Deletion of RetroN 3 edit

Whack!

You've been whacked with a wet trout.

Don't take this too seriously. Someone just wants to let you know that you did something silly.

No context edit

You tagged LoveBird(Leona Lewis song) for speedy deletion based on the fact that it had insufficient context to identify the subject of the article. Really? You couldn't tell that the subject was a song by Leona Lewis named "LoveBird"? And (upon further reading) that the song was from her album Glassheart? To be sure, the article was of insufficient length to remain as is, but it did not qualify for the SD category you named. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 15:42, 6 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Sorry about that. I'm still kinda new at this. Midhart90 (talk) 15:52, 6 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hungryman productions edit

You put a G11 notice on the user's page. The editor has since uploaded the article again. Given your seniority in this matter I defer to you. - Fanthrillers (talk) 00:11, 9 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Looks like he re-wrote the article to be less like an advertisement, so the article, while it still needs some work, can stay put for now. Midhart90 (talk) 15:36, 9 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

HD 40307 planets edit

I'm in the process of adding sourced information. When I say that HD 40307 has six planets, that is because of the Tuomi paper, which I'm putting links to all up and down the page. And I think you're being pretty heavy handed with your reverts. Why not add the link yourself? or message me first?--Zimriel (talk) 22:59, 10 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Further note: The same article which said that C was the second furthest, ALSO said it was the second closest. So that wasn't even unsourced. You just told me off for something RIGHT that I did.--Zimriel (talk) 23:01, 10 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Looks like you're right, I goofed. Sorry! Midhart90 (talk) 23:05, 10 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Please don't remove requests for sources. edit

As you did in the white privilege article.--Questionentity (talk) 12:54, 8 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Requesting sources for controversial statements is not vandalism.--Questionentity (talk) 12:57, 8 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Please explain your nonconstructive deletions edit

Why have you deleted requests for sources and clarification based on existing source? --Questionentity (talk) 13:02, 8 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Reverted changes in sndio page edit

You reverted all recent Sndio changes explaining that "What may be clear to you might not be to another reader". I trust your opinion/experience about whis, but IMHO, you reverted as well changes that seem correct:

  • in the "features" paragraph, there was new reference to the sndio manual where the feature list can be verified by the reader ("encyclopedic content must be verifiable")
  • saying that sndiod is about "multimedia" is a mistake, you can verify that sndiod is about audio and midi only (in above mentioned reference, btw).
  • the new wording of the preview section is a better description of what sndiod -- as a sound server -- does. It adds the proper reference to other wikipedia pages for readers who wish more information about sound servers and sound cards in general.

Could you reconsider the removal of these changes? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ratchov (talkcontribs) 13:59, 8 December 2012‎

One week later, above mentioned changes are still reverted; what should we do?

Edit warring edit

Per the discussion on ANI, your edit warring must stop and you need to constructively engage editors that you disagree with rather than simply reverting their edits. I recommend you read WP:EW because any further edit warring on any article will likely lead to you being blocked from editing. Toddst1 (talk) 14:35, 8 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Question: If a piece of information is considered to be "common knowledge" (ex. "Snowmen are made of snow."), does it need to be cited? Thank you. Henrib736 (talk) 17:11, 27 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Deletion of page called Natalie Lord edit

Evening,

On the 25th you deleted a page called Natalie Lord... It was a simple, harmless page were I was praising a close friend, who i would ask out via Wikipedia.

I can see your job is vital, but this page was not 'inappropriate'.

Thanks

Tom — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tom1994ryan (talkcontribs) 18:28, 30 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

While I certainly wish you and your friend the best, Wikipedia is not a social networking site and therefore an article meant to communicate with a friend is not appropriate on Wikipedia. If you wish to communicate with another Wikipedia user, you are of course free to use the talk page system. Midhart90 (talk) 00:10, 31 January 2013 (UTC)Reply
