You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Wikipedia by deliberately introducing incorrect information. John from Idegon (talk) 20:37, 11 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

You have been indefinitely blocked from editing Wikipedia as a result of your disruptive edits. Vandalism (including page blanking or addition of random text), spam, deliberate misinformation, privacy violations, personal attacks; and repeated, blatant violations of our neutral point of view policy will not be tolerated. Request reason:

Hello. I would like to request that my indefinite ban be lifted. I’m not for certain if the ban is on my IP or just this account, but my reasoning is as follows. I apologize for any immature behavior on this encyclopedia in the past. I have learned from my mistakes and have realized that messing with an online encyclopedia is not a way to cope with personal problems. If unblocked, I promise to refrain from any further vandalism. I’m sorry.

Accept reason:

Please give an indication of what kind of edits we can expect from you when you are unblocked. Huon (talk) 17:01, 31 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

I’m very interested in history and geography, especially of the Midwestern US. I would like to make any contributions I can to articles about American history and how things got to be the way they are. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mcgu8943 (talkcontribs)

@Ohnoitsjamie: Apart from the vandalism to articles, the editor's trolling on a user talk page fully justify the description "Clearly not here to contribute to the encyclopedia" and the block. Nevertheless, I would be willing to give him or her another chance, in view of the assurances above about future editing intentions. (Of course that would be on the understanding that any more nonsense would lead immediately to the block being reinstated, with much less likelihood of being unblocked again.) Do you have any opinion? JBW (talk) Formerly JamesBWatson 10:56, 5 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

I'm fine with a second chance under those conditions. OhNoitsJamie Talk 13:50, 5 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

Appealing a ban

edit

I would like to appeal a ban from several months ago. I was banned for reckless and disruptive editing. Since then, I have matured and regret my decisions to do that. I promise that in the future, I will only make helpful edits that contribute to Wikipedia. Personally, I am very interested in history, especially of 18th century America. I will try to stay active and contribute as much as possible. Please consider it. Thank you. Mcgu8943 (talk) 03:53, 15 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

I have converted 2 of your 3 unblock requests to comments. SQLQuery me! 21:42, 1 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
