Grace humiston edit

Hello, Margrettethompson, and thank you for your contributions!

I wanted to let you know it seems an article you worked on, Grace humiston, is copied from another Wikipedia page, Mary Grace Quackenbos. It's fine to do this as long as you provide the following information in the edit summary:

  1. a link to the article you copied from
  2. the date you copied it

You can do this now by editing the page, making any minor edit to the article, and adding the above information into the edit summary.

If you're still not sure how to fix the problem, please leave a message at the help desk. It's possible that I made a mistake, so feel free to remove the tag I placed on the article.

Thanks again for helping build the free encyclopedia! MadmanBot (talk) 18:50, 17 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

I thought your article so good, and this subject so important, I nominated it for the Wikipedia Did You Know feature. Good work! WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 21:41, 17 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Talkbalk edit

Hello, Margrettethompson. You have new messages at Margrettethompson's talk page.
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.

I hope I am doing this talkback correctly, but just wanted to say thank you, WikiDan61. It was my first article, so I appreciate the feedback, and would welcome any guidance you have!

You got the part about leaving a talkback template on my page correct. You don't need one here; the point of the template is to inform me (on my talk page) that you have responded here. What you should do here is to sign your posts, with the 4-tilde shorthand: ~~~~. That will cause the Wikipedia software to automatically insert the your signature (either a default signature, or one you have customized yourself. Signature edit

Hello Margrettethompson. I noticed you signed your name to the Mary Grace Quackenbos page. Per WP:SIGNHERE, that is not allowed, as it implies ownership of an article. Thank you for your contributions. Seattle (talk) 01:54, 23 October 2013 (UTC)Reply
