National Game (disambiguation) edit

Welcome to Wikipedia, Madeinsane! Nice user name. I feel like that sometimes. Regarding your new page, National Game (disambiguation), I was wondering why you created it, if it only refers to one thing. Please see my extended message at its talk page. Thanks much, zappa.jake (talk) 20:47, 17 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Egyptian Arabic edit

Hello! I see that you created user language templates for Egyptian Arabic/Masri. Actually you can find the ones already in use at Category:User ma. Since you seem unaware of them, I'm going to request speedy deletion for the ones you've created. Also, Egyptian Arabic is already listed on WP:Babel. It should not be listed on the non-ISO page because it is an ISO language as you can see [1]. Cheers, — [zɪʔɾɪdəʰ] · 23:04, 20 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Ok point taken. Sorry for the confusion. Madeinsane 13:00, 21 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Image:Bishop Alanis.jpg edit

Hello, Madeinsane. An automated process has found and removed an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, and thus is being used under fair use that was in your userspace. The image (Image:Bishop Alanis.jpg) was found at the following location: User:Madeinsane/Sandbox: Diocese of Urgell Translation. This image or media was attempted to be removed per criterion number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media was replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. Please find a free image or media to replace it with, and or remove the image from your userspace. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 06:26, 15 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Template:Arabic dialect table edit

A template you created, Template:Arabic dialect table, has been marked for deletion as a deprecated and orphaned template. If, after 14 days, there has been no objection, the template will be deleted. If you wish to object to its deletion, please list your objection here and feel free to remove the {{deprecated}} tag from the template. If you feel the deletion is appropriate, no further action is necessary. Thanks for your attention. --MZMcBride 05:38, 9 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Stmaryswallasey.jpg) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Stmaryswallasey.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 01:02, 21 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:National Bingo.gif edit

Thanks for uploading Image:National Bingo.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 17:18, 2 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

A new Oxbridge user box edit

Madeinsane...I am currently in the process of writing a user box for all of the colleges that are part of Oxbridge. This template is meant to replace your current college template. Please take a look at the work in progress and comment on it. My main concerns are college abbreviations and color choice. I am using scarf colors for the colleges. Thank you. - LA @ 18:03, 9 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Translation request edit

Hello, User:Madeinsane. I noticed that you had listed yourself as a translator and proofreader of classical Arabic. I was wondering if, provided you had the time, you could provide some aid in a question I brought up here. I apologize if this is against WP:TIE protocol, but I thought it would be a bit silly to go through the whole request translation process when all I was interested in was the translation of one to three words. Thanks for any help you can give in this matter. -Thibbs (talk) 20:25, 9 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Image copyright problem with Image:Groundshaker.JPG edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Groundshaker.JPG. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Abdulhussain Abdulredha edit

A tag has been placed on Abdulhussain Abdulredha, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the article and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Exxolon (talk) 20:36, 9 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hmm - you might want to work on these articles in userspace until they are least a stub, otherwise anyone unfamiliar with the translation project is likely to repeat my actions on the next article. Exxolon (talk) 03:11, 11 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Al Farooj Fresh edit

Hi Madeinsane, I came to your page as you are still in the category:translators ar-en. I'm afraid I have a request for you. We are discussing Al Farooj Fresh at AfD and I think it's close to being notable with English language sources, however it's probably not quite there. I wonder if you could have a look for relevant Arabic sources and bring them to the party please?! Thanks, Bigger digger (talk) 12:40, 19 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hiking edit

Thanks for your comment on Talk:Hiking/Archives/2020/April#UK_definition_of_.22hiking.22_inaccurate in support of my edit. Please feel free to weigh in again as I have re-added my previous edit that was unjustifiably reverted without explanation by a misguided admin. Innocence of Muslims film trailer edit

Hi, I'm writing because you are listed in Category:Translators ar-en. It was recently pointed out at Talk:Innocence of Muslims#ARABIC Wikipedia version that the English Wikipedia article on the deliberately inflammatory film trailer Innocence of Muslims contains very much more detailed information about the deliberate deceit on the part of the filmmakers to try to obscure their identity and the nature of the trailers which has not yet been added to the Arabic version at ar:براءة_المسلمين which is getting about 8,000 page views per day presently. Would you please consider adding some of the details which might help Arabic readers understand some of the missing details of the trailers? Thank you for your consideration. —Cupco 22:10, 14 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open! edit

Hello, Madeinsane. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of File:Oxfordpaint.PNG edit

The file File:Oxfordpaint.PNG has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

unused, low-res, no obvious use

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:01, 18 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
