  • As far I can see, everything about this article meets the criteria -- it's new, the cited fact is interesting and well-established, the hook's a good one. My only comment would be that the style of the article feels choppy to me...a lot of one sentence paragraphs. From a DYK standpoint, I don't know that this should matter at all, but I might advise the author to try smoothing out the style a little, from a reader's perspective.
