Tropical Storm Sebastien edit

I like that sandbox article of Tropical Storm Sebastien in 1995. To me it looks good enough to be an article. So maybe you could make that sandbox article into an article about Tropical Storm Sebastien (1995). Agree? Disagree? --12george1 (talk) 00:09, 11 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

New Jersey Routes edit

I will start working on improving the articles about U.S. and Interstate highways in New Jersey. However, aside from NJ 55, there are still a few major state routes such as 45, 47, 70, 71, and 72 that need to be worked on in addition to the NJTP and GSP articles. Dough4872 (talk) 17:11, 17 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Okay, so do you want me to work on the other state routes I listed, the U.S. and Interstate articles, and the two toll roads while you handle the rest of the state routes? (P.S. I hope you get the documents for the former routes) Dough4872 (talk) 17:21, 17 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, that would be helpful - 47 was a work of mine, so was 55, so you can clean it if you want. I made be waiting till September to get the 74 and 85 ones. Btw, when you cite Steve Anderson, cite his sources more than citing him.Mitch32(Want help? See here!) 17:23, 17 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
I have tried citing some of Anderson's sources in a couple articles before and can do it again. Dough4872 (talk) 17:25, 17 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Another thought, how should I handle the US 1/9 mess. Should the US 1/9 page thoroughly describe the concurrency while the US 1 and US 9 articles thoroughly describe the separate parts with a brief summary of the concurrency? Also, should the junction lists follow suit with the US 1 and US 9 articles only containing the non-concurrent parts while the US 1/9 article contains the junctions along the concurrency. Dough4872 (talk) 17:28, 17 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

If memory serves - US 1 according to the state is the dominant route along the concurrency - probably should follow that.Mitch32(Want help? See here!) 17:36, 17 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
However, we have the U.S. Route 1/9 article covering the concurrency. Should this be merged into U.S. Route 1 in New Jersey? I don't think it would be an appropriate move. Dough4872 (talk) 17:51, 17 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
Hard to say. I know U.S. Route 1 and 9 is a very rare occurrence (like MD 2-4).Mitch32(Want help? See here!) 17:55, 17 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
In the case of MD 2-4, the information is covered separately in each article. Maybe that should be done here and US 1/9 can become a disambiguation page. However, this move would cause a lot of redundancy. Maybe we should take this discussion to WT:USRD to get other people's opinions. Dough4872 (talk) 18:02, 17 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
Shrugs - Up to you. :D - Back to the nitty gritty of the discussion :) - Mitch32(Want help? See here!) 18:18, 17 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
Discussion taken to WT:USRD. Dough4872 (talk) 18:32, 17 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
Cool.Mitch32(Want help? See here!) 18:42, 17 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Oh, add NJ 139 to your list, as this is more your alley as well.Mitch32(Want help? See here!) 19:01, 17 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

By the way, the discussion at WT:USRD seems to be leaning toward my idea and the current situation, with the US 1/9 article covering the concurrency and the separate US 1 and US 9 articles covering the non-concurrent parts with a brief summary of the concurrency. Dough4872 (talk) 18:30, 18 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
I've seen.Mitch32(Want help? See here!) 18:42, 18 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

I will continue to work on the state route articles for now too since there are still quite a bit. I noticed the list you gave me is missing some current routes, such as I-287, as well as some former state routes such as 1, 9 (merged to CR 506), and 11. State Route 2005 edit

Hey, I was wondering if you could create a map of State Route 2005 (Delaware County, Pennsylvania) since you seem to know a lot about Pennsylvania roads. ~EDDY (talk/contribs/editor review)~ 19:18, 18 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Also, is http://www.pahighways.com considered a reliable source? ~EDDY (talk/contribs/editor review)~ 19:20, 18 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
Oh, I'm hardly finished with the article yet; I simply wanted to see if I could find a map of it. Man, I could use a lot of information from Mr. Kitsko, but I guess I'll have to resort to the oil company maps. ~EDDY (talk/contribs/editor review)~ 19:38, 18 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

RI 99 and RI 78 edit

Oops, thanks for fixing my error in the RI 99 article :) Regarding RI 4, I'm sorry if I made you feel like I was trying to take over the article. That really wasn't my intention...

I see you did a great job improving the Rhode Island Route 78 article - are you going to nominate it at GAN? Cheers, Raime 02:43, 19 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Okay, I'm glad. But anyway, are you still aiming to make the Route 4 article an FA? Cheers, Raime 14:02, 19 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
That sounds good to me. What else do you think needs to be done to the article to expand/improve it before that point? Unfortunately, I can't seem to find any more useful information from RIDOT's website or independent sources other than Steve Anderson. Cheers, Raime 14:47, 19 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
No, but I can easily go take some this afternoon - I should be able to upload them by tonight. And I just nominated RI 4 at Wikipedia:WikiProject U.S. Roads/Assessment/A-Class review/Rhode Island Route 4. Cheers, Raime 15:22, 19 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
Okay, I went this afternoon and took a few photos of the tower. You can see them all at commons:Category:Hannah Robinson Tower. I had never climbed the tower before, so I had never realized how great the view is; the tower itself is also very interesting. Unfortunately, the images of the Newport Bridge from the top of the tower view didn't come out so great... Still, I hope the pictures bring back some of your good memories! Cheers, Raime 23:24, 19 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hello Mitchazenia, What are you talking about when you refer to "Wyoming List?" Do you mean State highways in Wyoming or List of county routes in Wyoming County, New York?

Thanks for your concern, any problems just let me know. Ngs61 (talk) 02:00, 25 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

NJ 109 edit

I agree, with major routes such as NJ 47, county routes are not major. But in routes like 109 that are 3 miles long, county routes are more important. What are 109 or 147 or 83 but county routes that are funded by the state? My thought -- keep county routes as major intersections for one-county state routes. What do you think? ~EDDY (talk/contribs/editor review)~ 15:04, 28 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Okay fine. I still think county routes on steroids (that's what I call one-county state routes) should contain 600-series county routes in major intersections. Besides, some county routes are longer than state routes. ~EDDY (talk/contribs/editor review)~ 15:19, 28 August 2009 (UTC)\Reply
