Devolver Digital

edit

Hello, it seems like you have started to engage an edit war on the article Devolver Digital. I had originall reverted your edit to let you know that what you wrote did not seem quite encyclopedic, such as abbreviating "Devolver Digital" to "Devolver" or "Texas" to "TX" within the article body. Furthermore, you removed the "doing business tag" at the very beginning of the article, which is wrong. "They have also found success [..]" is a relative line, as success in so far cannot be defined beyond notability, of which Serious Sam and Hotline Miami received a lot more of. I have now cleaned up your edits and will compare them to the previous revisions and will reach out to you to achieve a compromise. Be aware, however, that simply rewriting it all without any form of consensus and in this size will clutter up revision histories and also cause edit wars like these. I'm not sure if this is how to communicate with you, as this is my first time doing this -- I see what you're saying -- but if you read over the way it was previously, you'll see that it seems like it was written by a third grader. The actual company was looking to have me clean up their wiki page. Definitely not trying to get into an edit war with you, just trying to help it look better. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Midnightatx (talkcontribs) 22:59, 1 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
Generally on talk pages, you will need two things: 1. The colon sign (:), and four tildes (~~~~). The colon inlines your message by 1, meaning that for ever further message, one more colon is needed every time, and all of them belong to the beginning of your message (as you can see, mine has two, yours will have three). The four tildes add a signature to your message, as it can be seen at the end of my first message and the end of this one, I added a colon and and {{Unsigned}} template to your message to at least mark it properly as yours, but please remember to do it on future comments.
About your regards, it is true that the page was not well-written, however, if you aim for throwing over an entire article, make sure to head for the talk section of the article first. Furthermore, I removed three lines you added to the History section because they were unsourced and the latter two of them very much written from a personal point of view. Regardless, we should try to add a good line on Devolver's acquisition of the Shadow Warrior license in the future. Lordtobi () 05:50, 2 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
