Welcome!
editHello, MeKLT, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few links to pages you might find helpful:
You may also want to complete the Wikipedia Adventure, an interactive tour that will help you learn the basics of editing Wikipedia. You can visit the Teahouse to ask questions or seek help.
Please remember to sign your messages on talk pages by typing four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or , and a volunteer should respond shortly. Again, welcome!
- The answer to your first question is clearly that the angle of incidence of the ray at both lens surfaces is a right angle. But..... this really isn't the place for such questions, better to look up the answer here by searching on Lens and going on from there. Velella Velella Talk 14:31, 13 November 2018 (UTC)

editWelcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, we would like you to assume good faith while interacting with other editors, which you did not do on Wikipedia: Teahouse. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Denim11 (talk) 15:32, 13 November 2018 (UTC)

- Hey, MeKL, please don't say that! That makes me sad. You've come here, wanting to contribute to Wikipedia, and so you should. Yes, we do have our rules (actually, rather a lot of them!), but the basics are simple, and I hope you'll stay. Just 'Be bold'; start editing and learning by making small improvements to pages you have an interest in. Maybe correcting spelling errors, or simplifying wording. Later, you might want to learn how to add citations (references) to support any statement that you see or add which doesn't prove the statement to be valid (based upon what we like to call Reliable Sources). You were wrongly left a rather scary warning by another new editor. I have removed that and I have asked them to be a little more careful to other newcomers in future. So, please don't leave us - but have a go at improving articles and come back to the Teahouse if you hit problems, or need help. Regards from the UK, Nick Moyes (talk) 23:53, 13 November 2018 (UTC)
Teahouse talkback: you've got messages!

Should not have gotten a Warning
editMeKLT - a new member of Wikipedia had a misunderstanding of the functions of Warnings, put one on your Talk page. It was removed, and that editor was advised that one rule of Wikipedia is be nice to new editors. I hope you stay on, and find ways to contribute. David notMD (talk) 10:46, 14 November 2018 (UTC)
Please don't delete your account
editHi MeKLT sorry for warning you actually I was very angry at the time. You don't have any worries as the warning has been removed. Now please don't delete your account the Wikipedia is open for everyone. If you have any queries you can go to the Teahouse or you can also contact me on my talk page.Denim11 (talk) 10:30, 15 November 2018 (UTC)

- All beginners make mistakes. My advice is find articles you know something about and see if you can add useful information. Remember to add references, and to describe in the edit summary what you did. David notMD (talk) 12:59, 17 November 2018 (UTC)

Welcome back
editNice to read that from your Teahouse post you are considering staying a part of Wikipedia. Most editors find that improving existing articles is a good way to become experienced in how articles are made, before trying to create a new article. If you want to explore the latter, a good place to start is your own Sandbox. That space, while visible to others, is not in Wikipedia proper, and does not show up when people search on a topic. After you think it is ready, you can submit it to Articles for Creation. David notMD (talk) 22:53, 2 January 2019 (UTC)
