Looking further, it seems that Tahiti did not play in the Olympic qualifications, as they aren't even an IOC member. The tournament was combined Olympic Qualification / Pacific Games, but Tahiti didn't compete for the Olympic places, just like New Zealand didn't compete for the Pacific title. None of the three sources confirm the claims in this article, one states that the board is "thinking of launching their BPL" and only confirms that they will do a competition for school girls[15], one talks about an existing three-team tournament, and just states "If we can't start the women's franchise league in the next two seasons of BPL, we will try to do it in the third season."[16], while the final source, from yesterday, is the only one somewhat concrete about these plans, but only says "he possible time of the first season is December this year or January next year." and has no info on the format or the number of teams.[17] I don't know if the article as written is mostly speculation (which has no place on enwiki then) or based on another source than the ones given (even though the one from yesterday should be up to date), but as it stands the article is not acceptable.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
