to see why they feel like they should be in total control of the page, and let them know what you would like to change. Maybe they will tell you why they are so "posessive" of the page. If they are not willing to cooperate, then I suggest that you do nothing more with the page, so that you do not get on that person's bad side. Considering that they are an admin, they have ways of controlling you as well, so it's best to not bother them very much. --Willy No1lakersfan (Talk - Contribs) 14:21, 4 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
